people turn to astrologers, pandits and clairvoyants  when they have no one else to turn to.
A Sikh always turns to guruji and akal purakh.
If god's superior temple the hari-mandar is within you,..then why go looking outside for answers?
Ardas, hukamnaama and his kirpa is what you should count on....and kirpa doesn't come like no lottery or pure chance, as some wrongly claim-where only some get it and others don't.......you have to 'cultivate' and sow seeds of naam kamayee in order to be kirpa's candidate.

    Astrological calculations about one's future create suspense or sorrow in one's heart;
But by seeking the Guru's refuge, one always remains in peace and comfort.

I too would say aloe vera & neem....Problem with jasmine/olive oils is that they can affect your skin by clogging sweat pores on your cheeks..this results in acne type/ redness/rosacea.... reactions.
As for regaine/rogaine..it is a chemical that can sometimes work for male pattern balness on scalp..but it works best by preventing further hair loss more than replenishing.
I would stick to the natural/ayuverdic applications and even try a little bit of that dabur Amla hair oil as well from apney stores.

Make a paste of Aloe Vera fresh extract not the one you get int stores , neem leaves and add it to curds ..apply this pack to your beard and keep it for an hour or more if you can.
Neem is disinfectant , aloe vera is healing and curds is conditioner . You can apply the pack twice a week i believe .

Yes these are normal indications of one surat(consciousness) progressing, becoming de-attached from this world and becoming more attached the source of itself. World is false-maya as separate relative reality perception but same world/ universe is true as non dual reality- Vahiguru da roop/ Ik Hari roop..
As one's inner consciousness (surat) gets more more absorbed in its source (liv shabad/ liv shabad gian), one can also retain eternal peace while doing work just like how  one can still talk on the phone while still driving on the road.

If you get pain in your buttocks and legs, and are unable to keep a straight back , do the glute bridge exercise. It really has helped me with the stiffness of back and I am able to sit longer than previously. It provides a good stretch for back, and hip flexors. Everyday we use hip extensors especially during sitting which makes iliopsoad muscle stiff. Working the hip flexors will be a good exercise. Give it a try.

Thanks, I will try some of that...
I use very similar techniques energy transfer for my own 'self-spiritual healing' quite often because I have multiple spinal injuries,.. and my left side is often quite troublesome.
What you say makes perfect sense to me as long as someone has the patience and belief to persevere.

It doesn't actually work that way because we lose huge amounts of fluid weight first, which is through sweat, water loss and energy burned from glycogen/fat stores...People often forget that all muscles and organs of body contain water.
I have often weighed myself before and after 400+calorie workout....and I usually lose 2lb's+.. which is nearly 1kg (2.2lb=1kg) quite easily.

there is a fundamental difference between knowing through intellect (which people like me tend to know a lot through readings, listening and discussions but is devoid of any experience, and furthermore rely on that to express my religiosity), and believing (which people like me tend to equate with knowing albeit falsely, and it means one has experienced the shabad one way or other, jaap or grace),
for example, let us take a shabad,
".... Taati vao na lagai, tati vao na lagai jin Parbrahm sharanai, Chaugird hamare Ram ka, chaugird hamare Ram ka
    Dukh lage na bhai,...,"
now we all know what it means intellectually and not only that we tell others whenever they have any problem to do that, however, only a naam abhiyasi who have done jaap of this shabad, will actually know and believe it through spiritual experience.

