das got a reaction from sarabatam in Three types of Budhis
The 3 types of bhuds mentioned here are given as examples. There are not name centric, they are based off the examples. Please read below for more information.
Sants/Mahapurashs always give examples so that a common man can understand.
Namda (Thick bhud): If a needle is inserted into a cotton ball (namda) then a hole will be created but as soon as the needle is taken out, the hole will be gone. In other words, people who come to Spiritual discourses and during that time their Mind will have the effect but as soon as they leave the Spiritual discourse, they will revert back to their previous deeds forgetting what was taught to them in the Spiritual discourse. But they are still better than who never came to Spiritual discourses. They are just starters on Spiritual path. It could be understood as the "Dull headed". Chamra (Leather bhud): If a needle is inserted into leather (chamra), then a hole will be created and when the needle is taken out, the hole will still be present but it won't increase in size. In other words, people who come to Spiritual discourses and then they just do what was taught to them in the discourse but they do NOT take it further. It could be understood as "Intelligent". Talika (Oil): If a drop of oil (tail) is thrown on the water, then that one drop will spread out on the very large area of water. In other words, people who attend Spiritual discourse and then that Spiritual discourse acts as a starter for them and they start on the Spiritual path; just like the oil drop spread on the water. It could be understood as "Extra Intelligent". Sants/Mahapurash also present the above mentioned Bhuds/Bhagats/Adekare/Jegasu in many different ways:
Kanist (Beginners) : Who is leaving bad karmas and moving into good karams. Madham (Medium): Who has moved further in Spiritual state and does Upasna/worship of God. Utam (Top level): Whose mind is one-pointed and only avaran dosh is left. Or
Stone bhudi: If stone is put into water, then it would be wet when it is imersed in water. If it is pulled out of water and placed in sun, then it would become dry soon. First type of bhud. Sponge bhudi: If sponge/foam is imersed in water and then taken out. Then this sponge will retain the water for much longer than the stone but eventually it will become dry in sun. Gur bhudi: If Gur/Jaggery/Suger is imersed in water, then after some time it will be dissolved in water and then no-longer it could be separated from the water. This is 3rd kind of bhud. Basically all the above mentioned examples represent the same concept of 3 different types of Spiritual people.
Similarly according to three types of bhuds, there are also 3 kinds of Bachan in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. In other words, all 3 types of people would find the bachans as per their state:
Bhanak: For those (Namda bhud) who don't know about the reason for human birth and do bad deeds. Bhanak Bani instructs them to some to humanity. Roahak : For those (Chama bhud) who did path/worship, but still their mind does not become one-pointed. Rochak Bani defines the powers of Naam Simran, profits of doing Bhagati in order to uplift their curiosity. Yathrath: For those (Talika bhud) whose mind has become one-pointed. Yathrath Bani breaks the avaran dosh. i.e Yathrath Bani is the Brahmgyan but it could be perceived correctly only by Talika bhud people.

Here is mine experiences: There are total of 2 experiences which I remember.

First: I saw myself floating in my bedroom; at that point I understand that I can now fly. I became super exicited and immediately started flying from one corner of room to another corner, then to roof. I was very happy and was wondering how fast I could go from one point to another. Then before I started thinking about going outside, I was pulled back into the body.

Second: This I remember vagely, while sleeping (in USA) I travelled to one Gurdwara Sahib in one village in India. I don't remember how I travelled but I was instantaneously transferred to that Gurdwara in India. There was a pond near the Gurdwara premises. I sat under a tree with my Spiritual guide. We had some discussion but I don't remember that. Next day, I told my experiences to my Spiritual Guide/Guardian/Angel/what-ever you call him and it was confirmed that we had a little chat that night in India but unfortunately I did not remember any discussion; I just remembered the place and discussing something.

After that it never happened again, but now after reading some members post, my interest is arising again.

