Xylitol got a reaction from paapiman in Any Brahmgiani At Present?
It's hard to share the experience as they are very mustana, but can come out of their masti to speak normally if they wish. Their partaap was immense, I've had darshan of a lot of sants but their partaap pales in comparison to Baba ji's. He is mentioned in the DMROG series of books, apparently sant Naranjan Singh ji (one of the sants pictured in the sant samaj photo) stated that this current sant would lead the panth one day. Sevadars told me he is called President Saab b/c of his immense tap. My time with him was very short, but b/c of the feeling I had from his darshan, and the additional boost from the amazing DMROG books, it was not difficult to believe such things about him.

Xylitol got a reaction from sarabatam in What are your thoughts about Perfect Living Masters?
In the Sikh dharm there are many realised sants. However, in this dharm there role is more to help join you with the powerhouse of Gurbani b/c any living master, no matter how realized, will eventually leave their body while Guru Granth Sahib ji will remain.

Xylitol got a reaction from paapiman in Did humans actually evolve from apes (Darwin's theory of evolution) according to sikhism?
we did not evolve from apes.
also, not too long ago, scientists found a humanoid skeleton that was so old they concluded that humans cannot have evolved from apes, but instead evolved from other humanoid ancestors. you won't hear much about this b/c many scientists promoting evolution are nastiks and use it to attack christianity. they hold numerous aspects of it that re meant to be theoretical as if they are fact. not a very scientific approach.

Xylitol got a reaction from Jageera in The Ringing Sound (Anhad Shabad; Sound Current)
Does anybody know of any sants who go to this area? I don't.
Generally when you regularly go to the larger Sikh temples once in a while a sant will come to visit. You can then ask them for help. If I were in your shoes I wouldn't worry and just keep doing bhagti in the meantime.

Xylitol got a reaction from Shivānand Paris Howard in The Ringing Sound (Anhad Shabad; Sound Current)
I don't know what it is.
But I'll tell you the general principle for all meditation. Just keep focused on the meditation and let whatever sensations / experiences you have be. They will come, whatever is gonna happen will happen, and then they will go. I have found that the the body has energy channels which have blockages, these blockages become opened up *automatically* during meditation. During the process of them opening up, we experience sensations. But these sensations are not the goal of the path, but rather side effects of unblocking. Hence the instruction to stay focused on your meditation.
Generally, my feeling is if something happens that might be a health issue we should get it checked out. In kaljug most people don't have a great avastha so stuff that comes up is usually health related rather than spiritual advancement. BUT, keep in mind that sometimes disease is buried deep, and as our body gets cleaned out, we experience colds etc which is garbage coming out of the body. So it's actually a good thing.
Finally, if you still are unsure, go meet a sant. The internet cannot give you an accurate diagnosis but a sant who has a high avastha can probably help guide you further as needed. If you let us know which city you live near, we might be able to guide you to a sant.

Xylitol got a reaction from paapiman in When to Pronounce Dadda ਦ as Za ਜ਼ - How to Read Guru Granth Sahib (Part 3)
Just the DDT style. Punjabi University of Patiala models their Punjabi and their attempts to standardize Punjabi on Taksal's santhya b/c they feel that the Taksal has preserved the original language best.

All sorts of different sensations will be felt at different times as the body and mind become purified. Totally normal. Best to keep focus on naam and just enjoy.

Xylitol got a reaction from paapiman in Is Darwin's Theory of Evolution true?
There was always a theorized missing link between humans and apes. Well, not too long ago the remains of humanoids were found that were placed so far back in the evolutionary past that the current, updated theory of evolution is that humans evolved from other human species, not from apes. It usually takes a long time for popular science to catch up with actual scientific discovery so you might not hear about this

Xylitol got a reaction from paapiman in Meditation - My Experiance, Am I Allowed To Share?
Dear Kiran Kaur ji,
All those experiences are normal. They will go away by themselves when it is time for them to go away. Also, when you focus, try not to focus with too much pressure, just with a relaxed gaze. If the pressure happens by itself, it is ok. No need to worry about any of this. But please don't stop meditating.

Xylitol got a reaction from sarabatam in Is it allowed to stay unmarried?
Congrats on the decision and I appreciate the thoughtfulness in your question.
Bhenji, I guarantee you that it's no harder to get married as a Sikh than it is as anything else. There are loads of Sikhs, how do you think any of them got married?
It's generally easier on this path to get married b/c it leads to a more stable jeevan in this life, but celibacy is allowed as well if you choose.

