Gurfath Singh there are alot of banis at the end of the sri dasam granth from hazoor sahib that you do not get in the standardised version. Have a look on gurmatveecahr and listen to the extra portions such as the bhagouti astotar, sukhmani sansaharnama, brahm kavach, etc.

With regards to katha by nirmals on gurmatveechar, it varies. you have the whole bhrindra/mehta samparda, rara sahib samparda, harkhowalae samparda, also katha by sant sukha singh ji karnal walae, sant davinder singh ji shahbpur walae, sant dalel singh ji virakat and more to come soon

I'll have to check that file out again. i have the originals somewhere and will compare them but as far as i remember it was complete.

My plan is to get all the granths on there so that people can do most of the basics before they go off to learn the granths from an ustaad.

within the the next 24 hours the Gurbani Ucharan of the Hazoor Sahib Dasam Granth will be up to download. This granth includes the sansahar sukhmana, uggardanti, asfotak kabitt, malkouns di vaar, bhagouti astotar, brahm kavach and many more dasam banis.

This reply took me a lot of time and thought.

    Reading the views of all the people on this page stating that Guru Nanak Dev were not God brought great skeptacism to what i have been taught. I had thought that the sermons from Sant like;

Sant Ishar Singh Ji Rara Sahib, SAnt Gurbachan Singh Ji Bhindrawalae, Sant Kartar Singh Ji Bhindrawalae, Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindrawalae, Sant Mudhsudan Singh Ji Bedi, Sant Sarbjot Singh Ji Bedi, Sant Hari Singh Randhawae Walae, Sant Hardev Singh Ji Lulo Walae, Sant Amar Singh Ji Barundi Walae, Sant Nahar Singh Ji Sunheran Walae, Sant Jagjeet Singh Ji Harkhowalae, Sant Avtar Singh Ji Badni Kalan Walae, Sant Baljinder Singh Ji Rara Sahib Walae, Sant Partap Singh Ji Rara Sahib Walae, Sant Sukhchen Singh Ji Dharampur Walae, Sant Baljeet Singh Ji Dadu Walae, Sant Seva Singh Ji Rampur Khera Walae, Sant Jaswant Singh Ji Ludhiani Walae, etc

could not have been false, as these are the people who bring people to this path and educate them. But reading replies from the likes of NEO, Javanmard and Tsingh my faith in these sermons was shaken.

I almost got to the point where i actually believed what was being written in response to what i put towards this post.

However yesterday i got an opportunity to ask this question. In Leicester yesterday in my friends house i had the following three Sants to pose this question to while they were together. The Sants were, Sant Sukhchen Singh Ji Dharampur Walae, Sant Hari Singh Randhawae Wale, Sant Jaswant Singh Ji Ludhiana Wale.

When i asked them this question they were shocked that i would ever
pose such a concept that Guru Nanak Dev Ji were not God. I ended up being talked through this question

Baba Sukhchen Singh Ji started to explain about Guru Nanak Dev Ji. All three stated that GOD was Guru Nanak DEv Ji. Then i showed them this web page which shocked at the view expressed on here.

Baba Sukhchen Singh Ji went on to explain why Guru Nanak Dev Ji were God.

First of all they stated that the Bhatts have stated in their bani that the Guru's were of the same Jot and that started with Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Bhatts (bhatt Mathura) states that Guru Arjan Dev Ji were God. Other also calls the Guru's Nirankar and Narayan.

I then asked when Guru Nanak Dev Ji were talking about God why were they talking in the form of a second person. They replied that Guru Nanak Dev Ji were using the form seen by Mardana like we use a TV to spread a message. They were actually the formless God.

I then asked how could they be formless when they had a form. God is Nirankar.

Baba Ji went on to state a story of Guru Nanak Dev Ji when they went to Achal Sahib where the Sidh Gosht took place. The Sidhs asked Guru Nanak Dev Ji why they were called ' Nirankari Nanak' when they could see that they were not formless. Guru Nanak Dev Ji asked them to them take a scarfe and tie it around the waist of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Sidhs tried to do so but the scarf would just create a knot in itself and go through Guru Nanak Dev Ji. They found tha their form was actually like that of a supposed ghost where it was not of flesh.

I then asked why did Guru Nanak Dev Ji go back to heaven for three days. If they were God what was the need?

Baba Sukhchen Singh Ji replied God needed to go back home in order to collect what they needed in order to teach tthe world. Tehy went home to make sure all that was required was collected. Such as Gurbani and the mool and waheguru incantations.

