Good video. I do believe there is room for understanding gurbani intellectually -certainly and there is room for gurbani discussion- certainly but ultimately..ultimately, gurbani is meant to be experienced in meditation than limiting gurbani to only conceptual understanding or conceptual discussion. As long as we don't loose that ultimate abidance in gurbani with our unconditioned consciousness in meditation so that gurbani can reveal itself much more freely, profoundly and as long as we are be open and receptive to constant revelation of gurbani in meditation then its all fine to discuss gurbani further or do vichar of it.

If by 'freefall' you mean, falling deeper and deeper into a concentrated state, into the darkness of the void. Then 'freefall' is spot on.

    Good luck in your endeavour!

If you are looking for a bigger reply. I wrote this one a different thread a while back. It maybe useful.

You see, truth be told, what is now known as India has always been a very prosperous place with a lot of talented people. All manner of people used to trade with or visit the place. There are accounts from Arabs, Chinese, and ancient Greeks for instance. The cultural influence was widespread too, I mean look at how Indic culture still influences art/religion in Thailand, Burma etc. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that the place was a target for loot.

I think one of the reasons our Gurus scrapped jaat paat like they did was because they FULLY recognised the outright failure of the varna system in providing protection for society, and so introduced the concept of an egalitarian meritocracy and volunteering for military action. You should also factor in the years of efforts by our Gurus to educationally and intellectually uplift the people. That is why, in the end, it was a mixed bunch of all jaats (and even races! remember the backgrounds of the panj piaray!) that succeeded in reversing the years of subjugation and loot and not any particular 'warrior caste' or as some modern phudhus would have it, farmers.

Dhan dhan Dasmesh pita; let us never forget how you created a society where all were valued and uplifted to achieve their highest potential as warrior-saints.

Just out of interest is hunting in accordance with Gurbani? This is only for my limited knowledge and regarding the beef thing I have read the following in Parchian Dasan Patshaia Ki:

'When the Guru adorned his high seat, a man suddenly appeared and cried, "Oh true emperor! I have become guilty of cow slaughter." The Guru instructed the attendant to conduct him nearer to him. On being asked the man repeated, "oh true emperor, I have become guilty of cow slaughter." "Don't be stupid, you appear to be under the influence of a Masand. That is why you are upset and lamenting thus. So what if a cow has died? Go home and relax. It is the Lord alone, and none else, who kills and revives," said the Guru.'

Mate. I don't think you've got a clue about what is going on in England.

The people who are supposed to be upholding the law - the politicians and police - seem pretty lax about it when it comes to things outside their own interests.

Have you not noticed the illegal wars and covering up of pedophilia and grooming? Some of which emanates from the very top echelons of the power/government here!

N30, some of us here love you to bits for your unparalleled, brave, open minded/hearted hosting of a forum. But brother seriously - can't you see how deep the corruption runs in some of our very own governments?

    And one response is:

Are people craving this physical reappearance as a crutch to avoid confronting the challenges we face as a community, themselves personally.

Personally I don't think Guru ji ever 'prophesised' such a physical return, but instead taught Sikhs that he would forever reside in the Khalsa, in an abstract, spiritual, mystical way. When people bravely uphold his values, he is manifest.

Problem (in my eyes) is that people seem to solely equate the physical aspects of 'Khalsaness' over all else. So you end up with pendu, corrupt fudus, without an iota of nobility about them claiming to be the apex of the modern day incarnation of the Khalsa, because they wear bana: like Badal and other sneaky, selfish fudus.

    ਭਉ is bhau is fear.
    ਭਾਉ is bhaav is love.

The real questiom what do these words mean when applied to the formless, nothing, void!

    ਓਅੰਕਾਰ ਓਅੰ
Oankar - That a in the Onkar is bad transiliteration. Whoever started it did us no good. The ਅ isn't pronounced, it's simply a holder for the tippi, since they never put a tippi on ਓ and traditionally never used a bindi either. Instead they used ਓਅੰ to mean ਓਂ

And ਓ is two vowels Au and with the nasal sound, it translates to Aunkar/Aumkar or Onkar.
Which is a composite of three continuous sounds A'kar, U'kar, N'kar (kar = continuous)

These are the only three sounds you could make if you had no tongue and lips (try it...made you smile ). Since they come prior to tongue and lips so they are considered the most primal sounds. They come before any other sounds. Hence they are known as the earliest sound currents of creation in Indic philosophy.
    The more you know...
You are close. ਸੋਰਾਰਾ might be slang for ਅਸਰਾਰ, which means continuous. I think it is written that way to rhyme with ਬਿਚਾਰਾ

Btw neither ਸੋਰਾਰਾ or ਅਸਰਾਰ show up in Guru Granth Sahib. Might be a modern word, which would hint at the date of this scripture.

I noticed how ਹੰ in ਸੋਹੰ is I, when continuous,ਕਾਰ, is ਹੰਕਾਰ, "continuous I" which leads to symptoms - selfishness, egotism and pride.

    Also this by Guru Arjun Dev ji ਨਾਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਤੇਰੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਮਾ ਗਿਆਨਨ ਮਹਿ ਗਿਆਨੀ ॥
Among names, Your Name, God, is the most respected. Among the wise, You are the Wisest. So I think what he is saying is. ਸਭ ਜੋਗਨ ਮੈ ਜੌਗ ਸਭ ਗਿਆਨਨ ਕੋ ਗਿਆਨ। You are the Yog in Yogis, you are the Light of Enlightened. ਸਭ ਸਿਧਨ ਕੋ ਸਿਧ ਹੈ ਤਤ ਸੋਰਨ ਕੋ ਧਿਆਨ। You are the Spiritual Perfection of the Siddhs, you are the Focused Concentration of the Noisy Reality. ਸੋਰਨ might be referring to ਸੋਰ ਤਤ is essence, truth, reality ਧਿਆਨ is meditation, concentration

Here are profound questions / riddles / self enquiry asked by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji to his Sikhs:

These questions below are meant to be explored, inquired, contemplated in Meditation..they may look very simple to our egoic mindset but it cannot be conceptually answered by conceptual mind but deeply inquired within during meditation- answer you will quickly get verbally like in form of thought or scholarly knowledge by conceptual mind/thoughts needs to be abandoned as mind will try to trick you by providing its own pre conditioned/ pre conceived notion/ conditioned response (it may be right answer but this isn't point..this is not mind exercise, point is answer needs to be felt by intuition out of our egoic conditioned mindset ). Any answer you will receive in meditation via spiritual divine insight is right way to start and from there you will notice growth in your bibek- clear understanding, pure perception which helps significantly in spiritual growth, deep spiritual inquiry and transcendence.
