Don’t try hard. It happens according to His Grace. Do it with love. Apply gurbani to your life during the day (Truthful living), and jaap at night. Have no expectations, relax and enjoy it. The path is endless. But He hears you.

Welcome. This is one of the best forums out there from what I’ve seen so you’re in a good place. You won’t always agree with everything everyone says but it’s good to discuss things sometimes. I would suggest reading the whole GGSJi or random pages and applying them to your life/ remembering them. Truth is overall so if you understand and apply, you can’t go wrong. The Gyan is the Guru, Guru is the Gyan.

How is everyone? I signed up to this last week and finally got accepted. I got back into Sikhi after a VERY long time and I realized I wasn't even into it really before. I was just born into it but didn't know much due to being young and just paying no attention to it. These last 3 or 4 months, I have learned so much and it is amazing googling questions and finding answers and discussions. I never thought I would voluntarily go to the Gurdwara sahib every chance I get to listen to the Katha and listen to the Sukhmani Sahib or Kirtan on the way to work, etc. I just wanted to say that I'm looking forward to being a part of the discussions and asking questions and maybe even answering them one day. Thank you all in advance.

I don’t claim to be of any avastha or spiritual stage. This path of bhagti is never ending. But it’s a path of Bhagti. Of Love. Not avasthas, who’s higher up, what’s higher up. There is no higher or lower. It’s only until you literally put your head on the floor and accept your self as shit as the Gurus themselves accepted themselves as lowly worms, that you start truly loving. I’m by no means perfect at all. I accept myself as shit. I’m just a sinner, we all are without Him. For without Truth, we live in ego,

I wondered around for years in fear etc. it actually took me ages to accept the Truth. I dont usually talk about this stuff because I don’t dwell on visions anymore and I don’t think anyone’s higher or lower for having them, that’s ego. I guess I started accepting everything’s Him when I started having visions, of the Gurus etc, lights, auras, all that stuff. I know a lot of people who have these so no big deal, and doesn’t make anyone great or worse as His creation is Equal, all an extension of Him.

I used to see his shakti, blue lights, everywhere, on and as everything etc, hence realising, it’s all just One, I saw and felt His prescence as Everything, everywhere on everyone in waking life. I knew it was Him as a wife knows their spouse. I first started having those experiences properly when I started doing naam simran at 4am, my third eye seemed to open and then there was no going back. Then the next few years, I started going deep into samadhi, and having experiences. Going deep into the sunn, I realised, it’s All just Him. I felt like my heart was opening to the universe and that it’s all just an extension of Him.
I understood that He has no form or image, that the world is a dream and an illusion, and the reality is Nothing, but a frequency, that can’t be described. His presence. I’ve gone through phases where I’ve had dreams of the Gurus guiding me almost every single night some weeks and too many darshans to count. I know other Sikhs who have had these too, and although I accepted the blessings, I’ve realised not to dwell on them as they’re guiding lights that help lead the way and also Reassurance that we’re on the right path.
I started understanding that the Dukh and the Sukh, the good and bad, angel, demons are all just Him. I started forgetting, but when I forgot, I’d bring myself to the present moment and remember that it’s All just Him. There is no image or form, the images are Him. I’d apply what I’d learned in my samadhi in real life. It’s just a frequency you vibrate at, like a knowledge you have that brings you to a level where you know it’s Him and can feel it. In reality, it’s just Love, my heart was open to Him. In the good and the bad. Any visions of demons Or ghosts I would have, I’d just start laughing and say God I know it’s just you, and go back to sleep or my business.

I actually realised Love of Truth, As in my heart had expanded to basically its zenith, when I’d pushed all of the visions I used to have constantly in waking life aside, accepted my life and work, and my time on this earth as my Karam for now, and also experienced a lot of Dukhi in life and in my work. One day when things were bad, My heart opened so much, I felt like it had burst, and I realised that all the bad eggs I’d met, the con artists, nindaks etc, and the messed up things that had happened as well as the happiness and the good, had opened my heart to realise that it’s all just Him, love, and that’s when I realised that the path isn’t rocket science, and by no means about where you’re at, for the path is Endless and the Truth discoveries Never End. Its just True Love, In good and bad, accepting this universe as One, that we are One. You can’t properly explain love, you have to feel it, and walking on the straight and narrow path, following gurbani/ being good, taking care of your mind, body, spirit, supporting your own life, naam simran etc is the way to do it. Love has no logic and you have to experience it yourself. He is not some unattainable level you can’t reach. He’s everywhere, He flows through us, and His love for us is Unconditional. He’s everyone and thing we see and all that we don’t. It’s an advanced psychology. He’s not simply accessible to some on the path and others less. That’s what the Gurus tried to tell us. Look around you and remember or apply  it. Gurbani tells us it many times. Talk to Him, ask Him for Guidance yourself.