    I then asked about the

Baba Sukhchen Singh Ji agreed with this quote and said that this is correct. The Lord doesn't take birth. Neither did the Guru's

According to Bhai Gurdas Di Varan it states,

Satgur Nanak Pargatiya, Mitti Dhund Jag Chanan Hoa

Guru Nanak Dev Ji along with the other Gurus did not take birth but manifested onto the earth. This can be backed up by the Gurbilas Patshahee 6. In which Baba Sukhchen Singh Ji state the Guru's played a trick on the earth. The mother would feel as if they were pregnant and their womb would fill with air. At the time of birth due to the pain they would lose cosciousness. When this happened the Guru's would manifest in their form and the womb would go back to its normal shape. The mother would then think they have given birth when it was a trick all along.

They said this stuff about the Avtars that Javanmard has put on the net is not correct or according to Gurmat. One should not use the semitic concepts when talking about Sikhi as their beliefs are different such as the talk of an afterlife or reincarnation.

All three Sants went on to convince me even more and the talk continued until my daughter got tired and wanted me to go home.

last but not least i quoted

The Sants said to state the truth it is worth going to hell. They said they have no fear of it.

Baba Sukhchen Singh Ji are going to do an audio recording for me in the next few days. I will put it onto Gurmatveechar when i have time so you can all listen to why Guru Nanak Dev Ji were God.

I am not bothered if you all call me a heratic or kick me off this discussion page

The quote from the charittar pakhyan on the opening page of www.sarbloh.info describes the reason why i have wrote this.

to the person whowrote this thread i conclude according to my understanding that God and Guru Nanak Dev Ji are one and the same. May faith has been restored in the words of the saints

Kam1825 got a reaction from GurjantGnostic in Was Guru Nanak God himself?
    continued from the last

Guru Gobind Singh Ji went on to explain the five qualities.

    1) Shakti – This means powers.

Sri Ram Chandar showed his powers to his mother Kashuliya. When his mother went to pray to the goddess at that point Sri Ram Chandar replaced the image of the goddess with himself to show her his powers.

Sri Krishna also showed his powers to his mother Devki. He pretended to eat some dirt so when she forced him to open his mouth and see what he had eaten he showed that he had the whole of creation in his mouth. She saw the complete universe. During the Mahabharat war Sri Krishna showed his disciple Arjan a divine form of himself called the Vairat Saroop (explained further on).

Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji were born in the village of Talwandi and at that moment they showed their mother Mata Tripta Ji and aunt their miracle. At the ambrosial hour all of the demi gods came to worship Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. They sat Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on a throne and started to worship them and bow to them. They rubbed sandalwood into the skin of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and placed a garland of flowers around their neck. They then made a supplication to Guru Nanak Dev Ji and said, “O protector of the meek and true king. You are the transcendent formless being. You have taken this form and come to the world in order to save the world and all of humanity. You are also the protector of all of the demi gods.†In this way the demi gods were making supplications to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. At that point Mata Tripta awoke and wondered who was around her son and revering him? At that point all of the demi gods disappeared. She saw that her son had marks of saffron and sandalwood all over him and on his forehead and the smell of the sandalwood was overwhelming. At that point Mata Tripta Ji gained full faith that Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was indeed the incarnation of the divine Lord. But at that moment in order to conceal the powers of Guru Nanak Dev Ji he covered his mothers mind in the veil of illusion, which is called Maya. Just as a child cries in order to get milk that is what Guru Nanak Dev Ji did, by doing so Mata Tripta Ji forgot what had just occurred and became attached to her child. For this reason they are no less then Sri Ram Chandar and Sri Krishna in the amount of power they possess.

They are greater however due to other miracles. Whilst being asleep a cobra provided Guru Nanak Dev Ji with shade. Another occasion the shade of a tree covered them with shade even though the shade was in a different direction to all the others. They replenished a field with its entire crop when cows had eaten all of the harvest. In Medina the grave of the Islamic prophet paid their salutations to Guru Nanak Dev Ji. In Mecca the Kabba turned in the direction that Guru Nanak Dev Ji faced their feet. It is still in the direction that Guru Nanak Dev Ji had their feet pointing. Guru Nanak Dev Ji made the soap nuts on a tree they were sitting under taste sweet and are still to this day and can be eaten. Guru Nanak Dev Ji took all of the powers away from the Sidhs and then later returned them. Guru Nanak Dev Ji imprinted their palm print in a rock that was being hurled at them. Guru Nanak Dev Ji parted rivers and mountains in order to gain access to the other side when travelling. Guru Nanak Dev Ji was able to walk on water as if it was land. Guru Nanak Dev Ji was able to show a person thousands of heavens and underworlds in a second. Guru Nanak Dev Ji was able to make a boiling cauldron turn cold in a second. These are but a few examples of how great Guru Nanak Dev Ji were and how their powers were superior.

