    Story time!!!..
I heard this shabad long time ago and still my fav lol
Got interested in the pictures, tried my best to find them online especially the one with Guru nanak dev ji and Mardana ji( I think) and the one where a saint soldier is meditating. I spent so much time to find them but never found them, that was like more than a year ago. Eventually gave up the search but that shabad with guru nanak dev ji's picture makes me feel more connected , so those two pictures pretty much stayed in my mind. They change my state of mind.
Few days ago stumbled upon sikhiart( hope it's spelled right) website out of nowhere and found the pictures there!!!!! Lol  stalked the artist which lead me to Facebook and found Narsingh Narayan ji's painting and then realized it's you. Since ragmaala ji talked about that painting.
your art is amazing, I have been a fan of your art since a long time without knowing who created it. I hope they start putting the artists name. I was so desperate at one point to find Guru Nanak dev ji's painting. Wanted it so bad when we bought a new house but now I know where to look. I have no words to describe how beautiful those paintings are. Every single one of them is beautiful and heart/soul touching. You are one very talented sikh artist. Thank you for creating them. Mad respect for your art.

GurpreetKaur reacted to Lucky in What kind of shower to take after workout ? Hot or Cold
    Both.
As you are aware, heat causes vasodilation and cold causes vasoconstriction.
After a workout, muscles are tighter, pumped and have gone through a series of contractions.  A series of events unfold from these contractions which leads to many chemicals being produced and especially lactic acid.    I have had it explained to me as if to think of the internal blood muscle differently to  the blood that bathes the external muscle. Therefore, the internal part of the muscle draws in as much blood and nurtrients for the contractions, but it can end up pooling in there and causing stiffness later on.   In effect, the blood bathing the external  body of muscle will be less mobile and of a lower volume.  This is why your biceps end up looking and feeling pumped after workout.  ...with all this in mind, it makes sense to get some vasodilation to prevent stiffness and cramps... so you would use "heat".  However, too much dilation can lead to more loss of sweat and salts, so many people recommend to do a quick switch to cold and get the vasoconstriction. This way none of your body parts will be deprived of any nutrients and you will feel stimulated and more alive.  But the biggest reason for me to do this hot-cold is because it is activates and energizes your subtle-etheric body and helps get your prana flowing. Remember that prana/chi is not air/oxygen, but it is the sukham life-force. You will also understand why many Sikhs recommend a cold shower at amrit vela. I believe you get the same effect if you have a warm shower and then in the last minute or so turn the dial to cooler and colder. I usually get out of the shower after being exposed to it's coldest setting for the last 30 seconds or to the point where I get the shift in my breathing pattern.

excellent! ....this uncle's more than genuine.. what he's describing seems like full  'rom rom' activation. With rom rom it is important to focus on nabhi and get sukhmana activated upwards, but he's nabhi activation must have been real powerful because it's gone both downwards to feet and up towards head. It is recommended that you don't try going downwards because many abyasees have got stuck at the mooldhar,  .. but what he's described is "perfection"

I know Masaru Emoti's experiments well. He flash froze water while doing same as above and then looked at the crystals under microscope.  The difference in the crystals was amazing and undeniable. It shows that our consciousness can and does affect the world around us.  And that hatred causes low vibration while love is high vibration. In Cymatics higher vibrations give rise to more complex forms.  It's really very interesting!!

True...good tool for self awareness, but very rare to find any good astrologer. If I ever go to India, I will find the one sitting under the tree who looks so old and non materialistic and he can create my Chart lol. Back in mom dad days, many pundit or jyotish would come to pind and they would spend so many hours to create a chart and they would not even ask for a lot of money. One jyotish made a dad's Astro chart, it's so complicated with all that stuff but he was so right with dad's life and upcoming things. Puratan time astrology was considered a sewa and there was so no charge for that. But now it's a profession.

