I agree that widespread mentalities are a  root cause of this. And it is 'respectable' people in positions that the ahhm junta look up to, that cowardly turn a blind eye, or underplay what goes on. 
I mean look at that Huddersfield grooming case where one of the leaders of the groomers (Dhaliwal) had a grandfather that was a Gurdwara pardaan. 
If all the stuff about gorian being groomed didn't blow up - I still believe most of our 'respectable' elders would still pretend this doesn't happen to us on the scale it does. I get a feeling they would rather this all blew away so they can get on with the usual rubbish they get up to. 
I think some subtle but deep- rooted insecurity about poverty amongst our lot plays a part too btw. They are so obsessed with appearing a certain way and keeping up with the Jones, that they blind themselves to serious family security measures as a consequence.

That is the whole point, we are failing at the basics. The mentality of our people is the problem and hard to fix. 
You are right, giving up is not the answer, neither am I advising the same. I'm suggesting that we start with fixing our own mentality as also encourage our friends. I think if we have a respectable character we will be able to help others fix themselves. I see hypocrisy, cognitive dissonance and dishonesty as the problems as there are people who say one thing and do another. They are the ones that hold high and respectable positions. Further there is this whole 'family reputation' crap as opposed to daughter's wellbeing when it comes to the grooming of our daughters and sisters. That mentality has to go if we want to advance to do something about this problem. 
All in all, I think we should start at fixing the mentality of our people by first starting with ourselves and those around us. I believe our mentality is the reason of most problems.

Not trying to be pessimistic but, if we look at it realistically, it is near impossible. The thing is everyone blames each other and ignore their own faults. I'm not trying to point fingers at anyone on this forum, rather I'm just saying that in general people turn a blind eye to their faults while blaming others for the same. That is where the problem starts. Cognitive dissonance and hypocrisy seem to be rather big issues, in general. I think the world would be a much better place, if instead of ridiculing  eachother for faults, we focus on improving ourselves and encouraging eachother to do the same. I believe any solution is ineffective if we aren't willing to change ourselves, first, otherwise we are the biggest problem as we are doing exactly what we are opposing, this is hipocrisy and cognitive dissonance. Understanding and communication is also important among people. 
Further, people seem to have a rather messed up moral compass. I'm still trying to observe this behaviour. If someone is in a position of authority or in a position recognised as 'holy', people automatically assume that that person is indeed faultless. I think people tend to think in terms of black and white, they don't necessarily know what righteouness is. Righteouness is to oppose corrupt authority not to respect the same. Believe it or not, some people think that respecting authority even if they are corrupt, is morally right compared to opposing them. That is just one example among many that indicates people know not morals. It is indeed a crooked world we live in.
All in all, what I wish to say is that people who are major partakers of a problem are often ignorant of their part in the same. They very frequently tend to ignore their own faults. The main thing would be to bring greater awareness on their impact on the problem. This is very hard. People will find it painful to see their own faults, it's like medicine, bitter and detestable but it is the solution. For example, if we take the bangra dancers or the booze gurglers into account, I doubt they will see much wrong with their actions. If they do, it is cognitive dissonance. Therefore, most problems stem from internal feuds or ego.

Bro, you can't be serious. Everything they show in the TV serial is 100% accurate isn't it? If you haven't realised, feminism has severely plagued indian shows like Ramayan, etc. I was watching the newer version of it called 'Siya ke Ram', in which Ram and Sita had a go at Lakshman for chopping off Surpnakha's nose. Whereas, in the Valmiki Ramayana, Ram asked Lakshman to cut off Surpnakha's nose.
Furthermore, in Valmiki Ramayan, there was no Lakshman rekha. Lakshman rekha was added later on. Even within Valmiki Ramayan, Lakshman does not recognise Sita's ornaments and only recongnises her anklets. 
Instead of creating the 'Lakshman rekha' Lakshman told Sita to stay safe and pleaded to the Gods and dieties of the forest to protect her. He did not look at her above her feet, still. He was angry, at this point. I hope you know what compelled him to go in search of Ram, eventhough he knew for a fact it was a bad idea. Practice. Massive amounts of practice. At one point in my life where I was reciting Japji Sahib ten times daily, I could recite Japji Sahib in about four minutes. Neither tongue nor throat moved. It was pure thought. I was told abhiyaasi Gursikhs could recite Japji Sahib in 2 minutes and I was trying to emulate them. Sadly I could never achieve it. 

