Update since started Gayatri Mantra earlier this summer
*NAAM SIMRAN chanting has gone really good.
*Found Sachi sadh sangat, mainly focusing on NAAM SIMRAN.
*I have never felt lighter and better
    * Previously I wanted to have friends but now I want to connect with WAHEGURU
I am reaping the rewards and carry on doing my nitnem prayers, GAYATRI MANTRA and NAAM SIMRAN.

Was listening to a bibi’s account the other day where she wanted to do simran in the early hours but kept on falling asleep. She said a voice resembling a mahapursh would come beside her and say in the sweetest voice “Na bibi jago, simran karo”

    Read all the above.
My understanding is medicine is just one aspect of treating mental illness.  You would need family support, surrounded by positive people, remove negative people and situations from your life, physical activity to improve physical and mental fitness, counselling and must do your homework with counselling, enhancement of spiritual journey and above all PRAYERS.
It does take years/decades to fight with your thoughts. These meds block the thoughts and do give side-effects.

I agree, it's not good. But a lot of people from India seem to cause problems with in-laws or leave their marriage quickly because they were not committed to start with
Paks are a lot worse than our people with 'honor killings' etc though.

I have spoken to many girls who came from back countries and everyone has a unique story. Most of the in laws here are bullies and they mistreat new family member from back country. One son-in-law has similar story, people have to suffer for their permanent residency.
To my surprise, children who are born here don’t see our side of the story.

Ambreen Fatima Sheikh, 38, can breathe unaided but has suffered 'irretrievable' brain damage that has left her with no consciousness of the world around her. The court heard the probable explanation for her condition was that she had unwillingly swallowed tablets prescribed to her diabetic mother-in-law that resulted in a hypoglycaemic attack. Such tablets are extremely dangerous if taken by non-diabetics and have been dubbed 'one pill killers' to small children. The prosecution case was that the tablets were not taken voluntarily and by then the socially isolated and vulnerable Ambreen had suffered a 'pattern of violence' behind the closed doors of the terraced house in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, she shared with her husband, parents-in-law and brother and sister-in-law.

I used to think same way. For some reason I used to listen katha and diwan of sant isher singh ji Rara sahib on a regular basis. Saadhu or SAint's Sangat inspired me to do meditation and one sukhmani sahib paath everyday. and I knew that if I am gonna keep on doing this (Waheguru Jaap meditation and Nitnem of Sukhmani Sahib) with clean heart and mind (trying winning over Kaam Krodh Lobh Moh Hankaar everyday), that day is not  far when waheguru will bless me with amrit di daat. and to my surprise it happened. Waheguru blessed me and my wife with amrit di daat. I am 31 now.

This is the only act of goodness in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, to sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe.
    Amrit is three types:
    1) Sanskar Amrit:  Khande di pahul ,Through Panj Pyare.  It was called Charan Amrit before from 1st Guru Sahib to 9th Guru Sahib. Kalgidhar Sache patshah changed it to Khande di pahul due to timely needs.
    2) Naam Amrit: Panj pyare five beloved gives us Waheguru Gurmantar. Following proper rehat and meditating on Waheguru Gurumantar, Naam Amrit comes, which is called Naam di Daat. Satgur Sikh ko Naam dhan dei. We need help here of Saints on how to do Naam Japna (called Jugti). The Gurmukhs who achieved this stage can guide us better.

    ਦੇਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਇਸ ਕਾ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮੁ ॥

Within the human body is its place of rest.
    3) Gyaan Amrit: Brahm gyaan amrit which leads to Mukti, happens when we keep on practicing the above Naam which emerges in your self.

Just keep doing Naam Simran and Nitnem ( fighting with Lust, Anger, Greed, Attachment, Ego everyday) and stay motivated. that day will come eventually.

I have no problem doing this for any serious seeker.
firstly, my life experience was unique it involved a lot of humiliating ego-shedding experiences, losing my mind billions of times etc. this was important because it allowed my mind to open up quicker.
I found Sikhi at age 20ish and I’m 28 now. I was born into a Sikh family but it just wasn’t discussed. I am not amritdhari, I cut my hair. I don’t think outer appearance has anything to do with Sikhi, as Sikhi is for the heart (naam) connection and getting you the heck out this matrix .

