Gurfateh the easiest way to know if If we judge them in accordance to Gurbani. In the Sahaskriti Salok you get the salok, 'Mantran Ram Ram Naman' and then the other thing you have to look for is the virtues that are mentioned in the Sri Suraj Parkash. The parsang where Jahangir asks Sain Mian Mir what the characteristics of a Saint are and from the discourses betwwen Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji and his Sikhs along with Sri Guru hargobind Ji and his Sikhs on the qualities of a sain. Through these a person can jusdge if the person they meet in the street is a sant or not. Hope that helps?

And I think we have become so up-tight that whenever we hear or see images of devi-devta our anus contracts & we get hemorrhoids. We need to relax a bit.  I think we have become RSS-phobic.
Chandi Mata was a great warrior otherwise Guru Ji would not have mentioned her. There is nothing wrong if Singhs used her images on flags to inspire. Afterall, she was the goddess of war.

There is one group who believes that these enitities do exist in real life including shaheed singhs, devi, 33 crore devta, ghosts, pisach, 52 beer, 9 crore durga, etc etc.  I have heard & read enough anecdotes in my life to come to a conclusion that these entities can be real. Universe is bigger than we imagine. If something is mentioned in Gurbani, it probably did happen in actuality.
There is another group like Bhagat who focus on the deeper symbolically message. He is also right.
Choose whichever approach you like, end of all debates.

I believe that the Devi/devtas did exist. Do I worship them? No! But I do believe they existed.

I did try watching it. It is dark complex lots of politics/strategy/drama ,hits on taboo stuff . But for me a lot was going on and it seemed slow. Everyone has unique tastes.

That's the problem though isn't it. Evolutionarily speaking humans are much more likely to be self-serving than trying to help their partners in the above way. All manner of factors, life events and biology can effect behaviour day to day. Then, when you get discrepancies between how much one partner may be progressing over the other in this domain, it can cause more friction.
To me it seems that religious/spiritual pursuits themselves seem mostly to be some form of pakaand for the vast majority, where overt practices are more about social needs, tribalism, or a need to inflate your ego over others by being some sort of yoda master. You rarely see that cutting self-reflective, honesty and critique it should engender. That's what leads to growth in my opinion. Instead, people bring their own baggage or ambitions into the mix - and many of the people most vocal about their 'spiritual power' strangely also seem to be the least perceptive about themselves.

Men are also lustful.  This gives understanding of Charitars as well.
Guru Ji says "The lustful, lecherous man desires many women, and he never stops peeking into the homes of others.Day after day, he commits adultery again and again, and then he regrets his actions; he wastes away in misery and greed. ||3||"     Ang 672.

Who said that Satguru jee made a mistake?
IMHO, Baba jee was never against Raag Kirtan, as he was a Gurmukh Brahamgyani. He was the Sikh of Maharaaj. If he preferred non-raag style, it is his wish, He had the freedom to do so.
In the end - Love and devotion will matter, not which style of Kirtan, a person used to sing.

Sri Satguru jee does not need to engage in any sexual activity, in order to create children. They were the incarnation of the Almighty Waheguru, not mere humans like me. They can create and destroy in an instant.

Yea that bit about - withdrawing consciousness from the senses is easier than withdrawing consciousness from the ahankar. That's true.
However it is by no means "easy" to withdraw consciousness from the senses, it will be quite difficult to do for someone starting out.
But it is the first step in meditating.
There is a pauri by Guru Nanak Dev ji, where he describes the meditation process, the first step of which is - withdrawing your consciousness from your senses.
    First line of Pauri 38.
    ਜਤੁ ਪਾਹਾਰਾ ਧੀਰਜੁ ਸੁਨਿਆਰੁ ॥
ਜਤੁ - to withdraw consciousness from senses. This sets the the stage (workshop) in which you begin to meditate.
