IMO, those compositions were not false, but were not part of the original saroop, which was compiled by Sri Satguru jee (Fifth Master).
Sri Pran Sangli is a composition of Sri Satguru jee (First Master). Fifth Master had sent a Sikh to Sangladeep (where this Gurbani was) to bring it back to Punjab. Maharaaj then decided to "Jal Parvah" the Pothi as he had said that my Sikhs don't need it. A Sadhu requested Maharaaj to give him the Pothi and he agreed.

Well, one can kill a man with a brick. So, it all depended on the intention of the Sikh. If his intention was to kill, then it would definitely be classified as an assassination attempt.

In all conflicts there are always multiple agendas. Look at Syria for instance, it's not simply a matter of rebel groups vs Bashar Al Assad. The different rebel groups have hundreds of agendas, and in some cases they can work together for a common goal while setting their own differences aside.
Likewise in terms of the Shaheedi of the Gurus, Jahangeer had one motive to persecute Guru Arjan Dev while Chandu Shah and others on a local basis had other motives. But in both cases they wanted to get rid of the Guru.
Likewise, the Pahari rajas had their motives to get rid of Guru Gobind Singh while Aurangzeb had others.

I heard this story about few months back during a kirtan samagam. The way the ragi explain the story was so emotional. Anyhow the version that I heard said that when she  "passed away"  and was left at the darbar where kirtan was being heard , it was Sri Dasmesh Pita who told her to take amrit. When she went to the gurdawara, the Gurdawara official refuse to give her amrit as they were not convinced with her story until she "threaten" that when she pass away and Sri Dasmesh pita asked why she have not taken the amrit, she will said that you asked me to take the great amrit  but your khalsha refuse to give the amrit. This lead the Sikh official to administer amrit unto her.

I think I have answer to the quest of many persons. First of all, I am Prem Parkash Sharma from Amritsar. I want to put a question in front of all you, I you have to do a very important work which can save millions of people and that work is for sake of humanity and on the other side you are wishing to go Golden Temple or any other religious place, where your beliefs are, what will you do? Perhaps, I will say I will definitely save millions of people. Just leave the millions of peoples, even it is the matter of single person, I will prefer to save that person. The same Guru Ji did. They were not born to visit Gurudwaras or other places. He was a YODHA. A Sant Sipahi. A real Soldier. Was the Mighty had time to visit any religious place. HE has given away his four sons, his father, his homely facilities, each and everything for humanity,  and his time and life also.
About Kalki avtar: "TUMRI GAT MIT TUMHI JANE" Who will be the Kalki Avtar, it is the sole discretion of Almighty. We are no one to discuss such things. But the description of 10th Avtar of Vishnu Ji as Kalki Avtar given in BHAVISHYA PURAN, resembles with the appearance of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Might possible, Guru Ji will come again as Kalki Avtar. Please dont take this line as final words, there is only possibility. This is the only discretion of the supreme power.

Exactly, all are welcome. However, people are not welcome to try to change the dharam that the Guru ji's started, or the practices which they expected Sikhs to follow.

Question: Is Shunya being awake and aware with no thoughts or when you loose full awareness like deep sleep?
Response : Shunya is being awake and aware but there are no thoughts in the mind. In this stage you exist still as the witnesser. When one totally dissolves and there is not even any awareness left, this is called Maha-Shunya. (The Great Void)

I don't think anyone can "have god reside in your mind"; because He is already there but we cannot find Him. e.g Butter is hidden in the milk but becomes visible only when someone does follow the process of churning.
Same way God is there, it's just a matter of:
    * Finding reasons Why we cannot find him?
     - Because we're finding Him in the wrong place.
     - and our Mind does have faults.
    * And once we're aware of those, we just need to follow the process of removing those veils.
Sat has already explained what really means by "Raab da mann wich vasna a.k.a Raab nu labh lena", but it comes with KIRPA.

The mind has to be stilled and purified via the gurmantar and has to pass through the following stages before it becomes pure and merges back into Waheguru
    1.Many Thoughts and Desires
    2. Gurmantar / Mantra (Only taking 1 thought with focused dhyan on this)
    3. No Thoughts (Pure Still Mind)
    4. Anhad Bani starts so then dhyan/focus is put on this shabad
    5. Multiple shabads become one sound (aka Naam) by listening to which you eventually merge back to the Ultimate Truth. This is stage where it is said that God resides in the Mind.