You are grossly misinformed. I am assuming you been victim of propaganda from gursant singh. What a petty points to make a issue.
    1. Whilst they do have white tantric session / camp every year, white tantric hocus pocus stuff is not a integral part of their 3HO. In order to proof white tantric yoga is integral part of 3ho, they have to do it in daily lives which they don't, let me refresh your memory- they get up amrit vela at 3 am, do japji sahib and do kundalini yoga, and many also in kirtan jatha, so they do kirtan bhagti which is very much part parcel of sikh dharam.
    2. Kundalini yoga/even hatha yoga incorporated with sikh mantra is done by udasis and nirmale- sikh order in the panth prior to 3ho, there is evidence kundalini yoga is done traditionally so its not a new thing. In fact, many nirmale and udasi intially use hatha yoga/kundalini techniques to do sukhmani sahib other gurbanis for example- do one asthpadi in one breath to enhance concentration as traditionally breath follows consciousness, consciousness follow breath wherever the breath is that's where our concentration/chit would be. One can actually try this practically even now just hold your breath for 20 secs you will see your consciousness locked in cannot wonder anyway. There is nothing hindu about it, many buddhist monks used kundalini techniques as pointers to transcend. It's science of human body subtle energies, energy points, consciouness, mind, soul
    3. What yogi bhajan is and wasn't its open to interpertation by all. I trying avoid talking about personalities. He was given sri singh sahib title by sri akaal takh jathedar and same intuition which is bestowed title of bhai sahib to bhai sahib randhir singh.
    4. You making it sound greeting satnaam is anti sikh or something, let me make it clear Vahiguru ji ka khalsa Vahiguru ji kifateh is not replaced by satnaam, these are two separate greetings they consider it two separate greeting, 3h0 never replaced it. In fact i hear them using both. Satnaam is part of mool mantra, and great shabad on its own- Sat-true pure existence, naam - name.
    5. Whilst i agree yoga is been commercialized traditionally yoga term is pure union, real meaning of yoga is yoga chit birthi nirodha as per sant gyani gurbachan singh bhindranwale uphold traditional meaning which means any technique which helps bring consciouness one pointed.
Anyway, here is the real true essence meaning of yoga in three words:
Yoga Chit Vrithi Nirodha - Yoga Sutra -Patanjali- patanjali is consider gurmukh as per bhai gurdas ji.
yogaḥ = (nom. sg. m. from yoga) yoga
citta = (iic.) all that is mutable in human beings; thoughts
vṛtti = (iic.) thought-wave; mental modification; mental whirlpool; a ripple in the chitta. A vritti alters perception like a misconception, or as waves on the surface of a pond obscure or distort our view of the bottom.
nirodhaḥ = (nom. sg. m. from nirodha) to find tranquility; to control/Ceasation of chita vrithi(thoughts/mental thought waves) leaving one in yoga- absolute union
    6. There is no evidence of 3ho sikhs opening up their kesh infront of sri guru granth sahib ji, if there is then please show it. I be first one to condemn it. Thats indeed bad. I am not questioning this incidence but i like to point i wouldn't believe what gursant singh has to say as in the past there are instances he twisted many things even to this day.
    7. You obviously haven't been around old traditional sikh school of thoughts, they all do. In fact many sikh saints do- fruits is as natural satogun food nature has to offer, sant jagjit singh harkhowale, rara sahib, nanaksar they all give fruits when karah parsad is not available.
So this is most nonsensical petty argument. What a lame arugment.
    8. Yes i have seen them around hindu idols outside some are in interfaith and other around retreats either way its wrong.
    9. Simran to yogi bhajan, what a non sense allegations, none of them are simran to him rather than creating space within for meditation. Paying respect to him as saint just like other sikhs pay respects to sikh saints. Yes there is evidence of robotic kundalini sessions to get certifications and thats wrong. .
    10. Yogi bhajan teacher was udasi sikh saint from sikh order- sant hazara singh. Whilst he did changed terminology of terms, readjusted yoga to suite western needs but essence of yoga is not changed.

I get the feeling that 3hrs or 2.5hrs(dasvand) is used as a kind of bench mark because no matter how basic or skilled someone is in simran.....>Even if the beginner on foundation level allocates the dasvand time towards simran, he/she should get at least some moments/seconds/minutes of deep -single thought connection throughout a session.
In effect, there should mostly be some moments of some real dhan kamayee, even if one was sat getting diverted into thoughts of work, bills, household chores..etc. for the most part.
This message is important because I sense that a lot of us just give up and think ''Oh,  I can't do simran,,, I can't ever settle,,,,, my life's too busy.... theres' way too much for me to sort out in my thought process,,,,etc,".
see, my suggestion would be ..".keep trying..and keep making those few hours tor at least a crack at it"
Again, this all boils down to strict self-discipline and goes along with another reason why Guruji bestows rehat.

a good place to work towards is dasvandh of your time...so 2.5 hours of the day...
i have been working towards that amount of time...obviously some days it is difficult because tiredness and sleep take over. but that's not a bad thing...need to listen to your body and rest...so that the next time you do simran mind is refreshed and more focused.

if you're doing almost 3 hours already then i think you should not really worry about the length of time you spend doing it...but rather the quality of the simran...
i have only reached greater lengths of time in Simran when i am pulled deeper within...then time doesn't seem to come up...only when i open my eyes do i realize how much time has gone...

some days 'IK MAN' is achieved within a few minutes...other days even after 2 hours of simran my mind is all over the place...
one thing that doesn't change is the longing deep within...as long as that is there...guru ji will come calling..

yes, stretch...remain supple...and relaxed..that's the best thing for people our age....on a deeper level, the more suple and relaxed the body, the better our life force energy can circulate the body...

have you ever had a stressfull day...then rubbed the back of your neck...that amazing tingling sensation that rushes to your head and alleviates the stress of a stiffened neck...that's your energy flow...

