I think this is it.  This should end all discussions. Let people/couple/men/women decide for themselves which dynamics they like submissive/dominant/equal or whatever dynamic there is. Everyone's personality is  unique & different.

    A Woman needs Love!
    Simple!
& the same exact things have been taught to us by our elders which are now getting extinct.
ps And Satkirin writing long essays doesnt prove your point, learn to be short & succint in 3-4 sentences. But thats okay, its not your fault, women are just verbal processors as the lady in above video said. lol

Instead of of all this Satkiran, why don't you just let people chose whichever type of relationship they fit in?

Your 'one model should fit all' idea of relationships is ridiculous and doesn't even remotely try to factor in natural differences in psychology/personalities.

Sangat jee: Below is an ancedote (some people might find it hilarious) from the life of Shromani Bhagat Baba Kabeer jee Maharaaj.

    Quote
Satguru Kabir Saheb never agreed with the caste system. Many disciples of Swami Ramanand were of low caste. Once Swami Ramanandji was invited to attend a function at Totadri, a place in South India, where the majority of the followers of Ramanuja Vaishnava sect lived. They adhered strictly to the caste system. When Swami Ramanand’s disciples arrived with their belongings loaded on a buffalo, the main priest was confused because the disciples were of various castes. His problem was how to feed them without humiliating his guests. After a discussion with other priests, he declared that only those who could recite the Vedic verses would be allowed to eat with the Brahmins. The others would have to eat elsewhere. Satguru Kabir Saheb did not like that decision and taught them a lesson. He told the head priest that the recitation of the Vedic verses is not difficult even for the buffalo. He told one of his disciples to bring the buffalo. Kabir Saheb told the buffalo: “Please recite some verses of the Vedas.” The buffalo immediately started reciting verses from the Vedas. All the Brahmins were astonished with Kabir’s superhuman power. They were more embarrassed when Kabir Saheb told them to allow the buffalo to sit with them. They realized their folly and, with due respect, bowed down to Kabir Saheb and asked for his forgiveness. Consequently, all the sadhus and saints were allowed to eat together.

Sant mahapurshs humility is so natural and simple it leaves you awestruck.
There was an incident that happened in wolverhampton with sant baba isher singh ji..Baba ji was going to attend a divan at nanksar gurdwara and one individual took it upon himself to print posters saying to not attend the divan as sant baba isher singh is a pakand etc.. While a sevak was driving Baba ji they saw the individual pasting the posters on the wall.. Baba ji asked the sevak to stop driving, baba ji came out went to the individual and said 'please let me help you' the individual was shocked and said these posters are about you.. Baba ji smiles and replies 'meleh kapre ninda toye'...
I cannot validate the authenticity of this story as i heard it in a discussion amongst sangat but two things we can learn from this is the humility of elevated souls and that even if one slanders you, let them as they are wiping off your sins.:)

This is shameful and getting embarrassing. Gurdwaras are meant to be a dharamshala  where seekers go to learn, practice and serve. This politics game is getting beyond a joke and its embarrassing that we as a community have to call the police every time there is an argument that these people cannot discuss as mature adults.
Correct me if im wrong, along with patience and humility Guru Gobind Singh ji also encouraged his sikhs to learn and practice debate skills.
sorry to say i did chuckle at first when the first bibi got floored but after that it was just silly.. also funny thing is that when i watched it i was not surprised or shocked as it seems to be a common trend to kick off in gurdwareh in us and canada..

Don't you dare give up lol. It's okay one bad day but still you did what you meant too. So don't give up, push yourself up to the 14th day. How about you play something before you go to sleep, like find some 8 hours long video over gurmantar or put on repeat and play it if you can sleep with it. So when you wake up first thing your senses will hear is vaheguroo. Then lustful thoughts won't bother you much. But don't give up. You are still on right track. We all fail :)
Edit: oh you said through out the day. I would say if you free carry a mala or tally counter in your hand . It will remind you that you gotta do mul mantar.  Good luck .

    Penji,
Ultrasound will definitely tell if there is anything wrong with the gall bladder. They will look at the thickness of gallbladder lining & presence of any stones using Ultrasound. So you will only know after Wednesday.
GGT elevation is very specific for the blockage in bile duct, which is usually with a stone blocking it.
Sometimes stones are small & they are passed away on their own without any need for surgery. A cousin of mine in India passed the stones naturally , no need for surgery.
Another cousin in Australia had an infection of Gallbladder and had to have surgery right away.
Gallstones are very common in women in their 40s. So far it does sound like gallstones, just hang in tight till Wednesday.  The surgery is on the discretion of the surgeon. Usually the management is just pain relief & avoiding oily & fatty foods, but if the symptoms get more worse & frequent, you will eventually need cholecystectomy.
    Keep us posted.
    Stay in Chardikala!
ps.surgeons are very expert with gallbladder surgery, they prolli do one every day, so dun wry from that perspective.

