Yea Love needs to be cultivated.
When we love someone we think about them all the time, so if we want to love someone whom we don't already, we need to start thinking about all the time.

Every moment you can think of the Beloved is a moment of liberation.

You make many good points Lucky. It seems like this is all to often forgotten. Or perhaps people focus on these things because they don't have the love yet. On some level they know this and so they try and try all kinds of methods and become stuck in the methods. No matter how much they work at it and sometimes they don't find it.

Whoever He blesses with His love gets it. Whoever He keeps separated, remains separated.

    Harsharan,
Your sentence above is faulty. By definition Brahmn is everything and beyond.

Brahmn includes Sat Chit Anand - Truth, Consciousness and Bliss

Thus, Brahmn is where sach khand is. sach=sat

When you have that feeling, stop whatever you are doing, put aside your tasks, and devote some time to learning about yourself and your experience.
Ehi time aa bhagti da te apne Mun nu samjhan di koshish karan da. Jadon vi time lage, apne aap nu samjhan di koshish karo.

The best thing you can do when you feel bored, is to face the boredom and look at it in the face. Be courageous and explore the depth of your boredom. Look at it closely... what is it? What kind of feeling is there in the body during boredom?
Ehde vich hi parmanand mil jaooga! je kar koi ehnu samajh lave!

With a playful mind, ask yourself, "Let's see how boring boredom really is. How bored can I really get?"

    You devil

    Does she meditate now?

Totally, I initially noticed it when I would wake up doing simran sometimes or I wake up and its so peaceful and effortless. I tend to sing simran and do meditation on the body in formal sittings, so it's usually the latter, where my body is super relaxed and I can feel all of it.
Then a couple years later, I started having dreams where I would go into a meditation inside the dream and my dhyan would be fixated while I was still dreaming.
Then recently, I found myself waking up in the middle of the night and there was just blackness and this really loud horn, almost machine-like sound ZUUURRRRRR. Very strange. I found myself in a state of dhyan and slowly coming out of it. I noticed that my breath was completely out of whack. I was trying to breathe to keep it going and in doing so I lost the state.

I'd add that a Gur-Mukh is themselves Guru's mouth. When you connect to Akal Purakh then you become the Guru, and whatever you say in that moment comes out of the Guru's mouth.

The shabad (word) is His name 'Waheguru', into which you are supposed to focus on with your whole mind.

If you can find a physical guru, that's awesome too because they can give advice for your particular case. They can tell you what you need to hear. So how do you recognize a guru? Anyone to whom you listen to, who takes you deeper into your consciousness, is a guru.

N3O can answer your questions. He is a busy man so relax, he'll get to it.

I want to shed some light on this.

Umbrella is a term which is nothing by itself. It is simply a name for various things that comes under it. So in the case of the term 'Hinduism'. There is no such thing as Hinduism, it a term used to refer to religions of Indian origin, sometimes referred to as Dharma.

Even religions that oppose each other such as Vaishnavism and Shaktyism come under this term of 'Hinduism'. Even though these are separate religions, they have principles that are opposite to each other. They still come under the umbrella term of 'Hinduism'. Why? For no reason, or you can say, for lack of understanding.

    Sanatan means puratan/ancient or original.
Even Sant Kabir ji says, "Ab man ulat sanatan hua". My mind has turned [away from the world] and has become 'sanatan' as in, it has taken the form of God.

Like Guru Nanak Dev ji says "Man tu jot saroop hain upna mool pachan". So Kabir says that "my mind has turned away from the world and has become the original mool swaroop"

So Sanatan can mean mool, the original form of something.

Yes all paths lead to Krishan ji. However many people simply wander instead of traveling on the path.

Wandering meaning the wandering of the mind in thoughts, in over-thinking, over-analysis, in arguments, in vaad-vivaad, trying to prove something right or wrong.

Krishan ji is available right now, in this instant. If the mind opens up it can receive Him. But it remains closed and gets into arguments, doubts, etc.

You feel obliged to accept different forms of worship. You feel obliged because you do not understand how that form of worship could lead to Shri Krishan.

You have faith on Krishan ji's teachings. He says He will accept all forms of worship so you feel obliged to believe the same.

Atheism means to not believe in religious teachings, to not take the teaching in the form of a belief system but instead to reach such a state of mind where you may realize this teaching for yourself.

This is also the aim of Science.

This is also the aim of Philosophy.

This is also the aim of Yoga, which is really a science. It's a puratan, an older science. Older sciences tended to be qualitative, and based on descriptions of personal experience.

Let personal experience be the way which shows you the teachings of Krishan ji, how all forms of worship lead to Him etc.