When I went to India, one of my relatives showed me his janam patri, a thick book he got made from an astrologer.
He was an intelligent guy, and he told me that the writings in the book are possible life events. The book was broken down into multiple sections, where each sections was a time period of his life. The astrologer wrote about possibilities during each period in his life. Those writings formed a guideline for how to live best during that period.
He clarified that these were things that could happen. That he should watch out and learn to avoid the pitfalls and take up the opportunities.
For example, for one of the sections, it said something like, "During this time period you might face people who will get on your nerves, so you must bring awareness into your interactions and avoid conflicts. Also drive slowly and carefully to not get into accidents." I am giving a very brief summary here, it was much more detailed in the book.
I found this to be a useful tool in dealing with daily life. Reminders on small things that we might overlook. Reminders about our certain areas of our ahankar getting the best of us and how to keep it in check if it bloats up.
E.g. if you are the type of person who is easily irritated, you might need to read "people will get on your nerves, be careful" every single day, and work towards minimizing your irritation.
I read it and thought this was a good tool for developing self-awareness.
Afterall, Jyotish/Jyotik means one who gives knowledge of the self (jyoti)

I looked up this experiment, it demonstrates the power of thought. It was the same guy who demonstrated how different kinds of music & thought had an effect on the crystalline structure of water.
If normal words & thoughts can have such an effect, just imagine the tremendous power of Gurbani which has came straight from the Dhur/Sachkhand. No wonder it takes us back to the source.  May Waheguru bless us all.

    Vaheguroo,
I had a furnah while meditating to do a rice experiment. I did it couple years ago and got interesting results. So I wanna do it again. Masaru Emoto started it and many people did it and interesting results were seen. Some call it pseudoscience and some call it power of thoughts. I don't wanna prove anything, I just wanna see how it goes.
I will do it with three jars of boiled rice. 1,2,3 jars
    1. It will stay in my room away from the place where I do Bhagti. And I will send negativity to poor jar. :(. I wrote I don't like you. You are ugly, worthless. (( I feel bad for this jar, but it's all good lol)
    2. Neutral type, will put in basement and nobody goes there much so it will be neglected.
    3. I will place this jar where I read Gurbani or I call it my sacred place.
edited:(( 4th jar will recieve positive thoughts, I can talk to my rice jars all day long now.:), if you feel lonely boil some rice put them in jars and you have friends lol ))
My plan is to observe them for 30 days unless they go bad before that. I will post pictures of their appearance maybe after every other day or two.
when I did it last time, it was with two jars. I was not into reading Gurbani so all I did was neglected the one jar and sent just some loving thoughts to second one lol. Neglected jar was rotten way before the other jar.

Its definitely Gallbladder.  If I was you or my sister was telling me the same story I would tell her to go to the Emergency right away. If emergency thinks its gallbladder you may get your turn earlier. Your symptoms have gotten worse, i.e now you have nausea & vomiting with pain. We don't want any infection to develop or get worse.
So I would seriously tell you to go to ER

Nobody said men don't need love. When men feel respected, they feel loved. And when women feel loved, they feel respected.
Both need both love and respect.
However, there is a fundamental difference in what men and women respond to.
For example, after a fight, men will often break away and go into solitude, whereas, women will often "tend and befriend" and talk about it.
One is a gesture of respect, ie respecting the other person's thoughts and space. The other has no regard for that, it is about love and connection.

Btw when it comes to this, you are no different from other women. Any time you have a fight with any of the members here, or when you feel you are welcomed on this forum, or something like that, you make long posts about it where you try to "tend and befriend". You seek to establish the connection again that was broken with the incident earlier. And when you do, you still come back to the forum after announcing multiple times, that you will leave. That is not about respect at all.
Whereas with men, we stay even if we feel unwelcome and we just up and leave if it's too much. You will never hear about it.

Now both men and women, will do both of the above. Men will do more of the latter, and women will do more of the former.

Coming back to respect and love.
There is are many problems with the news you cited.
Men and women both need love and respect, but the way in which they receive those is different. So the women saying they want respect does not counter what Mrs Feldhahn or Dr Eggerich are saying. Because what is different about them is in the way they receive it in relationships. Both researchers have said this multiple times.
Ask yourself, why do women doll themselves up? Why do they emphasize their youth and baby-like features? Why do they want to enhance their appearance with a billion creams that are on the market? Is this so that they feel respect? Hardly. They are mostly looking to attract love.
Why do men feel more pressured to earn? Why are they more eager to take dangerous, unfulfilling jobs that pay well? Earning a living is primarily about gaining respect for men. In a family, men feel that they will be loved if they are earning, because they will gain respect.

That said, I agree to this. But I think you are missing the fundamental differences in men and women, and how they play out.
I haven't seen it on the forum but it maybe that your nature might be different than most other women. Even then, it would still be correct to say that men need respect and women need love.
