Singhji its great that old memories are coming back, its a sign of spirtual progress. The deep rooted filth of the mind is being removed.

Also the emotions and feelings that are dancing for your attention are there only to distract you from Simran. The best way to overcome them is not to keep getting sucked into them by simply ignoring them, the more you ignore them the less power they will have over you.

Remember the mind is tricky and is always looking to distract you from what you really need to do.

i believe both these granths are online

BANSAVALINAMA DASAN PATSHAHIAN KA is a poeticized account of the lives of the Gurus by Kesar Singh Chhibbar. The term bansavalinama means a genealogy. Another term used in the text is "kursinama" which is Persian for "genealogy." But, strictly speaking, this work is not a genealogical table. It is a rapid account, in rather incipient Punjabi verse, of the ten Gurus and of Banda Singh Bahadur and some other Sikhs.
Description of historical events and mythological elements occasionally overlap in this work. Its peculiar feature is the wealth of chronological detail it contains about the lives of the Gurus and the members of their families. But the reliability of the dates recorded by the author is not established. The author, Kesar Singh Chhibbar, came of a family who had served the Gurus as diwans or ministers. His grandfather, Dharam Chand, was in charge of the treasury of Guru Gobind Singh.
Dharam Chand`s father, Dargah Mall, had been diwan to Guru Tegh Bahadur, the Ninth Guru, and his two predecessors. Dharam Chand`s son, Gurbakhsh Singh, served Guru Gobind Singh. Kesar Singh was Gurbakhsh Singh`s son. Too young at the time of Guru Gobind Singh`s passing away, he did have the privilege of the company of some eminent Sikhs of his day, notably scholar and martyr Bhai Mani Singh. For many years he lived at Amritsar and also attended upon Mata Sundari, widow of Guru Gobind Singh, in Delhi. As he records himself, he wrote the Bansavalinama in a dharamsala in Jammu and completed it in 1826 Bk/AD 1769.
The book, comprising 2,564 stanzas, is divided into fourteen chapters. The first ten deal with the Ten Gurus. There is a chapter each on Banda Singh Bahadur, Jit (Ajit) Singh, adopted son of Mata Sundari, and Mata Sahib Devan. The last chapter of the book alludes to the state of the Sikhs in the early decades of the eighteenth century, persecution they suffered at the hands of the ruling authority and their will to survival.A point especially stressed is about the bestowal of Guruship on the Holy Book by Guru Gobind Singh before he passed away.
Kesar Singh says, "At this time the Guru Granth Sahib is our Guru (i.e. prophet teacher)... Recognize him alone as the Guru`s true Sikh who accepts as eternally true the word enshrined in.the Granth. He who abides by the word in the Granth, he alone will be the follower approved." He also mentions some other prescriptions for the Sikhs in the manner of Rahitnamas or manuals of Sikh code. But some of his assertions are not in conformity with Sikh belief and teachings. For example, he accepts the Gurus as incarnations of Visnu.
The Gurus acknowledged no deity besides God, nor did they support the theory of incarnation. Again, the author has tried to prove the superiority of the Brahmans even among the Sikhs which may be due to his own Brahman ancestry. In any case, this is contrary to the principles of Sikhism which rejects caste. Till recently this Sikh chronicle was available only in manuscript.Â
It was edited by Dr Rattan Singh Jaggi and published in 1972, in the Parakh, a research journal of the Panjab University, Chandigarh. The text used was a manuscript in a private collection at Batala. No date is mentioned on the manuscript, but it could be about 150 years old. A manuscript is also preserved in the Khalsa College Library at Amritsar; there was as well one in the Sikh Reference Library at Amritsar until it perished in the Army attack on the Golden Temple complex in 1984.

Panj Shabad, Anhad Bani and Sehaj Dhun

The terms used in the chapter include panj Shabad, anhad bani and
sehaj dhun. These are in the form of music tunes. Panj shabad
means the five divine sounds. They resound in the house of mind
and also with Truth. The divine speech of Truth is known as Anhad
Bani. It is the best of all the speeches. Truth Himself gives this
speech. Sehaj dhun is the divine Word of Truth. It is the divine
command for our minds and is also known as Hukam.

