Just some advice, make sure someone is with you that doesn't take it so they can watch out for you, incase it's a bit strong for you.
Are you really curious on the effects of bhaang?
Ok .. this is a faint memory, i ll try to recall.
It waz abt 15-20 yrs ago while i waz in coll back home. Our city was famous for a big Mahadev temple. One day as we reached college after the private morning lesson, it waz a holiday due to Shivratri we didnt know of
We were a gang of 8 to 10 boys n gals n you know how those days are. Carefree and fun loving we all were. A few girls among the bunch offered to go to Mahadev temple as they used to do regular Monday vrats too.
So there went us all to the mandir. Mine was pure curiosity and fun drive to tk me to the high peak as had never been to that mandir before n anyway didn't want to go back home so early.Ok so as we reached the temple it was much crowded than i thot. Long lines for darshan repelled me to an extent that i offered to stand outside with the shoes of my frens. Later. we all noticed that the longer que was of "thandai" or shambhu prasad" ss the board read.
Curiosity took over the better part of each of us but the que.
The que for women was relatively smaller. One of the bolder ones bought a water bottle from the nearby stand and got it empty, then stood in the que for a good 30 mins to get us all a bottle full of -bhaang
Yes i did have a big mouthful of that cool peppermint tasting drink n must agree that it was delicious. The girl who got it offered it to all one by one, Most of us had a sip or two except herself who finished the rest of it . - about 1/3 of a litre.
The effect was pretty fast on her. The otherwise sober among others stood there in front of the big statue of Shiva admiring his muscles n talking sexy about his body.
Other girls somehow caught hold of her and we left her home with a lot of difficulty. She kept on dancing n singing all the way back home. She didn't remember anything a day after. Though we all teased her senses out later. As for me when i reached home i told my mother bout our trip to the temple n me tasting bhang. She offered me regular early lunch and a lemonade. I remember eating more than i usually did n went to sleep . Didnt wake up till night. Had dinner may be ( not sure) n slept again. Woke up next morning.
So eventually a person keeps on doing what ever he's upto for a very long interval of time without being in senses after having bhung. Even a single sip has some effect. It's that strong n thas y m against it.
One more time my father saab ate bhaang pakoras in an official holy party without his knowledge n it was worse, i tell you.
That is why i tell everyone to be afar from these intoxicants. They may be natural jadi booti but they are far more strong than any whiskey or alchohol.Rest is your choice. Call me tweedle dumb or what you may.

Maybe NASA read Gurbani afterall.
Very well!
Gaaveh khaani chaare. Gaaveh khand mandal varbhanda....
I kept on wondering for a long time if Astral sounds are Anhad sounds?
They are pretty close to what i hear. Then as Gurbani says gyaan khand mai gyaan parchand tithe naad binod kod Anand which means that one reaches gyaan khand he hears these naad and gains spiritual wisdom plus bliss. Now astral sounds can be a part of naad though like any other music however its not the same as Anhad. Now since naam vibrates in every thing naam vibrates in planets as well hence astral sounds can be naam but naam isn't Astral sounds.
I love his creation. So interesting yet so complex- vismaad n achraj

Again! I would have to disagree.
This reminds me of a story. A beggar was given a boon to ask for anything he wants. He asked for a car, when asked Why? He said it would be easy for me to reach the temple everyday where I come to beg, if i have a car.

The spiritual waves and divine vibrations talked about in the above passage will probably come into play when a person has attained a Mantar Sidhi.
Mantar Sidhi is not an easy process. According to an ancient text, you will have to multiply the total number of letters in a Mantar by 100,000 to attain its Sidhi.
The below will give you an idea on how difficult it can be to attain a Mantar Sidhi.
So for example, if you are planning to do Sidhi of a Gurbani verse, which has 15 letters in it, you will have to repeat that verse (with love, concentration, devotion, following other rules, etc) 1.5 million times before you attain it's Sidhi.

Perhaps because she's right? These granths were altered after his death. Else why would he defame his own grandfather ? Which is much of a possibility done by muslims of those times or by gorays. Most of the goray wanted sikhs to be their soldiers as they were brave and we all know about their cunningness to frame sikhs under the name of the Gurus.
They changed all this to frame sikhs that soldiers in Gurus times used opium n bhung to make sure that sikhs remain out of their minds and only use their bodies instead.
Or may be he was like our bro

Brother if you don't know answer of the question better is don't say anything.... Gurbani buddhi da vishey( subject) nahi hai.???..Gurbani tu Giyaan kon lenda hai? when you read SGGS, don't you try to understand it?? Can you understand without buddhi???
yaar tusi te bade gusse plus jaldi vich lagde ho? I told you I didn't understand it then .. It's a matter of practice. Of experience. It's Not the matter of explainations... Ok tell me something I was hungry I ate something filling I am satisfied now, if a guest comes to me and ask me how did your tummy get satisfied by what you ate. I don't know what to tell him. All I can tell him is I was hungry. I got food. It satisfied me. But how? I have no clue.. That's how its meant to be. Earth is round. It revolves around the Sun but why nd how? I don't know..
As you progress in Bhakti you cross few hurdles and move further in Stages- avasthas. You are right. I don't have answers. I am no gyaani but this forum I am aware, has those brilliant diamonds. Be humble. Keep walking.. You will feel those avasthaas yourself.. If you r keen in getting answers you WILL get them. Bani certifies that. Turde ko turda mile urde ko urda