First of all, thanks everyone for your valued options/suggestions/recommendations/links. I really appreciate it.
I just want to clarify certain things as follows:
In our family we do path regularly and the children also do the same. We also tell them good qualities, Spiritual principles, how-to-differentiate between good-vs-bad. This part is being done to the extent we are capable off. But the real issue is that kids do spend most of their time in school, TV, Cartons etc......even though we've limited the screen time, but you know they always think about the things from which they have been warned (basic nature of humans). So, we cannot just NO to TV, cartoons, school; I tried that but that increases the real issue........Monkey Mind. So, the next best option is to teach them in a way they can understand via the interactive sessions with books, Tv, cartoons.
But eventually, all this doesn't matter because at the end of the day, children do subconsciously follow their habits (from previous birth's karma).......sometimes good seed does germinate quickly if proper environment (including parents) are provided and sometimes not. Souls chose the parents before the birth (if given a chance) so that it's more easier for them to progress based upon their current quota of karma. So, the bottom line is: it is all about the karma but we can't just ignore our responsibilities (even though they are also part of the game).......free-will is also an illusion.
Free-will is a delusion as long as one is a slave to the ego's fears and desires. It can be exercised only when one is aware and unattached to desires, and the dualities of life, and has no ego. By cultivating non-attachment one sees beyond liking and disliking, success and failure, loss and gain, pleasure and pain, to the Truth of things. There are very rare who actually does have really free-will (or say no-will or say the will of God); we all are just dancing to the tune of Maya. There is only one way to out: Grace.........even Grace is of 4 types: Grace-Of-God: We already have that as we've the chance (human-body); Grace-of-Scriptures: it is also there; Grace-of-Guru: it comes when the seeker has made the maximum effort and have exhausted; Grace-of-One-self: It is the grace that we have to do on ourselves (as BhagatSIngh as mentioned)....it is having the will to undertake a purposeful journey in life, to do the spiritual work of life, and to prepare oneself.
Now, see how these days I've become a Fake Brahmin/Sant/Scholar..........who has learnt the techniques but saala apne te experiment nahi karda. I should remember that: A tiny bit of knowledge is required for Salvation (i.e I'm separated and I'm that).................but there is no point to attain all kinds of knowledge because all knowledge is incomplete without HIM. pata nahi ke likh reha haan, chalo dil to pagal hai!

They say Birth to seven years age, a child is running under the subconscious part of her or his mind. So I would say fill it up with good stuff. The other thing I read was that if a father goes to Church or temple there are higher chances that children will follow him. Mothers are great teachers but dad can have a huge impact too.  I spent first year of my life with my biji( nani ji) she's a religious lady and I think it was those few months that at the age of 19, my interest in spirituality and religion woke up, since there is no spiritual bone in my dad's side family.  Don't depend on parcharak to teach your kids the Value of being loving, kind, caring. You got this, we have faith in you . I read bhagat pooran singh ji's jeevani and watch how his mother taught him. One example was she told him to find stones from street and put it away so nobody gets hurt.

I agree. Children are so receptive to energy, and the energy in the household in general is very important in molding kids to be spiritually inclined. Ive noticed with my niece, she actually enjoys doing things like sitting with me when im doing paath, and she is more focused then me at times.. She is also quick to grab my tally counter and do her vaheguru jaap..lol. I feel children in general are already spiritual at a young age, they just loose it when their focus goes on tv and now ipads..lol
When the child is in the womb she/he remembers everything and is in 'connection' with nirankar, the older one gets the more difficult it becomes to guide them in terms of your input as connection becomes weaker.
@das.. Even if your pehra is not so strong as back in the day, just by playing gurbani in the house continuously changes the aura/energy in the house and this energy of gurbani is what your kids will be accustomed to. So growing up they will want to be connected to this energy as they are familiar to it.
I remember my mum and nani would always tell me to do certain path when i was younger but  i was more interested in going out with my mates, now i do exactly what they were telling me to do back in the day..lol. so i guess try your best and leave it up to maharaj...Good luck.

Well that's the most important thing. This is more important than "external material for kids" or parcharaks. You are the father! You need to be the role model, do the bhagti yourself and spend time with them, and project your spiritual energy and awareness out and into them.
I'll give two examples, one of my dad and one of myself.
    1. My dad did a lot of bhagti and he taught it to me. He would sit down and teach me how to meditate, how to read a gutka, how to do pooja, how to visit the gurudwara, and so on. And he did it himself all the time. Having that kind of presence had a huge effect on me, and it is the most important for a child. Its set the base for even when the child goes off-track, like I did.
The father teaches the child how to be virtuous.

    2. Now for the second example. While I was staying in India with my sister, I was meditating as much as possible. One day I was playing with my 2yr old nephew and we went to the gurudwara right after. So he wants to sit with mamaji, I began quietly meditating with him sitting in my lap the whole time. Some time passed after we returned, and he started playing. In his playing, he began to say the mantra that I was meditating on, all to my surprise. This mantra was known only to me, no one else.
What you do now will energetically effect your children later.

I was trying to find out the Spiritual material (with photos, cartoons etc) in order to teach my growing kids some basic things: Love, Sharing etc...... but was unsatisfied in regards to the unavailability of this kind of material in Sikhism. Our parcharaks are doing nothing in this regard. We ourselves are also hopeless, we waste so much time in arguring about what we think is right interpretation of a religious concept. I feel that we're The assholes, good for nothing......anyways, but I was happy to find that there are lot of educational material in Buddhism (created by educated and level minded people). So, just want to share if anyone is interested:

We should also create some material NOT to show how we survived in history and sacrifices....but also the concepts of a beautiful Sikhism. Sometimes, I feel that I'm in the wrong place where everyone is after the money race (be it because of family or for oneself), but then realize that I'm also part of this world and if I want to come out, then do the hard work and the Grace will follow. But you know sala maan kurta ha!