Truth in His grace and mercy reveals His secret Shabad – the

The Sukhmana channel, located in the center of the spine travels

sounds, many more melodies manifest. On the opening of the sixth

continuously reverberating melody at the Tenth Sky is called Sehaj

The True Guru is the All-knowing Primal Being; He shows us
our true home within the home of the self. The Panch Shabad, the
Five Primal Sounds, resonate and resound within; the insignia of
the Shabad is revealed there, vibrating gloriously. Worlds and
realms, nether regions, solar systems and galaxies are
wondrously revealed. The strings and the harps vibrate and
resound; the true throne of the Truth is there. Listen to the music
at the Sukhman channel and concentrate in the sunn. Contem-
plate the Unspoken Speech, and the desires of the mind are
dissolved. The heart-lotus is turned upside-down, and is filled
with Ambrosial Nectar. This mind does not go out; it does not get
distracted. It remembers truth without chanting and the mind is
immersed in the Primal Truth of the ages. All the companions of
this path are blessed with the five shabads. The Gurmukh minds

Waheguru thanks to everyone for sharing there experiences, you are helping me alot.
I read or listened to this a while ago. So im not sure if its correct or not. They said there are two kinds of sounds one of the body and the other of anhad shabad. When you listen to the real shabd it automatically stops your thoughts. When you hear the shabad of the body its good but its not the real sound. The real sound stops all your thoughts. I am not sure if this is right or not so dont believe me.

I've been reading the Ashtavakra Gita in english it is a must ready for everyone. I searched to see if it was in punjabi and couldnt find one. So with the help of converting softwares i managed to get the first chapter in punjabi. I want people to proof read it and tell me if its readable and understandable in punjabi. If the Sangat is farther interested, will work on second chapter. So please help in any way with comments.

    Ashtavakra Gita--Chapter 1

Old king Janak asks the young Ashtavakra - How knowledge is attained, how liberation is attained and how non-attachment is attained, please tell me all this.॥1॥

Sri Ashtavakra answers - If you wish to attain liberation, give up the passions (desires for sense objects) as poison. Practice forgiveness, simplicity, compassion, contentment and truth as nectar.॥2॥

You are neither earth, nor water, nor fire, nor air or space. To liberate, know the witness of all these as conscious self.॥3॥

If you detach yourself from the body and rest in consciousness, you will become content, peaceful and free from bondage immediately.॥4॥

You do not belong to 'Brahman' or any other caste, you do not belong to 'Celibate' or any other stage, nor are you anything that the eyes can see. You are unattached, formless and witness of everything - so be happy.॥5॥

Righteousness, unrighteousness, pleasure and pain are connected with the mind and not with the all-pervading you. You are neither the doer nor the reaper of the actions, so you are always almost free.॥6॥

You are the solitary witness of all that is, almost always free. Your only bondage is understanding the seer to be someone else.॥7॥

Ego poisons you to believe: “I am the doer”.
Believe “I am not the doer”. Drink this nectar and be happy.॥8॥

The resolution "I am single, pure knowledge”
consumes even the dense ignorance like fire. Be beyond disappointments and be happy.॥9॥

Feel the ecstasy, the supreme bliss where this world appears unreal like a snake in a rope, know this and move happily.॥10॥

If you think you are free you are free. If you think you are bound you are bound. It is rightly said: You become what you think.॥11॥

The soul is witness, all-pervading, infinite, one, free, inert, neutral, desire-less and peaceful. Only due to illusion it appears worldly.॥12॥

Meditate on unchanging, conscious and non-dual Self. Be free from the illusion of 'I' and think this external world as part of you.॥13॥

O son, you have become habitual of thinking- “I am body” since long. Experience the Self and by this sword of knowledge cut that bondage and be happy.॥14॥

You are free, still, self-luminous, stainless.Trying to keep yourself peaceful by meditation is your bondage.॥15॥

You have pervaded this entire universe; really, you have pervaded it all. You are pure knowledge, don't get disheartened.॥16॥

You are desire-less, changeless, solid and abode to calmness, unfathomable intelligent. Be peaceful and desire nothing but consciousness.॥17॥

Know that form is unreal and only the formless is permanent. Once you know this, you will not take birth again.॥18॥

Just as form exists inside a mirror and outside it, Supreme Self exists both within and outside the body.॥19॥

Just as the same space exists both inside and outside a jar, the eternal, continuous God exists in all.॥20॥

    HOW TO
    1) Lower the eyelids until the eyes are only open 1/10th. Concentrate on the tip of the nose. Silently say, "Wahe Guru" in the following manner: "Wah" -- mentally focus on the right eye. "Hey" -- mentally focus on the left eye. "Guru" -- mentally focus on the tip of the nose.
    2) Remember the encounter or incident which happened to you.
    3) Mentally say "Wahe Guru" as in number 1.