You see, it's not about whether the glass is half empty of half full. In any argument, one side says the glass is half empty, and the other side says the glass is half full.

I mention this analogy because it is easy to see the foolishness of it. Actual arguments are not like this, they are much more complex with multiple layers, as you already know.

The enlightened one, bodhi, among those arguing will realize something. He will see the glass and its contents (reality) for what they are, and see the whole thing as an argument (reality), as what it is. He can see Krishan ji.

The bodhi can see that there is a ritual and there is intent. The ritual may involve putting water into an idol or dead body. The intention is to express love and longing.

The ritual is the vessel into which the intention is poured.

It's a space. And in that space, how strong is your intention?

When someone chants Hari Krishna. How strong is the love in that moment? The chant is the vessel into which immense love is to be poured in.

    (Love, attention, concentration, etc)

That same intent could be present in -

    feeding an idol.

    a breath meditation.

    bringing flowers to a temple.

    going to Church on Sunday.

    bowing down to a book.

Pretty much any activity could carry such intent.

And if that intent is then present then any and all rituals and methods of worship are approved.

If you want to know about spirituality you ask a guru.

If you want to know about colour you don't ask your mates in a gurudwara or ask from "debate-specialists" on forums.

If you want to know about colour you ask an artist.

I'ma leave this quick photoshop right here...

I know it's messy but it gets the point across. Pale skin is actually perfect for wearing such colours. Pink and pale skin don't match because they are both pale. (Pink is a pale red.)

Pink is pale, white turban is pale, your skin is pale... too much pale bleh

Wear bright red and bright yellow pagg. And make sure you get some yellow designs on the red suit and try to match the turban with the yellow designs.

Wear some red and yellow bangles as well.

    BOOM!

I hope I ruined all your plans.

In other situations I leave it to Hari to prepare me for any upcoming challenges.

I get what you are saying and I respect your decision. If you want to take the yogic approach of self control more power to you. And more power to anyone else who wants abstain from astral realm.

But when you go from personal to universal, when you say this is what others should do as well. Then you have to give some good reasons why you think they should do it.

Whilst I like and respect what you do, I don't see those reasons working for me or for someone who is interested in astral travel.

"if someone addicted to porn and sex in this world...starts Astral travelling, he takes with him that same mindset to the Astral Realm..so then what will that person be likely to indulge in there?"
They can literally do this anywhere, internet, forums, games, real-life prostituion, mistresses, etc. Astral realm is not special dude.

The desires are the same, the gratification is on the same level. Nothing has changed. Whether its real life or astral realm or virtual reality, it's the same thing.

You are trying to make a special case for astral realm, when it's not special at all. Virtual reality does exist and these things can happen in virtual worlds. People pay for sex in real life, they have a desire and they manifest it via cash. Astral realm is that same for these people. Only the medium has changed.

Meanwhile the rest of us, don't give a shit tbh. We all have sexual desire, anger, greed and so on and so forth. But we don't bother to act them out most of the time. I think you are looking into astral realm way too much.

You seem to have some kind of connection with astral realm from past experiences. You seem to have invested a lot of energy in this area and that's why you consider astral realm to be more special than virtual or physical reality.

Did you have any experiences in astral realm that you want to share? Any experience which signal caution? Any experiences that were lovely?

PS dude you said you did website design in another thread, I wanted to talk to you about that. PM me your stuff, let's get in touch.

You see our consciousness is limited to our form, our body and our surroundings. It can only know that which is related to itself. It is self-centered (haumai). Try to imagine a consciousness is that is not limited to any form.

    With us it's
Calculus -> furna "I want to eat ice cream, I am so hungry. <followed by other random thoughts until we reach the fridge>" -> "ooh the box is cold... ok let me scoop it in this bowl <followed by other random thoughts>" -> proceed to eat icecream while still thinking about random stuff that we forget 2 seconds later. It's only when you pay attention will you notice all this.

Skilled meditators can minimize thought to the point where everything flows spontaneously. They'll have a craving in their belly and they'll walk over to the fridge, feel that it is cold with their hand and eat the ice cream with their mouth and taste the cold, delicious cream with their tongue (the entire thing is a savouring process). There is no intermediary dialogue or furna. Everything just happens, it just flows. (Guru Nanak Dev ji says "hukm rajai chalna" in the first pauri. This is what he is talking about.)

Lol you don't need us to tell you that focusing on forehead is no good if you can't sleep.

The only reason why you would want to do that is to get a feel for the third eye chakra, since the feeling you get from doing that is a little bit similar to the feeling of third eye chakra. But if doing that constantly is messing with your daily routine then stop. It's not any better than any other kind of meditation. Heck I've never done that in any meditation and my third eye chakra still becomes fully fired up.
