Absolutely! 
The absolute/ eternal is Sat and his divine presence is Naam which can be felt/ heard/ held by gurmukhs' only. So 'naam' in simple terms is Anhad bani, dhun, naad- shabad Guru. 
When naam becomes pargat in a gurmukh, the First nishanee is - he starts getting Amrit ras/ har ras I  his mouth. The sweet nectar taste sat veerji has mentioned in his blog here. . There are many panktis in SGGS Ji which I canmention n will support my thinking-
Amrit Har ka naam hai
Amrit naam nirmolak heera... 
Har ki katha Anahad bani

I agree with you bhen ji as its 100% true what you have wrote. Its really hard now to find a Puran Mahapursh and kalyug has taken over.

Wats the Point. They are all pakke sangmarmar now... Does this mean that they didnt keep his bachan after he left... 
Same story of all those deras and sampradas... One holy man attains power. As soom as his soul departs properties stay and so does kaljug ke followers behind... No real true soul only rasam pagri and they all fight for the         " Throne"

Hanji @Soulfinder Satnam is one of the powerful mantra.. It's a Guru Mantra for Kabir panthis. Kabir ji used to japp Satnam. As per Nanaksar maryaada they call satnamji before entering anyone's room. - be it Guru Sahib ji's room when they bring Parshaada etc
It's an important part of our Mool Mantra as well. His Name is pious and powerful in any form, panth or language.

Pain and suffering are an integral part of a human life.. I have faced those times.too and so has many of us on the forum- eg our most respectful lucky Veer Ji here, who almost got a new life- gone through a major accident and coma .. but if they lead you to bhakti- make you realise the real meaning/ purpose of your existence what better daaru( medicine) can one get. 
All the best veere.. we all are on a journey against kaal,you aren't alone...

This whole game makes you laugh sometimes. I have found recently that some if the thoughts I get are pretty wild. Some have nothing to do with me and dont affect me directly but I still follow that thought and get myself into a state. Instead of focussing on the shabad and just listening to that, I follow the thought and get so tangled up in it wasting precious swaas.
After a day or two I realise that thought process was pointless but then a few days later I’ll do the exact same thing again!

Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh all
Today I heard an interesting episode of A princess  called Sughado who was a true jigyasu and wanted to meet 'waheguru' in her life.... But as I tried to find any info about her on the net there was none
If any of you have any information or itihaas on this please update here. I genuinely found it very interesting and believe that such episodes should be available to us all so that we can tell such sakhis to our kids and others.

Sorry for extremely late reply. Not been on here for some time.
people will tell you different, but in my experience and as per my own journey; you are better doing this once you can stay antarghat for long periods of times doing "mental -silent" simran and attempting rom-rom technique. Once rom rom is in full blow, ie. continues effortly from intital kickstart, then you should spend longer periods of doing "dhyian" (putting concentrated focus on shabad sounds).  
You will find that if done prematurely. then dhyian and focus won't remain constant and mind will just wonder more than usual.
IF just starting out, then only attempt after you can go antarghat and remain in steady state (equilibrium)" Sehaj".  Then you can go back and forth with saas saas and sitting in dhyian
