    Just a humble advice only if you would like to take else no issues. Please don't shift to anything else than Gurumantra--  let it go inside and reach your rom rom... You will thus excel in achieving the purpose of human life. Not even mool mantra. Don't shift. Becose once u get mantra parpakv then it's not easy to leave it n the whole energy gets diverting in shifting .. I hv suffered n don't want anyone else to. Still choice is yours

    If we try follow all rehats we Will only be concentrating on the tann NOT mann Such a KARAM KANDI jeevan WILL LEAD US To PANDITISM ... What a waste of sikhi jeevan. 
    Only rehat recommended is to save oneself from negativity of NINDYA, chugli and maintain proper - suchamta- hygiene. .. Iron was good(best) till steel wasn't created. 
    Bhakti, prem padaarth, naam, nirgun darshan are our goals.. Inner amrit is the source of khumari... Sikhi is inside. Karam kaands -- are a big no no

    Thank you bhaa jee, for this wonderful affirmation above, it is the only truth.
    For unless we strive to be one only with that ultimate Truth/Nam/Satnam, it would sadly mean we are still confused of what is all about that to be one with IT.
    As long one has any other ideas of oneself or others, we are much away from that TRUTH.
    When the rays emanate from that one SUN, irrespective of where they fall upon, all carry the warmth, the light, the purity of it, and at end of the day, all the rays return back and merge in the SUN.
    Due to the paraphernalia of maya and koor, the jeevas remain confused and delueded within the 4 walls of the mind.
    Unless one crosses the limits of the mind, one will not realize that one has to leave behind all those coverings which hold us back here in the mayavee realms.
    For God realization, one first needs self realization as jeev atma, in order to know what our true spiritual nature is and then proceed towards that infinite and limitless Truth of Nam.
    If He is an infinte ocean of Truth, each of us, are a drop of the Truth, irrespective of jaat, paat, color, creed, dharam, genders or nationalities.
    It is just a matter of realization of what that Truth is, and then do the needful only (bhakti) to merge in IT.

    Hanji @Soulfinder Satnam is one of the powerful mantra.. It's a Guru Mantra for Kabir panthis. Kabir ji used to japp Satnam. As per Nanaksar maryaada they call satnamji before entering anyone's room. - be it Guru Sahib ji's room when they bring Parshaada etc
    It's an important part of our Mool Mantra as well. His Name is pious and powerful in any form, panth or language.

    Few foods specially the sour ones get contaminated in iron vessels. Green veggies if cooked in iron vessel turns black.  .. Iron is good to cook only once a week. Excess of iron in body is also bad.

    It Really DOESN'T MATTER. Sikhi is not about numbers. We should have quality not quantity.. Kache hi tutde aa and who cares for  kacheya.. .. If one doesn't trust his GURU he isn't worth religion anyway..

    Few things that i have noted during my practice and may help or motivate others. I plan to jot here. I stand to be corrected. @Lucky @Sat1176veerji tagged for correction and support. 
     We need not chant loudly all day however we have to do baikhari bani jaap atleast few minutes a day ( more initially n less at later stages) to
    1. wash us off our daily maya indulgence. 
    2. As we chant loudly our naval automatically gets pull inside at Waahe and released at Guru... Like a yoga asan ( I think it's kapal bhaati) n release of Amrit ras gets activated.

    Update: There were days when i couldn't get up in the morning and was feeling guilty.  Now started again last week aiming for 40 continuous days of mool mantar jaap in the morning.  I never stopped reading biography of Sant Baba MahaHarnaam Singh Ji before bedtime and now reading volume 8. 
    I am more aware of tinnitus as focus going on in between the ears during the jaap,  sometimes it jumps to front of eyes or on hirda. Concentration getting better each day,  listened to Bhai Balbir Singh USA , a naam abyiyaasi, and his advice worked for me. Long way to go but i am glad i am on the right track.  
    Gurbaani makes more sense now,  feeling calm and little detached from world.  Feeling like i should focus on naam abhyiaas and gurbaani as don't know how long to live. Must earn this treasure before the death or the end of human life.

