This topic about Dusehra escaped me.  I was reading ramayan today and came across this which I wanted to share with everyone.

Welcome back, and you got it!   I have a huge problem trying to explain this to people because they can't seem to grasp it. You have to "surrender" and leave ego behind. No questions, no what if's, no what is this or what was that? ... Just devote and give in to the jaap with NO INTENTIONS or CONDITIONS.  The only pre-condition must be that I wanna see and be with my maker.. Just like bhagat dhanna. He could have sat in front of anything you gave him and would have still seen his malik because his intention was completely pure and there wasn't  an ounce of mayavee condition.      I have had countless gursikhs saying I can't progress, I've taken amrit, do nitnem, do sukhmani, do hour of simran...but still feel stuck.  When I ask them what their real intentions are  ie. what is the ardas? do they do it just for sukh shanti and peaceful bliss? ...is it for success? ,  riches, happy relationships,  happy marriages??   The answer is always yes.  Then I tell them that they are doing a sodhha based on conditions and they need to look within.   You can't get enlightened with pre-conditions of maya.  Our ardas is not an introductory prelude for a list of wants and wishes to add on at the end; sadly this is what we make it.
I know of one guy who started seeing the brahm jyot and reaching heights of advanced experiences; simply by sitting down with complete surrender and love in the heart. He used a part visualisation that I mentioned a long time ago to imagine his consciousness shrinking into a small dot and completely letting go of his body. He amended it slightly to putting this dot of awareness directly into the heart chakra area in centre of chest and doing jap with heart beat.  No conditions, no wants, no ardas list, except asking forgiveness for wrongs and surrendering of mann into-> the heart/Atma.

I am sorry there are no stages as in future stages, every moment we have a choice identify with our ego or get out of ego conceptual framework- identify with pure surat-awareness before mind kicks in. Unfortunately we all give in to human conditioning and identify with conceptual ego moment to moment, whole point of simran is remembrance of this truth-natural indentification with our pure surat before illusion of i am a person.

Muslims (the collective mainstream) only care for their own kind.  Though Khalsa Aid does do a lot of seva, they should tend to our own community as well.

Humble namaskar to anyone who helps others. But here in the UK whilest this crises was making headline news, I counted at least 8 muslim tv channels who were supporting the same cause and raising a lot more mone than khalsa aid. There was a case in Pakistan where a sikh girl of 17 was abducted and forced to marry a muslim this year. As of yet she has not returned home. khalsa aid really could have helped that family with moeny for legal representation. We don't make any headway with one or two brownie points.

On the other hand its good to see you back!

This Gurbani mahavak pankiti - Sahib mera Nit Nava Sada Sada Dataar ||  has so much depth.
The way i understood this pankiti is that one universal pure aware being (ikOngkar) / absolute truth is EVER FRESH-ALIVE AND NEW moment to moment assert itself moment to moment to moment- ever fresh and new , expresses itself into infinite ways and in infinite ever fresh and new epiphanies.
Hence, why we cannot approach Vahiguru ji with conceptual knowledge, expereinces, out of memory, past or future but Now ETERNALLY PRESENT !!
    Sada Sada Datar
    Always always eternal giver.

    Your thoughts please?

KAMAYEE is never lost. It remains on your Atma blueprint for hundreds-thousands years of past lifetimes. It is the ONLY thng you take with you, The Naam Khajhaana that bani refers to, only stores Naam kamayee. Naam is the TRUTH and the the truth can never fade away or be wiped.

I think Jaggi is at the mercy of the Punjab police and their political and legal system.
The way they are conducting this investigation it is becoming more and more obvious they have no intention of releasing him anytime soon. For each case they try to pin on him, police have up to 15 days to question him after which time he must be sent into judicial custody. Police then have up to 90 days to which to prepare a case and press charges or he must be released for that case. The way the police are systematically keeping him in their custody by starting a new case every time one judicial remand starts just shows they intend to harass him for some time to come.
It doesn't look very hopeful that the Foreign Commonwealth Office can do much. According to their website it looks like they can't do jack as it is not their jurisdiction to interfere in another countries legal system as flawed as it maybe.
I was surprised to learn that he is not even entitled to have legal representation during questioning. His solicitor only meets him for 1 hour each day.
What the FCO and British consulate can’t do
The FCO and British consulate won’t be able to:
get you out of prison or detention help you get special treatment offer legal advice, start legal proceedings or investigate a crime pay for any costs as a result of being arrested forward packages sent by friends or family to you prevent authorities from deporting you after release get involved if you are a dual national and are arrested in a country for which you hold a valid passport, unless there’s a special humanitarian reason to do so
    PS. Welcome back N30.

Very good and very deep. Understanding the concept and differentiation between Atma & Chetun and other deep questions are answered very well.  I've had the utmost respect for babaji from an older recording where he answered many questions at incomparable depths; much to my liking.
I've listen to it twice now, very slowly, and stopping after each question for a good while to contemplate within myself.   Thumbs up here!

Gurbani says "janam janam ke kilbikh lathe"   ..from countless janams and births,.. the paaps, sins and karams can all be washed away with this one-pointed "No intentions"  practice and approach.

Not always the case. There are various scenarios, but most commonly, if the person doing the jap has a consciousness vibrating at much lower levels than recipient, then they would be more susceptible to suffering the mirror/reverse effect.  It also depends a great deal on what the intentions and directions of divine healing are being put forward by the doer. I do my own spiritual healing and have gained much better understanding of how God works in the mysterious ways of maya.

Depending on seeker perception towards gurbani, if seekers feel and see gurbani as jagat gyan jot (Pure knowledge/awareness) approach it with no mind-thoughtless/no forna just being one with reciting gurbani or gurbani shabad. It will burn thousands years of conditioning instantly.

I remember talking to sant jagjit singh ji harkhowale about this. Whilst he never downplayed havan ritual itself -udasi and nirmale do with gurbani mantras invoke shaheed singhs. He did mentioned In our tradition, havan is practical instead of offering havan /fire to deities instead fire is used in langar to cook and gurbani is reciten.
    Now thats practical.

Good discussion all around, all views are welcome here even polar opposite ones.
Main crux here is Sri guru granth sahib ji is our Ishat Dev Guru not Agni. Objectification of Sri guru granth sahib ensues bhagti results in one of five types of mukti which is parvan in gurmat.
What does objectification of fire ensues ? Not much except if you are really esoteric knows essence(tat) of fire and really into vedant

Bro it's difficult but you need to stay busy. Even if you have nothing to do do some seva, there's always dishes to be washed shoes to be cleaned at the Gurdwara!! That sadhsangat will help protect you. Try to stay in their energy more by going to Gurdwara more often. This is the biggest, easiest thing you can do.  On top of that, I found salty or overly sweet foods cause increase in kaam, especially when eaten in the latter half of the day. Same with achar taken in later half of day. Coffee/tea are also stimulating. Eating from manmukh people, their negative thought energy in the food will influence you negatively. Don't leave lots of excess energy in the tank. Work out, go for a run or take martial arts. Burn up that excess energy in useful activity.