Another interesting link i came across from Yogananda Paramahansa book -

Are their astral worlds or they are traps as same as earth.
Seems like after earth you must go on further planes.
And in those plane we have some other ways to get enlightened ">.
These stories are interesting.
Would like to hear thoughts from you people on this post and even on the post life is dream.
I want progress in my journey further as who knows what will be you in your next birth or reincarnation so i want to devote my life to meditation.
They are all traps bro. There are thousands of worlds out there. Paataala paatal lakh agaasa aagaas orak orak bhaal thake.. Keep on searching and getting tired. The only parmeshwar is sarab vyaapak- omnipresent. Why waste time in searching Astral worlds when we can feel him as close as our eyes

Yes if someone could clarify the situation about "kithe dhyan launa" I think Tohana ji and Gurmat Meditation sangat have different viewpoints.
No brother, they both are the students of PMKC Moga. We should put our dhyaan as per Dharamjeet Singh ji on a point outside our forhead. He points at it about 6 inches bahar than forhead Or nose end and Simranjeet Singh tohana calls the same as khali khala. Point is same only the manner of saying is different.
That's what I have understood. I stand to be corrected.

I asked this question & what you told me is exactly what Simranjeet Singh Tohana is saying. I live in Surrey BC.
Tohana says mastak vich ve diyaan de point ne……on other hand I hear him saying mastak vich diyaan nahi launa...body te lodd nahi pauna......( I know there are 6 chakras) But lets get to my question:
Dreams come in Subconsciousness so I believe surti goes from conscious to Subconscious.....if it goes out can you please tell me how it goes out? From nose, from eyes, from where? I would love to meet someone in Surrey too who knows this answer....
there r 3 stages: waking, dreaming, deep sleep 4th one is Turiya
How can we say surti goes out? If goes out? then where OR is it all happening inside the body...
Need practical answers please ( I have listened many Khatas too)
When I was small and ask questions like these my mom used to say "beta Gurbani buddhi da vishey( subject) nahi hai" I didn't understand then but now I do.

You shouldn't really have too many questions for Gurmukhs unless your having simran problems or experiences that you want to share or discuss with them. Honestly they get fed up with people calling them all the time. Don't become one of those. Keep it once every few weeks or months. Then they love to hear from you, and see how your getting on. Just shows them you not one of those who came and then disappeared never to reach out to them again.
Don't become one of those who calls after every sneeze or tyre puncture to ask why it happened to you? Please do ardas for me etc etc.. When they do a natural bachan of their own choosing for you, then that is the most powerful blessing you will ever need.
I was recently telling my teacher that I'm struggling to do simran for more than 15 mins before I drift into Sunn and I am going in and out in one sitting. I was concerned that I should be forcing myself to stay awake because I kept on hearing mix signals from everyone what I should do, even once from him. He said absolutely not. Don't force yourself because you wont be able to. Let sunn/sehaj come. Get to the stage when you are able to say Waheguru once and you have gone into Sunn. Leave the rest to Waheguru to work His magic. If you can fall into sunn / sehaj listening to sehaj dhun/anhad sounds then even better, but if not keep working on the gurmantar and let the mind drift into sunn when it wants. This has been bothering me for months and years now I think and I keep going round in circles
So what do you both suggest, shall I keep on walking my path without any particular teacher among these. Keep on picking tits and tats from here and there with SGGS as my everything as sukhpreet says.
-
True ! I am so thankful and proud to be a part of this platform.
Thank you
-
Exactly is what is happening with me too. Thanks sat ji for this, you have given it words. I am drowning and I know I am but don't know how to save myself.
Looking for sangat we created a group of a few like minded Gurmukhs, but then each has a different teacher one among you mentioned and a few more. Who's that ONE teacher to follow is my quest.
I got to Amrit ras - sehaj subhaay and then thought it was a disease for lack of knowledge. Started following other Mat's philosphers. Something similar happened to mooorakh bhn, she got close to dhund before seeing Parmatma and thought it's her eye sight.
Now One Teacher fights 5 chanting loudest with Gurmantra . Other says pyaar naal 'pani khicho'. Third calls Wa he Guru in 3 syllables and each claims they have seen waheguru with their jugti. I am stuck of course looking for the one right for me. Only Gurmail singh ji mentioned about dhund but he also mentioned about colors which Dharamjeet singh ji said is nowhere in SGGS as one other lady in the group follows him and discussed it with him. He said this shouldn't be followed. Simranjeet singh ji is too busy and has too many followers. That's why this isn't an easy path..

Now that's a story brother. I heard about this Veerji from a learned Gurmukh, he also sent these recordings. I downloaded this app, got his number from there and called him. Don't ask me why because I am still asking this myself. Now this person had a strong persona. A very strong vibration, he said he could take me across the bhavjal of vichaars
Yes you read it right. He says he can.
I got in dubidha - one head said wow! I have been asking for this all my life, koi aave santo! types and the logical one says - Hows it possible?
I was stuck. I contacted a few Gurmukhs I know including mooorakh bhn she's a member of a gurbani group I follow. Sent them all the recordings and pics. But haven't received any substantial answer yet
What shall I do? Is this a test or an opportunity? I hv started following Osho few years ago, don't want to repeat my mistake. This veerji seems full of practical gyaan, talks sense. Chants Waheguru. No money or any thing asked rather he's in merchant Navy, so he earns a hefty salary-don't see any minus anywhere

Can someone please elaborate more on this and yoga and meditation in sikhi part.

And as for kirtan. You are # learned enough to refer to Bani as to what actually kirtan is. Our Gurus have given such signifance to raags and dhunis. Those who hear anhad naads would know the importance of kirtan like moorakh bhenji but if you are disgracing a Gurmukh taunting about tolerance, I personally find you intolerant rather.
Not just anything or anyone can do kirtan