Watched the show yesterday on Akaal channel and it was horrible listening to a father who's daughters were groomed. I think sikh awareness society is doing great as we need to raise awareness in society about all the wrong things happening within the Asian community.
Earlier,  I like their effort to aware sangat of wrong behaviour of a sikh granthi in America, who was touching a young teen girl inappropriately in her own house.
Horrible listening to these videos but it is the reality of kalyug.

Child sex abuse is also rampant among many politicians and the elite, it has been for decades. Many cases are covered up because of the apparent high societal standing of the perpetrators. Mentally ill people who should be brought to justice but go free. It’s bad.

Try this. Sit down, a kambal over your shoulders. Relax your body and listen to the ringing sound, which is Anhad Naad. Let go and let the samadhi take you. Have no expectations of what it should look like or feel, just let it take you.

The first step is to live in Nirboah and Nirvair. Recognize and naturally in sehaj accept that He’s everyone, everything, everywhere. There’s nothing He doesn’t power, He’s All pervading. So we Never Fear Anything or Anyone and become All Loving, for it’s All Him/ Truth.

This thread is more than just experiences. It is a more like a dairy that documents our journey to understand simran, the inner journey and what we are learning and experiencing along they way by a number of individuals. The posts contain subtle hints that may help someone in the future.
We might not have all the answers today but as I see in my own journey things I read 10+ years ago are presenting themselves again via different channels. There is some hidden truth out there which I don’t fully understand yet but I hope I am making slow progress in the right direction.

Sometimes. When your soul has been cleaned with the simran and applying gurbani to your life, You can start having a lot of these experiences. You’re shown how to navigate the khel, perhaps for a time when you’ll need to. A lot of people have this who don’t do bhagti aswell. Which is why spiritual experiences like these are not always indicative of progress. However there are experiences which show and reassure you that you’re on the right path and to keep going. Also messages are given in your dreams and experiences like these sometimes.

Blind faith, is the best type of faith. Then one doesn’t need these experiences. That’s when the real test begins. The astral and third world (earth) are projections, symbolic reflections of the Nothingness, where there is no color, form etc, the silence from which we are all derived.

Don’t get caught up with experiences for Truth is beyond image, form, color, gender, caste, the material etc.

Yes, you can only experience it, and it’s beyond logic. Hence we apply the gyan and learn as we move on the never ending path.

The thing is, that God gives us guidance in our dreams and waking life as visions, messages etc. So respect them. But I know a Brahmgyani who lived a few years in blind faith, and hasn’t fallen. Very rare as many of us use visions to believe and accept gyan. Blind faith is applying and practicing gurbani without the need for visions etc. It shows that true love isn’t dependent on anything, it’s just Love. You feel it, you don’t need to see it or be attached to an image for it.

Someone on here had a good point in that, were here to experience Life living in the 3rd energy.. the astral realm is there when we die. The lessons we learn here can be so profound. On earth, you can realise that the realms, this world, are false. It is a dream and an illusion. We live a story. You realise there is Only Truth, which existed before image and will continue to exist. This is partly how you come to realise Oneness of all things and beings. To accept in humility, that there’s only Truth. There’s only True Love. You live your story, but you’re not attached to the highs and lows, realising it all to just be Him/ Truth.

Agreed. Although God created us out of pure unconditional Love, to discover what He did in a fraction of the time. For He himself sat in the primal void for many ages in deep contemplation of Himself.

Truth is a Pure Unconditional Love.

Truthseeker, my explanation above is based entirely on Gurbani alone... not what some babas or "some" unnamed Gurmukh said. It is applying what is exactly being said in Gurbani, with some comparisons to science. I think I have explained how all are God and God is ALL successfully so you can understand. And also how God never takes birth or dies, but also how some of the 'characters' played by God in this dream can become fully awakened within the dream and essentially become "God conscious" (like the Gurus...but also others as Brahmgyanis have attained this). If you have any questions on specific concepts I mentioned above, I can try to explain further.

The Abrahamic concept does not fit in Sikhi because God is not something separate from Creation. Some of the explanations given by others on here seem to lean towards the Abrahamic concept where God is something separate and we are impure, dirty etc. and can never understand or become attuned to God. This is wrong thinking and perpetuates hoplessness and actually drives one away from the reason we are here. The whole point of Sikhi and this human life, is to awaken to our true identity and learn the underlying truth to reality which we are told unequivocally is within ourselves. We are told this human form is rare, and that by reaching here THIS IS OUR CHANCE HERE AND NOW, to realize God!!! Not some future promise in a distant future incarnation etc. HERE AND NOW. And that we should not waste this chance. By thinking we are too dirty too impure, etc we are telling ourselves we can never attain this goal... and so most never do. Instead, we should focus... ask ourselves every day what we can do to improve, do simran regularly, contemplate Gurbani FOR OURSELVES (and not just accept what some baba said) because this is OUR OWN chance, someone else can not do the work for us. We have to realize the truth on our own. Though we ARE given the tools... Gurbani is there for us to read and contemplate ourselves.

    I hope this makes sense??