    Jaap completed for month of April , 19440, Total =38,880. Hopefully, Guru ji keeps this streak. If this post encourages anyone to increase their simran and nitnem, i will get the punya as well. so sangat ji stay in chardikala and do more simran/nitnem than you previously do and also bless this keet. waheguru  🙏

    That sound your hearing is called sehaj dhun. You can confirm that yourself when you speak one to one with any of the Gurmukhs who teach this path. I personally have so I confirm to you what I have been told. It is the start and as you focus on it you should notice it gets louder and louder. Sometimes it disappears and your left wondering where has it gone? Why has it gone? All you can do is revert back to Gurmantar and start again, trying to still the mind and relaxing in a more sehaj state whilst trying to remain relatively consciousness and aware (not easy). 
    Now doing seva of listening to this sound is not easy either and other sounds may come along the way as you go deeper within and your mind becomes more still. Don't expect miracles just cos you hear this sehaj dhun because like others have said it's only the start. How long we stay at only this stage of sehaj dhun only Waheguru knows. Only thing you can do is keep practicing the Gurmantar jaap and when you hear the sehaj dhun also try focus on it slowly trying to climb to the next rung of the ladder. When the time is right Waheguru ji will progress you to the next stage. Don't get impatient or lose faith mate. 
    Others will come on this topic to discourage you and that's their right to give you an alternative opinion. Your already doubting, lost and confused and I don't blame you. It's not an easy path, believe you me coz I been trying for years. Getting close to a gurmukh who will take you under their guidance is also not easy. Especially if you cannot go have regular sangat in their presence as most live in India. Online sessions help but it still leaves questions in your mind until you have a 1 to 1 with them and clear any doubts. But once you have asked and got your answer like I know you have, you got to take their word for it and then keep practicing. 
    Just to give you some scale to the journey ahead lets say there is more stages to come and we are still on the first step so just be grateful you identified the ladder and slowly trying to climb up. Other are yet to even acknowledge the ladder may exist. Everyone is on their own journey and I hope everyone finds a ladder that works for them. 
    1. Sehaj dhun
    2. Countless shabad ghanayray (so loud you can hear them internally when at a party) 
    3. Panj shabad
    4. Naad (naam) - Sound of an aircraft
    5. Internal amrit or amrit verkha from listening to naam. Stage 4.
    6. Parkash internally and externally. 
     
    Anhad is not just restricted to one sound. There are countless to come. The sehaj dhun is like a rope to hold onto  to as you try and go deeper within. It’s just starting….
    I was listening to one katha last week and the gurmukh said stick with sehaj dhun until you get to stage 4. So if you hear any other sound remain focused the sehaj dhun anyway. Waiting for the naad is the next rung to switch to after sehaj dhun. Let other sounds pass you by. Just hearing the sounds is not enough, you also need to be in the right state of mind and heading inwards toward samadhi and leaving body consciousness  and be listening to them at the right place heading upwards. It’s not just I hear a sound balle balle. Lots to learn yet and it won’t be all shared here. don’t get hung up in sehaj dhun, don’t think just hearing one sound means you made it either, because we haven’t. Keep learning about Bhakti marg and how to go deeper using simran and Shabads. You've been given good advice by some in this thread about simran teaching resources. You will be surprised how little you know cos it’s never published online, cos they don’t want the head ache. Those who want to learn will seek out and try and get in touch. Those that listen live in that moment take the knowledge or you miss out. It takes time and effort on your part to want to learn more. Suggest you take the advice if seriously interested in anhad marg. No one here is giving you guarantees of anything , we are all searching, sharing and learning together, no one claims to have made it either.  Some have made it further than others though and for that I do bow down in respect of their achievements and kirpa bestowed upon them. It’s credit to them for still coming back here on this very forum and helping and encouraging those of us who are still far behind.

    I am really sorry soulfinder veerji -- no offence but this is a Very misleading and a wrong video. Totally against the Gurbani pankti written by Kabir ji in the video itself. 
    anyone listening to this video please replace the word mala with Jivha or tongue as you listen to it. Materials don't become parmesar the roop - Mann does. Human soul does. 
    if we chant waheguru, we get sugandhi from INSIDE NOT FROM MAALA. if we do jaap the fruit is bestowed to our Mann not to wood or plastic simarni. Hide your inside self from negativity NOT materialistic maala.

    Correct.
    The early sounds you hear are pavan shabads. . You still have a way to go before the real bhagtee begins and naam gets pargat.
    It will be confusing a little this stage and it is only happening because you are going antarghat. . At this stage you can start practice going deep into saas saas. start with saas grass, get quieter as you settle...into saas saas( jap quietly with breath...keep going until settled enough to do saas saa but ALL the japna in silence with surti,. ie. breathe in-"wahe", breathe out "guru'... 'wahe-guru" done internally in complete silence with surti