I was told by a very learned gursikh  in 1990 that by having a bhog with a muslim woman, you have created a zina which punishable under the muslim sharia law. Therefore the said woman will be punished with stoning etc. If a child is born due this sexual encounter, the child under sharia will be known as bastered and be shunned upon the communities despite being a muslim. The child will loose all the privilage being a muslim. Thus by your sexual act, you have cause harm directly  2 person , the woman and the child.Further he said that being illegitimate son, the son will cursed you as his father for rest of his life!!

The pati parmeshar concept is a load of made up baloney. Especially taksalis who believe they are most righteous Sikhs..  Stick to mainstream rehat for now, do your own japna and find the temple inside you...don't give hoots about who goes which temple and who runs what. These saakat jathas have made sikhi into a dress up religion and it's all about whether you have amrit from them or someone else. Don't bow down to any of these so called brahmgianees or brahman-like taksals just bow down to SGGSji and follow bani.

The Japji sahib, The Jaap Sahib The Akaal Ustat Sahib or even Sukhmani sahib ..these banis indicate that core Gurmat is the direct connection between Hari Purakh Akaal and us...if you dive deeper you would not need the Gurdwaara , the Prakaash and Sukhaasan as well as Deg rituals and Chaur sahib...just shoonya...HOWEVER ...does a human being right form the beginning understand this ? in generic term a good Sikh is one who regularly visits the Gurdwaara does sewa and contributes his daswandh along with doing Nitnem. In Gurbani Guru Maharaj has time and again mentioned that people who cut off themselves from the world living in caves and growing their kes too are not promised an awastha ...Then ..how does the so called Gursikhi jeevan of just doing things ritually guarantee anything ? Rituals are part of a Organized Religion and Sangat - Pangat were introduced by Guru ji Thyself for a reason. The Rituals at Hazoor Sahib are a mixture of Udasi, Nirmale and Nihang Sampradaas and rather than ridiculing them one should understand that they are cultural influences which play a vital role in the militarisation of the Khalsa...not everyone can be a Baba Deep Singh ji ..not every one is a Charhdikala awastha ...let us first correct our own self than we pinpoint Sampradaas maryada.

    Savinderpal,

This whole issue has been discussed many times when they first started up. You can find many threads on sikhsangat about him.

But to put it simply they have a 1 year naam abhyaas course where you probably stay there and do a serious about amount of daily naam abhyaas under their guidance. At the end they give you a certificate from their institution called Brahm Gyan University stating you completed the 1 year naam abhyaas course. I don't believe it states you are now officially a "Brahmgiani", which was how people started interpreting it. Think there is also a 4 year course.

Yes they have certainly raised the bar in who can partake in Amrit. They believe one should have a certain level of kamiyee and reached a certain avasta before you should present yourself to take amrit. I'm not 100% sure but I think as a minimum you should have reached the stage of anhad shabad. Even after taking the amrit I think you have to commit to spending another year doing further strong naam abhyaas as some other jugties are taught in the amrit sanchar.

They certainly believe in quality not quantity.

Think the aim is to develop pacharaks with practical kamyeee as well as knowing teachings of Guru Maharaj.