I'm not supposed to enter this thread but I saw how dally posted in it I will only post once as well.

Satkiran for two years you have been asking these same questions over and over. In these two years you could have progressed in your bhagti but did you? No you didn't. You kept on making these trivial threads over and over again. Did it not once occur to you that if you did bhagti the answers would have come to you on their own? That Akaal purkh may have given you the answers? Now your asking Amardeep questions and he is responding but in the end you will not be satisfied because there will still be a doubt in your mind. Amardeep is giving answers which is good and all but what if his answers are wrong(hey Amardeep I'm not saying your right or wrong. I'm just giving an example)? For he too is a man and men make mistakes! That doubt will always be with you. There are people who won't ever conform to your ideology such as paapiman and many others because they are in their ways and you cannot accept the fact that they follow something you don't preach. Then ultimately you will keep on wondering why do they still believe in what they believe in. Maybe they could be right? You show them Amardeep's answers but nobody will actually pay them any heed except people who have your ideology. Then after you will try finding answers to justify your position again and again but the outcome will be the same in the end. You will still have doubts.
I will give you one answer that will lead you to all answers. It will only work if you actually do it.
Stop wasting time discussing trivial matter such as these and start doing bhagti. Stop wasting time on here and do bhagti and the guru will give you answers. That is the only way you can be without doubt.

PS: Don't respond back to this post.

This is the prime example from which Sikh preachers should learn......you seems to be intellectual oriented, even from your perpective we should be ashamed of ourselves that even Ram raheem is able to understand how to attract crowds, but we dumbasses have not understood........Basically, your example of Ram raheem has again verified the fact that in order to convert (or say retain Sikhi) the preachers must preach the philophosy of Sikhism (equality for all) and not the same argument....we're decreasing, so let's do something.
Let me give you a very practical example: Let's imagine that someone is Non-Sikh but willing to learn something about God (not dogmatic religion) and searched couple of youtube videos and opened the first link of a top katakar of Sikh and boom after listening to the first 10 minutes, he skips the video because kathakar is just complaining about the minority issues and then boosting of history and eventually asking to take the Amrit.......what do you think; will the seeker come back to Sikh videos.....I guess Not...............on the other hand, he opened a link where a person was explaining the Philosophy of God....hmm, he will stay to listen the whole video.......and later on he might be insterested in becoming part of the group/religion of the preacher..........bottom line is: to put in your terms.....Marketing the religion.
Try to understand the timings in real sense........you cannot convert because you were brave and fought against the evil forces, you cannot convert without the Philosophy......The defination of Religion is the Rules around the Philosophy and not the other way around.
See around you today's Radha-soamis, Ram raheems, Muslims and many others are successful only because they understand the working of mind and understand that people like philosophy, stories, and promises. Get the real handle on the situation and not just the talk.
Regarding Politics, modern Sikhs are far behind that not because they are less in number, its because they don't understand how to play politics. Politics are played and its a kala/skill. Learn that skill first.

I think you are living in your own little world. People have told you over and over again not to put things in their mouths. You connect things that are not connected and then use that as an argument against people. I think its called a straw man in english. You build up a narrative in your own head and then argue with people about why they feel a certain way. But they actually dont feel that way!

When people here have respect for samprdayas it is NOT because of the way they view women.. thats YOUR take on it because you seem to center your life on feminism.. So if I tell you im into the samprdayas, then you will find something you dont agree with and make a fuss and drama about me being into the samprdayas due to this one female statement only!! Its bloody weird man and you need to stop it!  People here respect the samprdayas because they reflect a pre-colonial disposition of Sikhi with a heavy regard on oral tradition...... NOBODY HAS MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT WOMEN!! yet you keep hammering on and on and on about them....The puratan samprdayas dont even follow the old rahitname, - they have their own oral traditions which they follow.
Like I said, - you dont understand what people are writing, nor do they understand what you are writing.. bloody kinder garden man!! When people showed you the tuks of Sri Guru Amar Das on women, they did'n mean to say that The Satguru talks ill of women.. They were saying "if you use this kind of arguments against Sri Dasam Granth then why dont you apply the same logic to the Guru Granth Sahib".. Its a way of showing how illogical you are.. Yet you read it as the guys saying Guru Amar Das looked down on women...
And now you're making connections between Rahitanme and Dasam Granth....SERIOSLY??? wtf???? The rehitname for the most part are 2-3 pages long... The Dasam Granth is 1300+ pages long... Stop making weird analogies... I dont know if you have some sort of OCD or something but if you do, please let us know... This is getting really tiring.. Everyone here is tired of having to explain themselves over and over again as well as having to defend themselves of weird allegations you keep making, -putting words in their mouths etc....