The Gurmukh minds
dwell in their homes. Nanak is the slave of that one who seeks the
Shabad and finds their home within.

Panj Shabad, Anhad Bani and Sehaj Dhun

The terms used in the chapter include panj Shabad, anhad bani and
sehaj dhun. These are in the form of music tunes. Panj shabad
means the five divine sounds. They resound in the house of mind
and also with Truth. The divine speech of Truth is known as Anhad
Bani. It is the best of all the speeches. Truth Himself gives this
speech. Sehaj dhun is the divine Word of Truth. It is the divine
command for our minds and is also known as Hukam.

Truth in His grace and mercy reveals His secret Shabad – the
insignia of His existence- (Anhad Bani or Sehaj Dhun) to some
blessed souls. The Guru gives the Gurmantra and through Gurman-
tra the secret Anhad Sabad (Word of Truth) is revealed to the
    seeker.

The Sukhmana channel, located in the center of the spine travels
upward making six circles (chakras). These six chakras are called
khat chakras (six homes or six doors). These are the six places
where the channels of Ida and Pingala meet with the Sukhmana
channel. When the divine light of our soul travels through these
circles, different types of sounds are produced. Gurbani says:

kr kir qwl pKwvju nYnhu mwQY vjih rbwbw ]
krnhu mDu bwsurI bwjY ijhvw Duin Awgwjw ]
inriq kry kir mnUAw nwcY Awxy GUGr swjw ]1]
rwm ko inriqkwrI ] pyKY pyKnhwru dieAwlw jyqw swju sIgwrI ]
With the entry of divine light in the six chakras, the divine melody
of drum beat appears and eyes act as tambourines. The sound

of the guitar is heard in the forehead area. The sweet flute music
resounds in the ears. The mind starts to dance is reflected by
presence of sound of shaking ankle bracelets. This is the rhyth-
mic dance of mind for the Truth. The Truth, sees all the make-up
and decorations of such a mind.
    (SGGS 884)

These sounds resemble the tones and tunes of a cricket, flute, gong,
conch shell, horn, tinkling bells, trumpet, rebeck, singing cicadas in
the silence of the night, and a falling bronze vessel. Other than five
sounds, many more melodies manifest. On the opening of the sixth
chakra, the Shabad enters the Gagan (the Tenth Sky). This
continuously reverberating melody at the Tenth Sky is called Sehaj
Dhun or Anhad sabad. When our mind enters the stage of
UnnMunn (inward mind), all the doors open and the tunes and all
    the shabads start to sound.

The divine melody of the Shabad vibrates.
    (SGGS 917)

The combined symphony of these sounds is called Anhad Bani.
When these melodies are very loud and fast they are called Taar
Ghor Bajaantar (The grand orchestra of divine music). All these
melodies reverberate at the Tenth Door in the Sukhmana and are
called the divine music in the house of Sukhmana “Sukhman De
    Ghar Raag”

    Bhai Ji
you have been given the wrong information about Bhai Sewa Singh Tarmala Ji

First of all the video you posted is of gurchanran singh Jeon wale he is a missionary you can find many of his video where he does ninda of all sants like bhai randhir singh akj, baba atar singh ji mastuana sahib, baba isher singh rara sahib. and baba nand singh nanaksar wale.

He says nam simran is a waste of time. Also, he recently organized a conference where they passed a metta which said all of dasam granth is not of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, thats including jaap sahib, chaupai sahib ardas and that these banis should not be read.
So be very careful about what he says.

About bhai sewa singh giving bhramgiani certificate. This is a controversy raised by missionary like gurcharan singh, ghagga sarabjit singh dunda, dilgeer, and thailand wale.
Bhai sewa singh ji in front of many jathebinds cleared this issue, you can find the video on youtube. The reason its called bhramgian university is because they teach from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji which is brahim gyan. The certificate they give is to the people who have complete the 1 or 4 year course, its not a degree that says your a brahmgiani.

Bhai ji i hope this has cleared your doubts you can find many videos of bhai sewa singh ji on youtube
