I believe gurbani. The khel is beyond logic. Everything is Karam and everything is a khel, derived from Nothing. If one goes to hell, it’s Karam. But in reality hell is an illusion as is the khel. It’s beyond logic. We cannot comprehend it, using worldly logic... it can only be experienced and felt. And the path of Truth discovery never ends.

Try reading and applying the gyan of gurbani to your life (Truthful living) and taking to long simran sessions from 12pm onwards. Go deep into your samadhi and discover it.

The celibates i know are old school gursikhs from sampradaye. Their mindsets and lifestyle are different and were more geared to be celibate.
now i think you should try to be a normal couple while trying to practice sikhi
kaam can be involved in marriage thats why we practice sikhi so its influence lessens. You cant take preventative measures, its according to your avasta so I recommend finding someone likeminded as you.

if you feel intense kaam everyday and your married then you gotta channel it. If you're not married, get married and in the meantime, try to progress physically, spiritually and in any other way you like.

I cannot speak for anyone else but a brahgyani told me that sex should only be used for reproduction. After a few years the reason for this became clear. Even arousal uses pran. Higher stages of meditation cannot become stable unless pran is stable. A great deal of pran is expelled during arousal and intercourse, and those who have strong desire for spiritual progress will try to abstain once they experience the effect and impact.

Of course, abstinence isn't for everyone, but we shouldn't make assumptions without understanding purpose and how this machine (body) works.

Lust is a big struggle for many of us. Myself included. Even swapan dosh ruins meditation for a while. Many lifetimes of dirt needs to be washed away before we start making real progress.

Practically there is no way to become celibate.
it is only by His kirpa, that one can overcome not only kaam, but also conquer the rest of the 5 chor.
As the Bani beautiifully tells us in few words: Sarab rog ka aukhad Naam.
Meditate on His Name, and you shall get rid of all your maladies.
At some other place, Bani also tells us : Prabh ka Simran, man kee mael jaae.
Kaam is dirt on the mind, which can only be removed with the water of meditation and the soap  of His Name.

Bro, there is plenty of reference to Saints in Gurbani. You cannot run away from the facts.
One can connect with the Almighty Waheguru directly too through Gurbani, but it is very very very tough to do so.
Easy method - Saadh Sangat - Sangat of Saints/Gurmukhs/Sadhus.

literal meaning of celibate is to control your desires and don't have physical relationship .

A married couple can be a celibate as well , while having physical relationship . ( and obviously they have to follow rehit maryada )

Once a gursikh asked Baba Nand Singh Ji , how can he becoma a celibate while being married ?

    He answered :
for a grahsti 2 children are enough .

have relationship only once in a whole year .

if u still can't control ur self , make it once in 6 months i.e. twice in a year

if u still can't do it , make it once a month .

if u still can't control ur self , do it once a week ( on tuesday , between 11 pm to 1 am )

and the next day in the morning , take a kesi ishnan .

And if you still can't control it , then you are not a sikh of Guru Nanak , U r a vishayi ( a person engrossed in sensual pleasures )

    Sikhilove jee,
your above description of  Him, sorry to say, but it is far from reality, for to say that light and dark, or, dukh and sukh, are all Him, is incorrect, for these are pair of opposites, which is known as duality.
Sun can only give light not darkness. He also can only give light and sukh among other virtues, as He is the embodiment of infinite virtues.
It is we who may turn our back towards Him, thus have darkness and pain as our invitees due to our own manmukhta and agyanta, but absolutely not because of Him, for He is Har, the daatar of sarab sukh, countless millions of suns and moons put all together, would be but a pale and dim light in His comparison.
Maybe if you say, that in darkness and in pain, He can be with us, if we choose so, then it can be acceptable.
So let us stop making Him look as per our fancy distorted limited view.

This post was ahead of it's time. Everything is right. Kirpan is the Isht dev of Kshatriya, of Khalsa. It destroys all evil and temptations, worshipping kirpan alone brings mukti.

Kirpan (Sword) in Skhism - A Symbol of Benevolence and Dignity
by: Dr. Sawraj Singh, MD, FICS

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kirpan, which can be literally translated into sword, has a much deeper meaning in the Sikh religion. It consists of two words, Kirpa and Aan. The word Kirpa means benevolence and the word Aan means dignity. Therefore Kirpan is a symbol of benevolence and dignity.

Guru Gobind Singh made Kirpan as an integral part of the 5 k’s. The Kesh, meaning hair symbolizes devotion, asceticism, and renunciation. The hair is associated with spirituality in many other religions. But Guru Gobind Singh made Kangha (comb) also one of the five k’s, which symbolizes order and organization as well as purity and cleanliness. Karha the iron bangle around the wrist is the symbol of universality. Kachara the underwear is the symbol of piousness and sexual purity.

It is Kirpan, which imparts uniqueness to the Sikh religion. Guru Gobind Singh in the worship of Kirpan calls it a symbol of justice, equality and struggle against oppression and discrimination and exploitation. The Guru Hails Kirpan as the liberator and sustainer of mankind and the destroyer of the oppressors and the exploiters. He also sees Kirpan as a symbol of bravery and knowledge because it can dispel cowardice and ignorance. He sees celestial beauty in the shining Kirpan.

The Guru asks us to worship Kirpan as one of the aspects of God. As opposed to the Judeo Semitic concept of creation, which considers the creation as a separate act of God that created the universe in 6 days, from Monday to Saturday and then rested on Sunday, the Sikh religion sees the creation as an uninterrupted and constant act. The Sikh religion believes that the creation has 3 aspects symbolized by Barhama, Vishnu and Mahesh (Shiva). Barhama symbolizes creation, Vishnu symbols sustenance and Shiva symbolizes destruction. Destruction is an integral part of construction because without destroying the worn out old, room cannot be created for the emerging new.

The outlook and attitude of the Sikh religion to Kirpan is fundamentally different than the others who generally view sword as a symbol of power and domination. The sword can generate and encourage arrogance. Arrogance always leads to ignorance. Kirpan constantly reminds the Sikhs of the power of the Almighty. Therefore Kirpan should promote humility. As arrogance and ignorance like each other’s company similarly humility and knowledge go together.

It is very important in the contemporary world that we use our power as Kirpan and not as a sword. Whereas Kirpan was used by Guru Gobind Singh to liberate the oppressed people, the sword of the colonialists was used to enslave the other people and nations.

The judicious use of force can help us to change the outdated old world order, which has outlived its usefulness and has become redundant and irrelevant.

The only way peace and harmony can be kept in the world and prosperity maintained is by upholding principals of equality, fairness, justice, benevolence and showing respect for other peoples beliefs and values.

We can only suppress others temporarily until they are strong enough to fight against the oppressor. On the other hand benevolence, compassion, universal concern and universal well-being are principles which can lead to a lasting peace and progress. This is the global perspective of Guru Nanak. What we should understand is that Guru Gobind Singh raised Kirpan not only to uphold the principles of Guru Nanak but also to give a practical shape to those principles.