Pappiman says weird shit at times, - all of us laugh at it from time to time and consider those views as representing only himself.. Yet you take it and blow it out of proportions and make it sound like pappiman is the sole global ambassador of SIkhi - everything he says is true and law!
    Give it a rest man..

This is from bachans of  of Baba Ishar Singh Ji kaleran wale. Baba Ji was loving & dear to all communities & faiths , 1940s-1960s.  One time Baba JI was invited by communists/atheists to do a diwan. By the end of diwan, thousands of non-believers/atheists/communists became believers & raised their hands & promised to do nitnem & take amrit.
Baba Ji was given dargahi duty to do parchar, he had power, thats why his bachans worked. If you ever listen to his tapes carefully, you will notice that Baba Ji often solved the questions of devotees through clairvoyance. Baba ji displayed partakh shakti in diwans, all under the hukam of Guru Nanak.  He did a lot of amrit sanchar (7.5 lakh) in a short period of time, before he was called back to Dargah.
The need of the hour is that we need Mahapurukhs straight from Dargah.  And God will do that, once he see its necessary like he did during 1930s when so many mahapurakhs appeared, as mentioned by das.
And yes a lot depends on the kamai & jeevan of Parcharak.

Exactly that's the dilemma.....read my today's original message (It is very hard to come to a concrete conclusion about this because everything is Changing continuously (the only truth is the Change and God). Some rules are mandatory to protect the philosophy but at the same time, the rules always try to become the philosophy because of the continuous corruption by Maya.), we need to find the balance which would be impossible unless we raise ourselves Spiritually.
Religion/Rules are needed so that the core Philosophy is not lost, but at the same time the rules should not become the religion itself and all the stress is on rules. It needs to be balanced because it is Maya's.
As per Guru Gobind Singh Ji (in Bachitar Natak): a religion spreads only if HIS/WAHEGURU's support is present. It (religion) does not spread because of our own hardwork. But it doesn't mean that we need to stop the hard-work to spread it, but do it with proper mindset.

Alsi alone is hot taseer, so keep in mind that it might ruin your overall health if you don't know how to use it. Secondly, Mirena is controversial and is potentially very risky (releasing hormones in uterus).....risky in the sense that you're willing to take the risk because you just want to remove the pain....I'm not saying pain is okay.
Moreover, sometimes it makes sense to visit the doctor, but in this particular case, it is a known fact what doctors are going to suggest (birth pills, Mierna, and some other things along the same lines). In general, it's better to educate oneself and avoid visiting doctors at every sneeze but sometime it is worth.
There are other ways around. Here are couple of things that might help you are as follows:
    Formula for Women (any issue)
    Ingredients:
    250 grams - Jira (Cumin Seed) [V-P+K-]
    200 grams - Saunf (Fennel Seeds) [V-P-K-]
     50 grams - Ajwain (Carom seeds/Bishop's weed) [V-P+K-]
30 grams - Kala Noon [Sanchal Lavana] (Black Salt) [V-P+K*]
     10 grams - Hing (Asfoetida) [V-P+K-]
Purchase all of the above mentioned ingredients in whole form (no pre-packed powders) Grind all the above mentioned things but SEPERATELY. This is very important. Then after grinding all of them seperately, mix them in the said ratio and store the formula in some container/jar. The total weight would be 540 grams. Now, prepare 60 packs from the mixed powder so that each packet is 9 grams. Or simply take 9 grams everytime as defined below. One dose is 9 grams and one needs to take 4 doses everyday. In one glass of water, pour 9 grams of powder and mix it througly and let it STAND for one hour. After one hour, drink this glass of water. Repeat points 6 and 7, 4 times a day. Tips:
    - In the starting the taste would seem to bother but within a week, you will start enjoying as it tastes like Gol-Gappe drink.
    - In order to permanently cure your issue, you need to take this powder for at-least 6 months.
To speed up the process and to stop the pain in one month, also follow the treatment mentioned under "Treatment for Irregular menses (early, late, painful, excessive/less bleeding or backache)"....SKIP this step [This step is optional: Take the following 2 medicines: "Dr. Christopher's Female Reproductive Formula", and "Dr. Christopher's Hormonal Changease".]

Note: This can also be done in partnerships. For example, one can do 3 malas (in case of Mool mantar jaap) and his parent/wife/sibling can do the remaining 3 malas. If three people split it, then it will only be 2 malas daily.

    Advantages:
    -  It can help discipline the mind, as it will be done on a daily basis (in case of Mool mantar and Gurmantar jaap).
    -  One will receive the phal (benefit) of one Sehaj Paath of SSGGSJ.
    -  Even an illiterate person like me, can do it (in case of Waheguru mantar jaap).
    -  One can do it at anytime and anywhere (in case of Mool mantar, Gurmantar jaap, etc).
    -  If split between two people, it will only take approximately 1 hr or so.