My higher self says that naam jap is the quickest and most surefire way to realize your higher self because it makes the mind focused on the higher reality. Its kind of like tricking the mind to focus on something greater than itself initially. There is power behind every mantra for sure but thats a whole discussion in itself.
furthermore, if you study Gurbani and not just do mindless paath recitation you’ll see quite clearly we are told the way to Waheguru consciousness is through “rememberance” or Simran of It. This leads to a connection with your True/higher self which is Waheguru. The higher self is simply a representation of you merged with Waheguru. You don’t lose your identity, you have a distinct identity but your identity is also just like the Ocean of goodness/bliss which we call Waheguru.
in order to reach this state one must do simran for sure but theres another step that is rarely talked about. You must 100% trust your intuition about everything in your life. This is your higher self nudging you in a certain direction in order for the naam connection to open up more. For example I was guided to leave a certain job, even though the pay was really good there was something off about it which I only realized after I left.
this is a very achievable state, it just takes 100% faith and trust in hearing your higher self.
you can talk to your Higher Self today if you’d like.
all you do is talk to it and listen for an answer.
For example, I channelled my higher self for this whole section, I dont have the wisdom to type all this .
you can ask for guidance on certain situations and get answers right away, it all depends on how much you trust in the unseen (Waheguru).

step by step: do Waheguru simran with an honest intent (for me it was to leave reincarnation cycle aka matrix/maya)
communicate with higher self on next steps
and then through gurkirpa as one poster said you’ll achieve a higher level of awareness
One thing you have to realize though is that it is infinite how much you can grow so once you start on this path just follow it all the way through with minimum complaints. We want to leave the matrix while alive (jivan mukti) and be happy and fulfilled in this life. Then because our spirit is too strong we wont be pulled into the light/tunnel after death, we have our own gravitational pull and we can even create our own world where there is no sickness/death/disease etc.

Kaur10 got a reaction from paapiman in Could we give Karah-Prasad to our pet ?
Apologies, could not find the right section to post this question!
My dog eats the usual pet food (non-veg) but very calm and good breed (bichon).  Sometimes when I am doing Naam simran sitting on the bed in the evening, she enters my room and sits on the floor quietly.  I cover her head and let her listen.
I always close my door when doing Nitnem and Naam Simran in the morning (on the floor).
On Sundays, I give her Karah-Prasad on a clean kitchen towel, thinking she would benefit from it.
Am I doing right or wrong? Someone who owns a pet would better understand what I am doing and why ?

Kaur10 reacted to sarabatam in Schizophrenia and Sikhi
Going back to topic- Schizophrenia and Sikhi, IMHO it comes down to - sarab rog ka aukhad naam. Schizophrenia is complex medical/super natural problem-telepathic voices/channeling spirits-  requires medication along with elements of Naam. Naam to disconnect the voices from head - one of many meditation technique- seeing yourself as sky of awareness voices beneath (easier said than done) or concentrating on navel chakra so voices are whisper not loud- (easier said than done) does require rigorous practice. I had a long episodes with voices last year where i can hear spirits voices 2 plus months (echkhart tolle describes it channeling if youtube it). Most of spirit voices are causing conflicts within family voices, gov't, politicans, some were good were both punjabi and english. I even heard female voices- australian. In my case, Voices occur to due to premature kundalini chakra awakening, i had limited understanding of it. Now days i do chanting vahiguru mantra as much possible i just abide in the heart- spiritual heart right side of chest, by passing all the chakra system. Chakra system is quite dangerous without master. Gyani thakur singh ji was mentioning some people have gone mental. These voices must be coming from somewhere- its mixture of spiritual pyshosis plus medical.
This illness is life altering and immense suffering here is CNN anderson cooper trying the simulation, its immense suffering. Hope no one goes through it.

Those who opened up, we are on the same boat, so hang in there. This site provides good support. Hopefully, more medic professionals can post their thoughts on this. I don't advise people getting off meds to be honest. I was told straight up by sant jagjit singh ji harkhowale to take my meds when i bought up telepathy.

I wrote more about it here:

There are so many stories on YOU TUBE like this person died in road accident and then born after couple of months or years remembering everything from past life.

Could it mean they finished their Churaasi in those couple of months or years?