Xylitol reacted to sikhni777 in ~To all Naam abhiaasi-meditation practitioners--share your most profound epiphany!~
I experienced a hug from God. I really needed a hug from the man of the house I.e. my husband to be specific. However he had made it clear that a hug will not just be a hug.. Some more will accompany it.
So this day, I was in a lonely but prayerful mood. Either I miss my prayer time or I miss the hug. I decided to forego the hug and settled down for prayer. That night I got my hug from invisible arms which I understand were of the almighty. I also understood that he has a spirit form.
I woke up feeling a bit sorry for God. Then I thought he has the whole world in his hands and he can get a body anytime he wants to. So anytime I come across the pangtis which talk about Guru ji getting a hug from God, I remember that experience and how God is there to provide support to his bhagats.
Funny enough I never paid any heed to those pangtis before. There are a number of them actually - now when I read them.

Xylitol got a reaction from sarabatam in kaam Lust
Bro it's difficult but you need to stay busy. Even if you have nothing to do do some seva, there's always dishes to be washed shoes to be cleaned at the Gurdwara!! That sadhsangat will help protect you. Try to stay in their energy more by going to Gurdwara more often. This is the biggest, easiest thing you can do. On top of that, I found salty or overly sweet foods cause increase in kaam, especially when eaten in the latter half of the day. Same with achar taken in later half of day. Coffee/tea are also stimulating. Eating from manmukh people, their negative thought energy in the food will influence you negatively. Don't leave lots of excess energy in the tank. Work out, go for a run or take martial arts. Burn up that excess energy in useful activity.

Xylitol got a reaction from Kaur Inder in new post on finalevolution? blog
there's several new posts on the finalevolution.blogspot.com blog:
I would like to share some gems I gained from Gyani Takhur Singh ji's Japji Sahib Viakhya.
I would like to share some gems I gained from Gyani Takhur Singh ji's Japji Sahib Viakhya. Unfortunately, at that time in my life my Punjabi skills were very limited so I could not extract as much information as I wished; ie, I missed a ton. Nevertheless, I'll share what I have and hopefully it will help. Note that I only wrote down points that are actionable. The actual katha itself is over 50 hours long in its totality.
• Jatt ? Tiag ? viaraag
• There is a big phall (reward) for reciting all of the Guru’s names in meditation. “Dhan Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Jiâ€â€¦. All the way to “Dhan Dhan Mata Sahib Kaur Jiâ€.
• Bani of the fourth and ninth Guru are filled with vairaag.
• When reciting Bani, try your best to pronounce it correctly. Pronounciation mistakes are huge, like missing zeros in a cheque.
• Recognize that we have no power to speak or be silent, sit or stand, laugh or cry etc. Waheguru is the True Doer.
• Just sitting in sangat is beneficial because it helps to fix our bad karms
• Before doing any big karm (deed), make karah prasaad.
• Bhagti is difficult, it is like going against the flow of the current.
• Try to see God’s will as easy and for our benefit.
• Keep Fear of God in mind, it will make it easier to stay away from bad karms.
• To stay in Agya (The Guru’s hukum) is a huge seva.
• We learn sweet speech, rehni (to stay in rehit), behni (how to sit ), and dhiraj (forbearance) from the sadh sangat.
• Imagine that Waheguru is in your hirda while you are doing simran
• When you hear Bani and simran, think of it as the Guru singing to you. See it as Dhur ki Bani.
• Remember that that the jeev atma (your soul) and Brahman are one and the same. The jeev’s saroop is the prakash that you see inside of you. Keep you dhian in this saroop as much as you can.

Not Sarbloh, just a regular mala, he picked up and japped something over. If you regularly use any mala it will raise it's vibrations and help focus your mind right when you pick it up.
If anyone has any issues with bhoot etc best thing is to go meet a sant and get some help. I can tell you from personal experience that our progress on this path is much slower on our own. If we do sangat with a mahapursh (and obey their bachans) our progress will be much faster.

Xylitol got a reaction from tva prasad in Meditation - My Experiance, Am I Allowed To Share?
Hello,
I've experienced that pressure that you speak of during meditation. It's a very nice feeling.
I recommend that you get a physical done checking your BP and cholesterol etc. Everything is probably fine but it's smart to rule possible health causes b/c you could have spiritual stuff happening at the same time as a health issue. If the tests come out fine, than just follow the general rule which is 'let whatever is happening happen, stay detached, and keep on keeping on with the simran'.

Xylitol got a reaction from Jageera in Wedding between Sikh bride and non-Sikh groom stopped by 'thugs' at London temple
Exactly, all are welcome. However, people are not welcome to try to change the dharam that the Guru ji's started, or the practices which they expected Sikhs to follow.
Nobody ever said "If your names not Singh your not coming in".

Xylitol reacted to Sat1176 in Is there difference between Simran and Jaap ?
Try this.
close your eyes and concentrate in front of your mouth as you jap out aloud. Use all your focus to listen to the source of the sound as it leaves your mouth. With practice you will find it more and more easy until suddenly your locked into the sound of your own voice. Then no matter what other sounds are happening around you, your ears focus only on the sound your voice. It pretty cool when it happens. It's the most effective japing jugti I have ever come across and I use it all the time.