work with your own body weight. i have tried every trick in the book in my life to lose weight...build muscle...
for losing weight don;t believe all these one trick methods...you will only lose weight if you burn more calories than you put into your mouth :)
eat small regular servings of meals...mixed and varied food...do NOT starve yourself...thats is the worst thing to do...your body needs to know that it will be getting food.
then burn 300-400 calories a day if you can with exercise...that is about 40 minutes of exercise...a fast walk...walking up and down stairs...a jog...and what i have found is...for example if you are jogging...do not do same speed and intensity for the whole time...vary it...so maybe 5 minutes easy level..then 1 minute faster level...then back to easy level...then back up a bit...then maybe a sprint for 100 meters....this helps a lot with your overall fitness and sharpness..
i am trying to lose weight as we speak...i have spent two weeks burning 300-400 calories atleast 5 days of the week...and i have lost 3-4KG already...
so burn those calories and eat regularly but smaller servings and healthier servings and you have a winning formula..

look at videos on youtube...for doing stretches..then do the stretches one day...take one day of, then do again...on my wedding day i had the worst pain sat down for a couple of hours during the Gurdwara ceremony :) ..since i started doing stretches, i can now sit cross legged without any back pain or leg pain..

hope this help my good friend

i will send you some links lucky ji...
i really recommend tai chi and chi-kung my friend...it goes well with your Simran and meditation practice that your also do.
if you do tai chi and chi-kung regularly, you will start to feel the energy flowing around your feet...palms of hands...top of head etc in your movements...its pretty cool.
if your meridians are already pretty open then your chi will flow quite easily to wherever you put your mind and attention..for example...i am right this second focussing on my right hand...within seconds it is tingling...like ants crawling over it....thats the chi :)
so when you are visualizing something like...lifting a dumbbell, then the chi is circulating in that area...and then when you do the actual exercise it should feel a little easier than the last time you did it...small changes but over the course of a year big changes...and you will not have to go through what bodybuilders go through...the bruised, tense, torn muscle pain for several days.
just do a few sets throughout the day, stopping 1 rep before muscle failure (its the muscle failure that gives your sore arms the next day)...and when you do the sets...really focus with your mind on what you're doing or intending to do...visualise also whilst you're doing it...where the weight needs to go...the path it needs to follow..etc etc...it really works...well it did for me...stronger than i have ever been
i used to think back in the days following an intense workout...i couldnt even move my arms...they were that sore the following day. i thought what would happen if someone attacked me right now...i wouldn;t even be able to defend myself due to the soreness...so whats the point :)

need to be sharp, focussed and have all your strength ready when it is required.

    God bless..

to link my replies back to your question of shabad and strength...
i often repeat 'waheguru' or 'satnaam' in mind when i exercise...lifting weights or running or anything...visualize what your goals are..do ardaas asking for his support and keep Him on mind whilst doing it...if you believe it, it will happen and God will help.

    God Bless

Well, we have two instances, where Satguru jee allowed his portrait to be made.
One sakhi is of a woman from Dhaka (present day Bangladesh), who requested to make a portrait of ninth master and she was given permission. The sakhi is below:
    http://nanaksarkaleran.com/originalportraitofgurutegbahadurji
Second, we have the famous portrait of first master, which is used in Nanaksar gurughars. Srimaan Sant Baba Nand Singh jee Maharaaj Kaleranwala did great parupkaar (mercy) on people like me, by gifting the Panth, the photo of first master.
Having said the above, we should try to stick to the above two pictures, in addition to any other historical pictures of Satguru jee. If cartoon images are to be made, they should use these pictures as a base.
Also, pictures should not be worshiped, but can be used for motivation and inspiration.

Lucky got a reaction from SAadmin in Purpose Of Dasam Granth
The answer is in the very good post above, Satkirin.
lust does not mean sex,  and sex does not mean that lust has to be involved either....I know this is difficult to comprehend for some of us,.. but we need to read more bani and do more bhagti to get to this level of understanding.
The stories are about women because of the reasons mentioned in above post by Amardeep,....and I agree that most of us read it as stigma of men, where men fall weak to the power of the kaam dhoot...... Many many great kings, leaders and men have fallen victim to this according to history and scriptures all over the world.
Sri guru granth sahib gets you looking through a window by clearing up the fog and mist so that you can see the Truth clearly by going from the darkness-->lightness, ..from the mist-->to clarity... whereas CP/dasam bani is like a mirror and shows you and your ego's reflection that itself masks and covers any clarity seen through a clear window.
The idea is to work on our ego reflections such that the mirror ceases to exist and becomes the clear window instead, showing the truth in it's entire clarity.