You are right they don't. Scientists have been holding back science themselves. When they say science, they mean materialistic science. When I say scientists, I mean materialistic scientists. There are plenty of others, who are looking at spiritual phenomenon via scientific methods.
In our culture Yog is a science. The hypothesis is "yog chit vrti nirodh, tda drisht swaroopev sthanam" that through reducing distraction we can merge with our mool swaroop, and gain insights into reality. The experiment is to meditate and draw your conclusions via personal experimentation.

In real world, everybody go through restrictions. My brother has restrictions on him and so do I by our parents. He would marry any girl mom dad will fin for him, not because he can't find someone in his own because he respects my mom. He can go all on justice theme and be like nope mom is a female and inferior.  I have two options I can rebel against my parents under the name of justice or I can give them respect and be like whatever you say mom dad. There is a huge difference between the thinking of white people and brown people. I have white friends who tells me how being a good girl is so out of fashion and how I should rebel. Always smiled at it cuz with rebel my ego will get bigger and my ability to keep my parents happy will decrease. I believe in keeping others happy before myself and even if after marriage I have to make compromises to keep my husband I will do so. These small things only matter when we make them bigger. From your perspective and the society you are raised , you are right. But majority of the Indian women don't go for fights with their husbands because they wanna have the title to be so called equality. And about me getting married and staying at home, it's 20th century you won't find housewives, it's old theme now. My situation can change anytime with waheguru ji's Kirpa.Thank you for your suggestion :). I have never seen any guy stopping a women to go out and work. I am not saying you are wrong when you go for women right, but if you look around and see there are other places where women need more help. Not many Sikh girls want to go on a war with men over the things like leadership in paath or being able to walk right next to them instead of being behind them. Fighting with them for not helping with dishes or proving their kids that they and their hubby are equal.
Also if my daughter sees me listening to my husband instead of arguing with him, she will learn the lesson of being tolerance and if she thinks that by doing that I am becoming inferior then we must stop bowing to saints and gurus either cuz that makes us inferior too. Indian people touch elderly peoples feet, men mostly do that, my bro has to touch everybody's feet and I don't have too. He never said why this injustice where men have to touch feet and women does not have too. Men hold doors for women, and treat them well but we women choose to ignore all the good qualities and look at bad. I have had bad experiences with dad and bro but at the same time I have gotten love and respect from them too, I can't put all under the rug just because one thing of men bothered us.
If I go with you under the name of justice, I will have anger towards men, I will have hate towards men, I will want a big ego so I won't have to feel inferior, I will always have war with men. Or I can learn to let go of small things and be like okay if that makes you happy. When it comes to big matters which does not really involve ego then story is different.
i know we have huge difference in our thinking, to you I will sound like a really old female who is almost a grandma lol but nothin new. I do have respect for you since you do stand by what you believe. Just don't get caught so badly in it, the way people get so caught up in the religion that they spend their whole life defending it instead of really following it. Fighting for injustice is a heroic thing but when this fight becomes an obsession then the problem starts. I have seen your comments under the basic of sikhi too long time ago , and they were all about women right so I kinda thought I knew you when I first saw your name here . I am sorry if I sad anything hurtful or super rude but my thinking is also the thinking of many Sikh women.

First of all, I wanna say sorry to you for all the people who have been mean. I did spend some time reading posts about women right on this forum and some people did say some mean stuff. However, i don't fully agree with the approach you are taking. I read many of your posts, you are after women rights so bad that everything goes towards it.
To me if I wanna be a good person I will have to let go of my Ego, I read your post about marriage and whole thing was about saying how you had a control over the Palla and you could just control the pace of your husband and how they said women can be part of panj Payaras. I just wanna know why is there a big need that everything should be equal literally?
Guru amardas ji, the king of the world was sitting at manji and Bhai dattu came and kicked guru ji, he fell, got up and asked , is your feet okay? I am old and my bones are hard I hope I have not hurt you. That was the humility of my Guru amardas ji. That was the saakhi which shaked me so bad that I got deep into spirituality. This taught me if the king of the king can bow down front of a person who was so mean to hurt an old person then who am I to keep my head above so high.
If there are bigger problems like where women are being treated like an animal then I will stand by you with women rights, but if it has to do with small things like women giving their husband somewhat superiority, or no women in panj peyare. Why are we fighting if guru ji chose not to take any women, why can't we accept that and be like okay. I read some gurdwaras don't let women do small seva at gurdwaras, this is something I am with you. But this obsession about being everything equal might make us go away from the real meaning of following sikhi.
There are countless stories which will show how the great saints and gurus showed humility and served even the lowest of low which were called by people. But look around today an amritdhari person will put other amritdhari down becaus they don't belong to their takht. I am stupid, I know nothing but one thing I know is women right is going too far and so does the those men who think a women deserve no respect. They need to just remember why call her bad when she gave birth to kings. I know you are not Indian and I know society influence a lot, I have spent almost 12 years in west and craze I see on women about being equal is not healthy. And so does the men who suffe from God complex. However, one gender has to show the maturity and learn to accept some rules which society created.
The type of world women want is where equality is everywhere and literally but then after that is achieved women will go to the extreme saying okay now men should start giving birth too, why we suffer? Every month I go through that horrible pain, I am like wish I was a guy but when I am a normal person with emotions and feelings and see guys being practical I'm like naw I don't wanna be man. Not saying all men are emotionless but some of them are weird lol no offense guys:). The point is this there are bigger things to fight over rather than men doing the house chores, women giving an apoourtunity to be in panj, women not able to stand that their husbands are considered superior. Somebody talked about touching other people's feet and I would touch everybody's feet because it will bring humility and humbleness. That's why we do shoe seva in gurdwara sahib so we can touch people's shoes and can become humble. There is a saakhi about 5th guru ji doing the shoes seva of the people who came to visit him if I am not wrong. I will find it and post it.
This world will become a much better place if people start learning that life is not about having equal rights, their rules and regulations, their religion, their attire. Life is about becoming what Guru Amardas ji was and other guru ji. I will highly suggest you to read sau saakhi, it has the stories of gurus and their humility, it's in English too.
I know I said a lot and I am sorry for coming as very rude, did not mean too. I apologize.