The other incarnations used their powers to increase their popularity and greatness. Guru Nanak Dev Ji used their powers in order to make other people learn the correct path and believe in one God. They did not do it in order to make them more popular.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji showed their powers in order to save others and to destroy their ego. In order to destroy Vali Kandhari’s ego they took his water from him. They prevented Gorakh Nath from having the strength to pick up a piece of wheat to destroy their ego.

For these reasons Guru Nanak Dev Ji have an endless amount of powers. They have no powers less then any other incarnations but have more and are greater. They are the holders of great power.

Sri Krishna was the possessor of 16 powers but Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji had an infinite number of powers and was the incarnation of the divine Lord.

    2) Viaktee – This is the name for the form of a being.

The form of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is greater then that of all of the other incarnations. Throughout the whole life of Sri Ram Chandar’s life and Sri Krishna’s life they never grew any facial hair. During the youthful years of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life when they had no facial hair we can say that there form was equal to the other incarnations. Then a beautiful beard grew on the form of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji so that other saints would recognise them and their form became greater.

In the treta age when Sri Ram Chandar went to marry Sita they left Ayodhiya to go to Janakpur in order to meet her. All of the of the royal maidens were enchanted by the beauty of Sri Ram Chandar. Due to this Sri Ram Chandar told them that he would satisfy their needs in the Dwaper age.

In the Dwaper age the royal maidens assumed the form of the Gopis and Sri Krishna tended to their physical and sexual needs.

Due to the forms of both Sri Ram Chandar and Sri Krishna they caused lust with the opposite sex and could not eradicate this cardinal sin.

When Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji went to the area of Sangla Deep, which is now referred to as Sri Lanka all of the beautiful women tried to enchant Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji through the power of the word of God destroyed the lust that was in the heart of the beautiful women. By singing the gospel of the Lord and saying the name of God they were able to bring peace to the hearts of the beautiful women. They no longer lusted and by seeing the Guru they were forever in bliss and were at peace.

Due to being able to dispel the lust in others the form of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was greater then that of the other incarnations.

    3) Pragya – This is the name of a person’s knowledge of God and the name of God.

Sri Ram Chandar made Rishi Vashisht their spiritual master. They spent 68 days with them in which they learned the Vashisht Puran in order to gain the divine knowledge of God. He then spent 8 days with Rishi Vishwamitar who he adopted as his master in martial arts from who they learned the knowledge of weapons.

Sri Krishna made Rishi Darbasha their spiritual master. They spent 8 days with then in which they learned the scriptures in order to gain the divine knowledge of God. He then spent 64 days with Rishi Sandeepan who he adopted as his master in martial arts from who they learned the knowledge of weapons.

The father of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Baba Kaliyan Chand (Kalu Ji) took their son to the teacher Gopal Pandhay in order to study. They went on the first day in accordance to what his parents wanted and learned the alphabet. The second day they went they just remained silent. Even when Gopal Pandhay told him to read Guru Nanak Dev Ji ignored him. Gopal Pandhay then asked, “All of the other children are reading and learning. Why are you not doing the same?†Guru Nanak Dev Ji said, “ All these things that you are teaching can be erased. One should learn those things that stay with an individual.†The teacher thought to himself and said to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, “I am unable to teach this to you, I only know how to teach mathematics and basic language. With your grace please tell us of this knowledge you want to be taught.â€

Guru Nanak Dev Ji in answer to this sang the word of God. After hearing this divine hymn Gopal Pandhay was reassured about what Guru Ji wanted to hear and it was about the divine Lord. By giving this short discourse Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji exalted and delighted Gopal Pandhay.

On the third day when Baba Kaliyan Chand came to the school with Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, they asked Gopal Pandhay to teach their son.

Gopal Pandhay said, “ Your son is the creator of all of the knowledge. Do not worry about him learning. They are not here to learn but will teach others instead.â€

Due to this Baba Kaliyan Chand took Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Mulla Noor Deen in order to learn Farsi. Again on their first day Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji said a hymn, which was a divine message from God.

By doing this Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji taught the people they were supposed to learn from rather then gaining knowledge from their teachings. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave the Mulla divine knowledge and exalted them.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji never made any person their spiritual master. Rather the people they were sent to learn from became their disciples and accepted Guru Nanak Dev Ji as their spiritual master.

The other incarnations for a small number of days adopted spiritual masters in order to gain knowledge. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was unique in the way that they already had divine knowledge and never needed to learn from another.