The Raja from this tale would follow whatever the Rani said, just like the Raja from the original tale. The kingdom is given to the pauper and the Raja killed, this shows that the minister and Raja followed whatever the Rani said bringing about the destruction of the king, thus great sorrow befell on the kingdom. This can be related to the original tale, the minister is showing the Raja that if one follows the council of such women without question destruction befalls him and his kingdom.
In the above tale, the minister follows the Rani's council without question on his part, he failed to use his intellect. However, it could be argued that he was in a tight spot and could not do much, reflecting the position of the minister from the original story. This is why the minister resorts to telling the Raja, from the original tale, many stories of deception, in this way he uses his intellect in the best interests of the king and the kingdom.
The minister is explaining to the Raja that destruction is going to befall on his kingdom if he executes his son. As the Raja is old, the Rani, after his death might even marry a lowly man, as the kingdom would have no heir and she will be free to marry whomever she wishes to marry. The kingdom will be bereft of dharam and lose all order, leading to its destruction. Therefore, the minister gets the Raja to think ahead and make wise choices regarding the prince's execution. 

Chandi is the jagatmata, the energy from which the universe was created. Durga is an expansion of chandi, she is present within all. She is the power or shakti of Akal Purakh. Chandi is merely one among her many names. She is the one that helps us move, think, grow, talk, etc. Lakshmi, Sarswati and Parvati are merely representations of her satto, rajo and tamo qualities, respectively. In reality, chandi is the feminine shakti form of Akal Purukh, hence they are the same. Many believe that Chandi di vaar, Shastar naam mala, etc. are about Durga, in reality guru ji is praising the divine shakti, as discussed above, that resides in Durga, Kali, shastar, astar, rakatbeej, etc. not just Durga alone. 
Just like how Lakshmi is the personification of Vishnu ji's shakti, likewise Sarswati and parvati are of Brahma and Mahesh, respectively. Even so is Chandi/ Bhagauti/ Maya the personification of Vaheguru's Shakti. If you read chandi di vaar, it says "Khanda prithmai saaj kai, jin sai(n)saar oopaiya. Brahma bisan saaj(eh) kudrat da khel rachaa(ai) baNaa(ai)aa." This tells that at the beginning of the creation, Vaheguru created the Khanda (referring to Chandi, feminine Shakti form of Akal Purukh), from which shakti the trinity, Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh came into being. Now it makes sense that guru ji wrote such banis so that we could plead the mercy of Chandi so that she may reside in us and shastars so that we may gain victory on the field of battle. Those who are familiar with Chandi di Vaar may understand this, "taitho(n) hi bal raam l(ai) naal baNaa da(h)sir ghaa(ai)yaa, taitho(n) hi bal krisan l(ai) Kans kesi(n) paka(rh) giraa(ai)yaa." this is referring to the shakti of Akal Purukh, Chandi. Bal=shakti, hence Ram and Krishan also took shakti from Akal Purukh in order to defeat Ravan and Kans, respectively. 
Even though no one can describe Chandi as she is beyond description, may this help in getting a vague idea of Jagatmata Chandika.

That sounds like me. When I was young I used to get extremely angry very easily. Since I started meditation with waheguru's grace it is really hard to make me angry now. Now I m a very calm and completely changed person

I have a slight doubt in my mind, is meat only for nihangs?
In the past, the sikhs had to fight so they would have consumed it, however during the current times mainstream sikhs don't really fight. So are mainstream sikhs allowed to eat it or is a vegetarian diet recommended for us? 
Taksalis say to avoid meat. Are there exceptions for who can eat meat and who can't? 
I'm not saying the practice of jhatka is wrong or anything, I'm just confused about when and by whom it is to be practiced.

When he says that He shall resurrect the khalsa, it doesn't necessarily mean in Guru Avtar form. there are many nit avtaars who have served the panth in time of need, such as Baba Attar Singh ji Mastauna wale.

I don't know how or when exactly... but bhramgiani has confirmed that it will be in my lifetime. That is why so many shaheed singhs and singhnis are taking birth now. That is why the younger generation is so much more devoout than their parents.