Not likely. I can't even fathom it. It would be the biggest betrayal anyone can experience. My husband and I have a huge spiritual / emotional connection way beyond anything physical. I am sure I never have to worry about it but just thinking how badly that would hurt ..one can't even put in words.  I know you guys think I hate men and such... Well I don't. And I love my husband more than I thought it was possible to love someone. I'd do anything for him. And he would do the same for me.  So for me, I can't imagine enduring that kind of betrayal.
Just please everyone on here, don't ever think of doing such a thing to your other half.  This is my proof that sex is not merely a physical act for producing a baby and physical pleasure.  It's a very deep connection to your spouse on multiple levels. If it were just for producing babies with the side effect of physical pleasure, that in my mind reduces the act to something trivial. Something trivial could never create such deep bonding and emotions and spiritual connection between two people.  Just please don't ever think of cheating on your spouse.

No worries Sat, this is not too unusual....It's your etheric/subtle body that is gaining kundalini potential. The etheric body is made up of energy channels called chi, meridians or nadis. These start getting blocked in all of us from when we detached from the umbilical cord and starting to get our minds enveloped in maya..  The etheric body affects physical body and vice versa.  Just as negative emotions, depressed moods etc. can lead to physical illness symptoms., then in the same way, a significant increase in chi or prana flow, can lead to physical and muscular stimulations. This is exactly how acupuncture works to relieve pain. The needle mapping in this therapy works on the Chinese meridian points- which are the same as nadis. Needling the surface of etheric body meridians results in stimulation and loosening of tight muscles. People wonder why acupuncture is not painful and why there is no bleeding,.....This is because, it is the subtle etheric body being poked, and not the physical.... p.s. " I've been having acupuncture and IMS regularly for a few years"
Anyway, I mentioned the above so that you get and idea about how powerful prana actually is..The muscle rigidity and aligning you experienced is because your erupting etheric energies are telling the physical to "straighten up and let us get through". This is why it is important to maintain good postural alignment for both a spiritual and physical well being.
I always imagine the prana flow and channels as thousands of long tubes running straight up your body. If you look at some human biology books or pictures and see the blood flow in veins, then you will see lots of valves that prevent blood from flowing backwards. I imagine the chi channels being blocked as if these kind of valves are closed shut and preventing flow........So when you felt the physical jolt and muscles aligning, ...it was because the prana was desperate to flow through and upwards along kundalini.. This is exactly what you want, but your physical body was not aligned and was obstructing by not helping the valves to open.... Thus, we can understand that to get the internal jog between atma and paramatma, we need to get some physical balance and alignments to help with the process.
I've heard that some people can be so physically unbalanced and unstable, that the prana channels can open with such a force that they get thrown a couple of feet from the floor as if some 'poltergeist' has wacked them whilst they were doing simran! ....On the other hand, some people can also end up passing flat out on the floor with such force when the prana erupts through channels above or near heart chakra.
Sehaj, 24/7 helps. Sehaj in day, no emotions, no regrets, no anger, no praise, no slander....just sehaj ,,,calm  and neutral... This will help all your body layers to stay in equilibrium. It will help prevent abrupt and  sudden flows of energy.

Had a strange experience during simran today. Automatically whist doing strong jaap my body jolted up and my back and spine became super straight and I sat up fully erect. I have never sat so straight like that in my life. Was very unusual indeed. It remained stiff like that for a few minutes after which I was able to relax back down.