Even though the title says "truth about hemkunt" I'm not saying if this is true or not just sharing. I thought I would share something my grandpa told me. He told me that the real Hemkunt is a place within where Guru Gobind Singh Ji meditated. It is not a physical place, it is sookham.
About his own life Guru Gobind Singh writes in his auto-biography: -
Ab main apnee katha bakhaano. Tap saadhat iih bidh muhe aano. Now I relate my own story as to how I was brought here. While I was absorbed in deep meditation. Hemkunt Parbat hai jahaan, Sapt sring sobhit hai tahaan .1. The site was the mountain named Hemkunt, with seven peaks and looks there very impressive .1. Satptsring teh naam kahawa. Pand raaj jahan jog kamava That mountain is called Sapt Shring (seven-peaked mountain), where the Pandavas Practised Yoga. teh ham adhik tapasaya sadhi. mahakaal akalka aradhi .2. There I was absorbed in deep meditation on the Primal Power, the Supreme Being .2. (Srigranth p132) "My father and mother meditated on the incomprehensible. They both practiced the highest yoga through diverse spiritual efforts. Their devout service in the love of God pleased the Almighty who commanded me to take human form in this world. I did not like to come. God sent me into the world with a mandate saying, 'I cherish thee as my son and send thee to establish the path of truth. Go into the world and establish virtue and keep the people, away from evil.'When my father came to Triveni (Allahabad) he daily devoted himself to meditation and charity. There at Allahabad the dazzling light manifested itself into human form."
Ih bidh karat tappsaya bhayo. Davai te ek roop havai gayo. In this way, my meditation reached its zenith and I became One with the Omnipotent Lord. taat maat mur alakh araahaa. bahu beedh jog saahdna sahdaa ॥3॥ My parents also meditated for the union with the Incomprehensible Lord and performed many types of disciplines for union.3. tin jo karee alakh kee sevaa. taa tay bhaay prasanni gurdava ॥ The service that they rendered the Incomprehensible Lord, caused the pleasure of the Supreme Guru (i.e. Lord). tin prabh jab aaees muh theeaa. tab hamm janam kaloo mahi leeaa ॥4॥ When the Lord ordered me, I was born in this Iron age.4. Chit na bhayo hamro aavan kaih. Chubhi rahee srut Prabhu chaman maih I had no desire to come, because I was totally absorbed in devotion for the Holy feet of the Lord. Jio tio Prabh ham ko samjhaayo. Im Kaih kai ih lok Pathaayo. But the Lord made me understand His Will and sent me in this world with the following words.5. Triveni is the same as Trikuti. Where the 3 rivers meet. Guru Tegh Bahadur was at trikuti and that's where the dazzling light manifested itself into human form.
"You have said that by resolving consciously to withdraw inside, or at the time of death, the entire life energy shrinks and returns to the center for the purpose of turning into a seed once again. At which center does the energy shrink? Does it concentrate at the agya chakra, at the navel, or at some other point? Which is the most important chakra, and why?
This requires a little consideration. The whole energy will of course shrink before death occurs. Before one embarks on a new journey, the energy which is otherwise dispersed all over the body will return to a point. This is the same as when one moves from a house – he collects all his important belongings. When he lived there, all kinds of things were spread out in every part of the house, from the bathroom to the living room. So at the time of moving, he sorts out his possessions. He throws away the junk, packs up the important stuff, and sets out on a new journey.
Just as we abandon one life, one body, and commence the journey of another life, another body – similarly the consciousness which was spread out withdraws and once again becomes the seed. Up to now it functioned as an actuality; now it will once again become a potentiality, because now, like a seed, it will enter a new body.
Just as a tree leaves seeds behind before dying, similarly the body too leaves behind seeds before it meets death. What we call sperm or ova are the seeds left by the body at the time of death. These are the seeds released prior to death, in anticipation of death. The sperm contains the entire built-in program of your body, it contains the exact replica of your body. As the body gets ready to depart, it leaves behind the tiny seed. This phenomenon occurs at one level – the physical. Similarly, consciousness, on a different level, gathers itself and becomes a seed in order to enter the seed present in some other body.
All journeys begin with the seed and end with the seed. Remember, that which is the beginning is also the end. The journey’s cycle ends where it started. We begin from a seed, we end up again as a seed. So the question is: at the moment of death, at which center would the consciousness gather to shrink and become a seed? It would, of course, gather at the very center you have lived through all your life. It would concentrate at the center which was most valuable to you in your life, because that was your most active center; one should say, that was the very point from where your whole vital energy functioned.
For example, if a man lived his whole life obsessed with sex, if he knew nothing beyond sex, if sex was all he lived for – he earned wealth to enjoy sex, he went after a high position in the pursuit of sex, he wanted to have good health so that he could indulge more into sex – if sex was the most predominant center functioning in his life, then that is where the entire energy will converge at the moment of death. Then his new journey will begin from the sex center. Why? – because his next birth will be an ongoing journey of the same sex-obsessed center. This man’s consciousness will gather at the sex center in the dying moments, and that is the point where his life will come to an end. His life energy will leave through his genitalia. Had this man lived through a different center, the energy would have concentrated and left from that center. The center around which one’s life has revolved is the center from where he will depart. The place where he dwelt the whole life will be the place from where he will depart. Therefore, a yogi can leave from the agya chakra, and a lover from his heart chakra. The life energy of an enlightened man would leave from the sahasrar, the seventh chakra – his skull will break open as he departs from there.
The point from where one makes an exit is the conclusive proof of how one has lived his life. Such techniques were discovered in the past that by looking at a dead body one could say through which chakra, through which door the consciousness left the body. All the chakras are doors for entrance as well as for exit. The soul will use the same door for entering another body which it used for exiting the dying body. The soul will enter the new cell in a mother’s womb through the same door from which it came out at the previous death – that’s the only door it knows.
Therefore, the mental condition of the father and the mother, as well as their state of consciousness at the time of intercourse, determine what kind of soul will enter the womb, because only that type of consciousness, that kind of soul will be attracted to seek that womb which fits with the center closest to the minds of the father and mother during the intercourse. If two individuals who have gone deep into meditation make love not with the desire for sexual pleasure, but as an experiment in giving birth to a soul – they can make use of the highest possible chakras for that purpose.
This is the reason why the higher souls have to wait for a long time – because they need a womb of a higher quality, which is very difficult to find. Hence, many good souls cannot take birth again for hundreds of years. The same is the case with many of the evil souls. The ordinary souls are born right away. They take birth instantly, without any difficulty, because many suitable wombs are available to them every day. About one hundred and eighty thousand births take place every day, excluding the number of people dying. Every day about two hundred thousand souls can enter as many wombs – but this applies only to the ordinary souls.
Many souls, who after great difficulty were born on this earth, have been forced to take birth on other planets. The earth became incapable of giving them birth again. This is the same as if a scientist born in India were to find a suitable job in America. He would be born on our soil, we would provide him with food and water, care and nourishment, but not a single living opportunity befitting his background and training. Obviously, he is forced to seek a position in America.
Today, most of the scientists from all different parts of the world have settled down in America. This is bound to be so. In the same manner, although we help souls evolve on this earth we do not make available a suitable womb for their next birth. Naturally, they are forced to seek opportunities for birth on other planets." - Rajneesh Osho                                                                                                                                                                I know many people don't like Osho but he was something special. So here he states "All the chakras are doors for entrance as well as for exit. The soul will use the same door for entering another body which it used for exiting the dying body. The soul will enter the new cell in a mother’s womb through the same door from which it came out at the previous death – that’s the only door it knows.
Therefore, the mental condition of the father and the mother, as well as their state of consciousness at the time of intercourse, determine what kind of soul will enter the womb, because only that type of consciousness, that kind of soul will be attracted to seek that womb which fits with the center closest to the minds of the father and mother during the intercourse."           Guru Gobind Singh Ji was conceived in Agya Chakra(Triveni) then took birth in Patna Sahib. In Guru Gobind Singh Ji writing it says Guru Tegh Bahadur his father went to many places of pilgrimage before reaching Triveni where Guru Gobind Singh Ji was conceived. The places of pilgrimage were not outward physical places it's referring to Guru Tegh Bahadurs inward spiritual journey. It was talking about his internal pilgrimmage from naabhi to trikuti. The physical place said to be Hemkunt is not true. The real Hemkunt is a place within us that we can see, experience and meditate at once we reach a certain stage. This confusion is similar to "Amritsar". Many Sikhs think Amritsar refers to the physical Golden Temple but the spiritual ones know what it truly refers to.

