So what was the need for dasmesh pita's decades of efforts to train and inspire Sikhs in a military sense then, if they were already ready?? Why all the bir rass bani, hunting etc. 
 
The charan amrit thing wasn't my statement btw, it was Rattan Singh Bhangu's. And I think you are wrong to think that Gurus never scrapped previous innovations and replaced them with new ones. Look at how the Masand system created by Gur Amar Das ji was totally scrapped, rejected and replaced.
 
What this all points at is man's continual need for guidance and adaptation and tendency for corruption. If a system of a Guru's was replaced by a later mohal, it doesn't point at any failings on Guru ji's part but rather the corrupted tendencies of the people who made up the system. It wasn't Guru Amar Das ji's fault that the masand system became corrupted and dysfunctional, it was the corrupt masands themselves. If charan amrit theoretically was having the effect that Bhangu mentions by dasmesh pita's time, it wasn't the Guru's fault but the people acting in the timid way. But Guru ji does what God sent them here for and adapts to raise up the people despite this.
 
It's like amrit today. The amount of physically cowardly, egotist, money/status obsessed amritdharis around today is no joke. But it isn't Guru ji's fault. It's those own people's and wider Sikh societies for tolerating such low standards.

Absolutely disgusting that gurdwaras in canada are being allowed to put poster of this street level mob terrorist in canadian gurdwaras, this is classic example of playing right in hands of GOI as these terrorist backdrop were raw regardless of them being aware or not... as i still maintain GOI raw spies-were backdrop in form of violent sikh individuals supporting these two individuals who were responsible for air india bombing by hiring these two fascist street level mob terrorist in garb of sikh bana- parmar and reyat ..it was agreed both by judge, defence and crown in canada that parmar was behind air india bombings.
Well done to our incompetent leaders by playing right in hands of GOI, its best interest for GOI that sikh gurdwaras glorify these murders so that our community looks like extremist..our sensible approach as community would have been isolated and nail these violent extremist/terrorist to the wall of shame, condemn their actions without any reservations, unequivocally. 
 

i would recommend you to use www.srigranth.org instead for searching and reading the Guru Granth Sahib. It's a wonderful site that provides you two different english translations and has a simple yet beautiful layout.

That's what people don't like to face up to. The Khande Amrit ceremony was the most overt attempt to level a disgustingly caste ridden society hinged on inequality. THAT is what differentiates us from other Indian movements. It's a shame that phudhoos today have totally negated that by bringing in jaat/paat/tribal gundh into Sikh social order.
 
Shame on them. And the number one culprit right now is the jatt phudhoo club that is the SGPC/Akali Dal. That's how far we've gone from our moorings.
 
On another angle: we've got phudhoos inside our community who are more concerned with trying to help with outsider issues (like Palestine, or the west's war on oil rich Arab lands), then trying to straighten out our own backwards society....

Piara Singh Padam in his book Rahitname says at page 35 that noRahetnma lists the five items or Kakars together. Still none of these items can be ignored. Anywhere else word Kakar is not found till after arrival of the Britsh. After the British disarmed and disbanded the Sikh army keeping arms was prohibited. Baba Ram Singh Namdhari was forced to advise his sikhs newly administered Khande Di Pahul in 1857 April to keep a Sota or thick bamboo staff instead of a Sri Sahib. Other Sikhs too resorted keeping atiny replica about two or three inches long in their turban. Ultimately in early 20th century after the Kirpan morcha British Govt. agreed only to allow a nine incches long 'Karad' that we now call a Kirpan. The actual Kirpan ordained by tenth Guru ji after Khande the Pahul was around two and a half feet minimum. So, except for a few Jathedar or Nihangs most Singhs are wearing including this writer the version of 'Kirpan' not specified by tenth Guru ji but by the British authorities.

The Sri Gur Sobha, a near contemponary source, disagrees with what you say. It clearly mentions Singhs under Guru Gobind Singh seized areas around Anandpur. I have read the same in some other old books too.
There are some people who like to find only spirituality in the Guru Granth Sahib but the various mentions to Begampura and Halemi Raaj should not be taken as mere states of mind, especially given the fact that Guru Arjan Dev were martyred for these revolutionary ideas (halemi raaj).

Tell you the truth I don't give a shit about Khalistan or a sikh state etc. It's not going to be more bhagti oriented if we have a place of our own. The gurus never cared for their own kingdoms. After the battle of bhagani guru Ji could have taken so much land and called it his own territory but he didn't. This notion like we deserve a homeland is bullshit. Even if we get a sikh state it will still be run by shitheads like badal or others like him. Until we be pure then there is no point of a sikh state. Once somebody become fully pure then a sikh state does not matter anymore cause they are one with god. The only sikh state is the one where god resides permanently and we have to strive for it. 
 
Also nobody (except for a few crazies)from the west would move to Khalistan cause they don't want to give up their luxuries such as shitting in a toilet instead of shitting in the ground or eating pizza and getting fat  or driving fast cars etc.

I would like to add that I do not beleive in Mohammad as a prophet or holy man. I was making that statement in jest but some think I was serious. I follow Guru JI when he says "Ram RaHIm Puran Quran...".

Guru Sahib pointed feet at their Kaaba, threw water in the opposite direction, mocked Jain sadhus in Bani and what not...

For one I don't believe how a holy man can have sexual relations with a little girl as quoted in their texts. Or have the followers gone astray ?
 
What I believe should be said is how Islam believes it is the duty of a Muslim to go and spread Islam to us non believers however their own pond is not clean. Killing and persecutions of non Muslims, rape of their women. I don't believe how god could instruct anyone to spread the name of their faith in that way.

Guru Ji asked for 5 heads and the Singhs rose to the occasion but in my opinion the 5 Singhs were already predetermined by the guru. The guru is anterjami so he knew which Singhs will come.

Sant Baba Waryam Singh Ji Ratwara Sahib Wale, in their Vaisakhi katha also say the same. There was no delay by any of the 5 piyare. As soon as Guru Ji made the call, they answered
