Certain people (liek certain Sufis and Tantriks) do get rid of th evil aspect of kaam through special sadhanas e.g. the view God as the most beautiful feminine form and direct all their desires to God. they control their kaam and progress spiritually at the same time. Pour lead into your ears so that you do not hear anything which leads to desire. Chop off your hands so you do not feel the touch of a woman by accident, and my friend you will have physically controlled Kaam, and died by lose of blood. The problem with the above method is simple, even after doing all that your mind may wonder and recall the desire of a woman. Now you cant get rid of your mind.. or can you?? Lol control your kaam (desires) do not destroy them unless you are willing to destroy yourself. If its lust you have a problem with (a type of desire -kaam but not kaam in its entirity) then look into yoga, or take the opposite end of the spectrum and in order to not be effected by lust become accustomed to it. lol just like having a cold shower it seems unberable when you first step in or think about it, but once your in there you can get used to it. Remember that Energy isn't biased...it is only pure energy, it is the thought that directs the pure energy towards sexuality. If lust in the form of thought you wish to destroy then the purification of the mind will remove it. There are many Sadhnas and techniques to tranform the thoughts into something positive. You see a beautifull woman walk across the room and she captures your interest. Desire is born in the form of Lust. Desire to touch her, talk to her, desire to be close to her. Then Fantasy is born. Then all hell breaks lose because you are lost in this fantasy and the desire has fuly taken the form of lust. Now a sexual tension is created between the 2. One of 2 things can be done at this point. you can either walk and get out of the room, which will only prolong the same situation from occuring again. but its an effective method temporarily. You have simply turned in the opposite direction OR you can sit there and observe the desire that is created. Face it. Don't turn away from it. Look at it in the eye and observe it for what it is. Don't repress it. Don't reject it. Don't accept it. Let it fade away. Look at the woman again, but with different eye, the eyes that Praise god for the beauty that he has created. Thank him for the wonderfull sight that he has given you, that you are able to experience this beauty. Let the mind take a new direction a new aim, tranform the same thoughts into the thought that how beautifull is the creator that created this beauty. If you can observe the beauty and let it take you into Vismaad, To posses that beauty you will only stain it with the ego. You will destroy that beauty. . A flower is there on a plant, simply observe the flower, praise it for its beauty, do not break it off in the effort to posses. To posses is to take part in ego. To posses the beauty of the woman will only feed the ego for it is Me, Me, Me, Me and the desire. Be keen and Aware of the thoughts and PRAY that you are able to see the true beauty in a non-possesive way. That you are able to remember the creator from his creation. Beauty is there to enjoy, not to posses. I will post something more later from a book that will further calirfy this point. You are correct but that cannot happen, because to remove the thought of kaam would nt make us weaker. To control Kaam is to preserve the energy the mind would use by the power of thought. Remember Sex is a part of the body, not the mind. Sexuality is the problems that is created by the mind in the form of thought. Kaam in the sense that if you look at a beautifull man or woman, no sexual thoughts are born, then kaam has been controlled in that moment. The energy that could be directed by the mind towards sexuality cannot make you weaker because no thought is behind the energy to direct it.
