I dont want to jump to conclusions but sounds like you’re just trolling. Reason is because every post you come out with something new you are doing.
First it was porn, then webcam, then hookers, then death videos, then nail polish, liking men etc etc.
Its your life and upto you what you do but dont do it in Sikhi saroop. It is an honour to have Amrit and be in full saroop, dont take the piss out of it. Our father Guru Gobind Singh ji sacrificed everything for Sikh, dont drag it through the mud.
if you really need help then there is plenty available and focus on fixing yourself up. Once sorted then you can think about amrit and everything else.

I will probably be in the minority but I would take out the stupid culture stuff completely. All bhangra/dance etc gone. Lots of proper parchar about naam, shabad. Get the kids into it from the start, plenty of martial arts/physical training.
We dont become lions by shouting about it at the top of our voices drunk in a dance hall. Lions/warriors are created with the right training and right parchar from the beginning. Guru Gobind Singh ji did the same.
Problem with the culture stuff is, you say we can keep this because its harmless, thennit expands, before you know it, you have a big problem. You keep bhangra, then you mix alcohol with it. Then you get the singers singing stupid gangster crap that encourages guns and drugs, then before long you are where we are now in Punjab.

If we are going to go down the same route, may as well stay where we are, no need to create a new homeland.

Out of interest why do you think it would make any difference reciting a prayer when performing jhatka?

Jap naam veer. That is all the advice I can give. I used to work the doors years ago, my entire life was based around drink/drugs/women for a good few years. I lived on my own which meant there were zero restrictions. You can probably imagine where my mind was at all the time.
Then started on this path and all I can say is when you jap naam, everything starts to fall into place. Dont force anything, everything happens at its own pace. Just chant and take each day at a time. If you make a mistake, no problem, do an ardas to Waheguru, ask for forgiveness and carry on. Slowly but surely all these negative thoughts will stop. Naam is too powerful, nothing negative can stand in its way, it just takes time and effort on your part.
    Thats my experience anyway.

    All the best.

Just hope he is safe and well.

Similarly it is foolishness to seek spiritual knowledge from other gods and goddesses leaving the True Guru who is perfect manifestation of the Lord. No one else can impart this wisdom or knowledge. (474)

I agree that we should have some basic knowledge on who was who. Where I live in Punjab, we have a mandir directly opposite out house. About 100 yards down the road we have a Gurdwara. When my grandma was alive she would go to the mandir everyday hut not the Gurdwara. When I asked her why she would say that Mata is for everyone. Mata as in mata laxmi/durga etc. I was young and had very little knowledge but still argued that there was a huge difference between our Gurus and the Hindu demigods. However maybe due to blind faith and or lack of knowledge, she never believed that and neither did any of the others Sikhs that went to the mandir daily.
Even now if you ask many Sikhs, they will say Shiv, Vishhnu and Brahma are the form of God when clearly they are not.

I have always believed our history gives us the answers to all our questions. If sants/sadhus were to solve all issues with their powers, it would go against everything our gurus taught us. Guru Gobind Singh ji did not save his own sons because he said what was happening was the hukam of akal purakh. We read stories of the Ramayan and Mahabharat where warriors were able to vanquish thousands of others in a matter of minutes with their powers. Guru Gobind Singh came here as satguru, if he wanted he could have destroyed the moghuls and anyone else within a blink of an eye by himself. Now to know what the hukam is, gurbani emphasises merging with the shabad so you can find out yourself how to live within his hukam.
I also agree that we need to look at ourselves first and see what are we doing for the panth before pointing fingers at others. Maharaj has gives us everything, why cant we train, learn martial arts and do what puratan Sikhs did? We hear stories of Baba Deep Singh carrying his head on one hand and fighting with the other at 75 year old. Ever thought how he was able to do this? We are able to do these things ourselves if we had the same love for Sikhi.
Ive always had respect for Sant Jarnail Singh and what he did but when I hear people saying he needs to come back for the kaum, I think to myself, but what is wrong with us? Why cant we carry the fight and do something ourselves instead of pointing fingers at others or wishing other Singhs could come back from the dead?

This whole game makes you laugh sometimes. I have found recently that some if the thoughts I get are pretty wild. Some have nothing to do with me and dont affect me directly but I still follow that thought and get myself into a state. Instead of focussing on the shabad and just listening to that, I follow the thought and get so tangled up in it wasting precious swaas.
After a day or two I realise that thought process was pointless but then a few days later I’ll do the exact same thing again!

Simran is going quite well. Problem i am having at the moment is thinking too much about stuff that has happened in the past. The thoughts just automatically creep into my mind, like kaal knows this is what will piss me off so lets five him that thought.

I listen a lot to Simranjit Singh Tohana and Bhai Ajit Singh at GMGG Slough. They say you just need to focus on listening to the anhad shabad and divert away from your thoughts. Sometimes i just find it really really hard though and get myself into a bit of a state.
Just need to keep doing ardas to Waheguru to help me I guess
