ipledgeblue got a reaction from paapiman in how to remain still in one asan for 3 hrs ?
yeh I lost a lot of simran practise and sitting in asan due to working shifts usually longer than 9-5.
I recently finished a contract at work during this pandemic lockdown, so I am trying to get some of it back!

What do Mahapurkhs beside Tarmala say?

ipledgeblue got a reaction from Arsh1469 in Raagmalla is not bani
It's mostly cultists that start sentences off with "Bhai Randhir Singh said this .... " or "Gursikhs like Bhai Randhir Singh were .... " etc.
But "Purataan Singhs like Bhai Randhir Singh" is a new one.
Seriously??
And is over a a century enough to be a Purataan Singh? Cultists throw around his name as if he is their Guru or something?!? Is this the way you guys start discussions?

Bro, they did not worship them, but respected them. After all, demi-gods and goddesses have done great deeds in the past.
It is similar to people having photos of Saints/Bhagats/Shaheeds (like Baba Deep Singh jee, Baba Nand Singh jee, Baba Taru Singh jee, etc) in their house. Sikhs don't worship them, but those personalities are inspirational to us

ipledgeblue got a reaction from Soulfinder in New - updated sarbloh.info discussions
sarbloh.info is a really informative site.
I think this thread works as a good associative thread.
it is nice the website has still survived whereas many other sites have come and gone, including many mentioned in this topic.
Just bumping this thread into 2021. I hope sarbloh website gets converted so we can see the pictures again, as currently it is stuck in Flash which is now obsolete.

ipledgeblue got a reaction from Soulfinder in r/sikhawareness subreddit - require contributors and moderators.
I have created a new post on reddit. since I don't really have time to moderate on reddit, I have just posted links to this forum. This way people on reddit can view the topics and at the same they can click on links to view the threads on sikhawareness site.
This is how it looks, I don't really have much time to edit the posts properly, but any suggestions let me know.

@angy15 are you sure don't need professional help as you spend so much of your time arguing on here and wrecking the atompherse of this great site ?
I suggest you go to sikhsangat.com as you will find many of your type of mindset users who will agree with you as you will never change my thinking with your ideas.

It is also found that couples that had fish in their diet also likely to become more pregnant and have high fertility.
When Sikhism is struggling is with low fertility your article support the opposite

ipledgeblue reacted to dalsingh101 in Nihangs and Fish
It's hardly like the surviving rehats are unanimous on the topic of meat/fish consumption. Jhatka has clearly been done for a long time. Hunting wild boar seems to have been standard Sikh warrior training (as well as for food provision).
Are people suggesting that consuming jhatka'd goats was permissible but eating fish was not?

ipledgeblue got a reaction from sarabatam in sikh Navratri Dusshera Dushera Dussehra
Just posting this up to make it easier for sikhs to find out about how we are meant to celebrate Navratri and Dusshera. There is actually something similar for Diwali as well where Dasvin 10th Patshah actually uses the word 'Diwali'! Hopefully I will find it before Diwali. https://www.facebook.com/652447751445011/photos/navratri-and-dushera-are-days-to-do-shastra-puja-the-nine-nights-of-naurate-star/995158367173946/ -