Unlike the other incarnations Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji never had to learn the knowledge of weapons. They used the word of God as a metaphysical weapon to destroy the vices of other people. Due to the greater knowledge of the word of God and using it as a weapon Guru Nanak Dev Ji were greater then any other incarnation. Many philosophers and Sikh writers do suggest that they did have complete knowledge of weapons but never used them. They passed this knowledge onto one of their devotees by the name of Baba Buddha Ji to teach the Sikhs when they needed it. Baba Buddha Ji were later the teacher of marital arts to the sixth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Hargobind Ji.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji did not have less intelligence then that of the other incarnations but more. The intelligence that they possessed was infinite and greater then all others. No other incarnation even came close to the intelligence and knowledge possessed by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

    to be continued

Apologies, full review of the book by a genuine scholar below for those who want to read it

Review of the Mool Mantar commentary
In 2015 Kamalpreet Singh Pardeshi of Leicester published an English commentary of the Mool Mantar. There have already been written dozens of such commentaries. However, what makes this book so fascinating and unique is that it is based on the research and writings of Baba Gurbachan Singh Bhindranwale who was one of the greatest Sikh scholars of the 20th century. The book follows the traditional interpretations (sampradaya arth) of Sikhi which have been passed down orally through many centuries. While the ocean of traditional sampradayic wisdom is abundant in the Punjabi language, this book appears to be the first attempt of introducing the traditional interpretations in the English language solely targeting a western audience. This is what makes this book so spectacular and fascinating.
The book has an easy layout and is divided into several chapters. The first chapter sets the context and position of the Japji Sahib in the Sikh tradition. By drawing on sophisticated and difficult writings not easily available to Sikhs in the west - Nanak Prakash, Suraj Prakash, Gurmukh Prakash and the Rahitname - Kamalpreet Singh Pardeshi has shown how the Japji Sahib has always been an integral and foundational aspect of the Sikh tradition. Many passages of these aforementioned books have been translated to English for the first time in history, showing how many of the Gurus have successively praised the Japji Sahib and what benefits the devotee will gain from reciting the holy verses.
The second chapter is a discussion on how Guru Nanak and his revelation fits in with the wider Indic traditions of religion and what sets Guru Nanak apart from the earlier avatars and India religions of the past. The purpose of this chapter is to show the readers how Guru Nanak’s message is a continuation of earlier dharams while at the same time being distinct and independent. There are several quotations from the Puranas , Upanishads and Islam to enhance and enforce the message of Guru Nanak. The impression you get from reading this chapter is that Sikhi is not a faith that originated out of the blue in the 15th century. Rather, Sikhi is a majestic faith with roots going back several thousands of years to the early days of creation. Classifying Sikhi as an old religious tradition is a typical outlook in the samprdayic traditions, but it is the first time I have seen such depth in the English language. The chapter draws heavily on the sophisticated terminology of Vedanta while showing how these concepts are present in the Guru Granth Sahib.
On page 63 begins the Mool Mantar commentary itself. Each word of the Mool Mantar has been given several meanings drawing from the Sikh tradition and the many Sanskrit origins of the various words. Kamalpreet Singh Pardeshi shows how the Mool Mantar can be interpreted from its historical context but also from its linguistics. I was personally fascinated to see the depths of the Mool Mantar and how the different words add deeper perspectives to the Sikh faith, clearly showing how Sikhi is a universal faith welcoming people of all backgrouns and religious traditions. The chapter shows how on the one level the Mool Mantar can be engaged with purely within the Sikh tradition and from a purely meditative approach. On the other hand the chapter shows how the Mool Mantar fits perfectly into centuries old traditional Indic philosophy and the chapter gives a glimpse of how the Nirmala, Udasi and Taksali scholars of the past have been using, positioning and categorizing the mool mantar in their wider discussions with Brahmin priests and scholars all over India. This sophisticated level, I believe, is an aspect most Sikhs in the west have been deprived. In this chapters, Kamalpreet Singh Pardeshi has drawn from Guru Granth Sahib, the vaars of Bhai Gurdas and the Persian ghazals of Bhai Nand Lal Goya. Interestingly, the commentary also draws on the lesser studied Sarukhtavali Granth and Vichar Sagar which have been integral books of the traditional samprdaic curriculum. The Puranas, Vedas, Ramayan and Upanishads are also referenced throughout this chapter.
The book is not written as a dry and academic book you read once and then forget everything about. Rather, it has been written with the purpose of inspiring Sikh youth in the west to develop an interest for the traditional and esoteric interpretations of Sikh philosophy. The roman spelling of Gurmat philosophical terms have been kept (instead of merely translating them and keeping the original words out). I believe this has been done purposefully to widen the readers’ vocabulary as well as to inspire them to look deeper into these philosophical concepts by their own study. I am pretty sure Kamalpreet Singh will succeed in his mission of inspiring and widening the plurality of Sikh expression in the west, not only by his online activities, but also with the publication of books like this, of which this book is only amongst the first.
I am looking forward to future writings and translations of Kamalpreet Singh Pardeshi.
    Enjoy the reading!
