BhagatSingh got a reaction from Lucky in Gurus And Gods?
It don't get any clearer than this -
In Satyug, You enjoyed deceiving and liberating King Bali in the Vaman avtar.
In Treta, You loved being called King Ram, of the Raghu Dynasty.
In Dwapar, You, Krishan Murara, killed Kans and saved everyone.
You granted Kingship to Ugrasain and elevated your devotees.
In Kaliyug, You came as Guru Nanak Dev, Guru Angad Dev and Guru Amardas.
The rule of Guru Sahibs is unchanging, unmovable, by His very command.

Lol that map is intense.
Will be pretty difficult to read for newbies.

BhagatSingh got a reaction from Arsh1469 in 24 Forms Of A Formless God?
Well I'll give you the short answer first - if you read past the mool mantar, Guru Nanak says that everything is a form of God. You, me, the oceans, the trees, the specs of sand on the beach to the specs of light in the cosmos. What does this mean?
This is an inner experience people have where they see the "oneness" of everything, they see God radiating through everything including themselves as this One Being, Purakh.

BhagatSingh got a reaction from sukrit kaur in Deeper Insight Towards Meat Debate (Veggie Vs Non Veggie)
Our problems come from the fact that there are way too many of us. We destroy large habitats to make larges spaces for us to live. The largest destruction of land of animals and plants comes from us, through mere existence.
And there is no way to feed such a large population except through factory farming. Google some of these factory farm videos to see how horrible those conditions are.
Habitat destruction is a bigger issue. Controlling human population is the answer.

BhagatSingh got a reaction from SAadmin in Lock Myself In A Room
Nice. You are well on your way.
I would make one addition -
Make sure that you are doing simran during the moments you are falling asleep at night. Do simran during that transition from waking to sleeping. And then later during sleeping to waking stage.
These are crucial moments when our conscious mind is connected to the subconscious, meaning during the transitions of waking-sleeping and sleeping-waking, our mind goes deep into itself automatically. So if you have simran going on at this time, you can imagine the benefits of that. You are going deeper and implanting simran in the deep areas of your mind.
On Santpad-
Bhai Sahib is correct, in order to get to Santpad, one must build up Naam di kamai and do lots of Bhakti.
However, the problem will aiming for any kind of goals about spiritual states like Santpad or smaller goals like feeling "anand and chardi kala", is that it might create attachment and slow your progress. Your attachment to any spiritual goal can actually become an obstacle.
It's good to have goals but be attached to naam and not the goal.

BhagatSingh got a reaction from SAadmin in The Ringing Sound (Anhad Shabad; Sound Current)
Manvir that sounds like progress. Try to fixate dhyan more and more on the paath. Focus more and more until there is only paath in your mind and no other objects.
You may notice that those sounds you hear become continuous and may even become louder.

BhagatSingh got a reaction from sukrit kaur in Condolences To Bhagatsingh Veerji
Singh that's pretty much it I think.
My father's death was sudden and painless from what I saw. He appeared peaceful though he said he was struggling to speak (yes he was speaking and moving at one point. This was after his pulse disappeared).
Later when I was meditating outside the emergency room, the images I kept getting were unusual. It was my father, me and a bright light-being together. So I think he did go home at that point or earlier.

If by 'freefall' you mean, falling deeper and deeper into a concentrated state, into the darkness of the void. Then 'freefall' is spot on.
Good luck in your endeavour!
If you are looking for a bigger reply. I wrote this one a different thread a while back. It maybe useful.

BhagatSingh got a reaction from Lucky in Painting Guru Arjun Dev Ji - Work In Progress
For this one I am painting a concept, a feeling expressed in one of Guru Sahib's shabads.
You can listen to this shabad, I am listening to here. It's beautiful!

BhagatSingh got a reaction from SAadmin in Sketching Guru Harigobind Sahib Ji
Mostly I meditate and sing along with their shabads.
I also do a bunch of research and look at their puratan paintings.
Both help me connect to Guru Sahibs and helps me paint it more naturally.
Yea I could do that. It's one of the most iconic paintings of Guru Nanak. And it would be interesting to see it painted with more realism.
If you want to commission something like that, we could discuss that as well.

BhagatSingh got a reaction from SAadmin in Awesome Video- The Matrix Analogy Of Sikhi
Singh it's actually a pretty common analogy employed by many groups who are into meditation. The philosophy of world as illusion and there being a deeper ultimate reality isn't unique to our group.

ਭਉ is bhau is fear.
ਭਾਉ is bhaav is love.
The real questiom what do these words mean when applied to the formless, nothing, void!
Oankar - That a in the Onkar is bad transiliteration. Whoever started it did us no good. The ਅ isn't pronounced, it's simply a holder for the tippi, since they never put a tippi on ਓ and traditionally never used a bindi either. Instead they used ਓਅੰ to mean ਓਂ
And ਓ is two vowels Au and with the nasal sound, it translates to Aunkar/Aumkar or Onkar.
Which is a composite of three continuous sounds A'kar, U'kar, N'kar (kar = continuous)
These are the only three sounds you could make if you had no tongue and lips (try it...made you smile ). Since they come prior to tongue and lips so they are considered the most primal sounds. They come before any other sounds. Hence they are known as the earliest sound currents of creation in Indic philosophy.
The more you know...
You are close. ਸੋਰਾਰਾ might be slang for ਅਸਰਾਰ, which means continuous. I think it is written that way to rhyme with ਬਿਚਾਰਾ
Btw neither ਸੋਰਾਰਾ or ਅਸਰਾਰ show up in Guru Granth Sahib. Might be a modern word, which would hint at the date of this scripture.
I noticed how ਹੰ in ਸੋਹੰ is I, when continuous,ਕਾਰ, is ਹੰਕਾਰ, "continuous I" which leads to symptoms - selfishness, egotism and pride.
Also this by Guru Arjun Dev ji
Among names, Your Name, God, is the most respected. Among the wise, You are the Wisest. So I think what he is saying is. You are the Yog in Yogis, you are the Light of Enlightened. You are the Spiritual Perfection of the Siddhs, you are the Focused Concentration of the Noisy Reality. ਸੋਰਨ might be referring to ਸੋਰ ਤਤ is essence, truth, reality ਧਿਆਨ is meditation, concentration -

I am talking about the first book. I tried doing some random searches of certain phrases and they don't show up in Guru Granth Sahib.
I am using - srigranth.org
PS I see "Nanak Das Ranjit" in Scan10029.jpg

Solid advice. Posture and pose of the body can effect one's state of consciousness. And if one wants to develop a more alert state of consciousness then one should adopt a more alert posture.

BhagatSingh got a reaction from harsharan000 in 4 Ways To Improve Your Meditation
You make many good points Lucky. It seems like this is all to often forgotten. Or perhaps people focus on these things because they don't have the love yet. On some level they know this and so they try and try all kinds of methods and become stuck in the methods. No matter how much they work at it and sometimes they don't find it.
Whoever He blesses with His love gets it. Whoever He keeps separated, remains separated.