Those were the last set of questions.
Clearing up Misconceptions about Agya Chakra meditation
I'll tell you why I am asking such questions. I believe that it is not because of meditating on Agya chakra too early that you got a headache and such. And it's not an imbalance in the pavan.
It's because your muscles in your face, your jaw muscles and maybe even your neck muscles are tightening up during your meditations on the agya chakra.
I used to meditate on the agya chakra a lot and I would feel a pressure in my head between my eyes. My eyes were not straining but I felt a pressure. I thought "cool! my third eye chakra is activating". thus for many years I mistook the pressure in the forehead as the third eye chakra activating. Now the pressure is in the same region as the third eye however when a chakra is working properly you should ideally feel nothing. It is when the chakra is not working properly do you ever feel the chakra.
One day I accidentally noticed that if I loosen my jaw everytime there is pressure in the sinus region, then the pressure will go away. I thought it was just a conincidence at first. But everytime I got pressure in that region, I just loosened my jaw and it would go away. Evertime.

    Muscle Tightness causes Pressure
Tightness in the jaw can cause such pressure when you are meditating. It's either the jaw or other muscles in the face that become tight and they cause that pressure feeling.
Sinus infection can also cause such pressure it but I didn't have that and if you don't then it is this tightness and tension in the face that is causing the pressure.
Btw do you see why you would find it difficult to breath and get a headache if some of the muscles in your face, jaw and neck are tight?
It is important to loosen all these muscles by proper stretching (yes you can stretch and loosen your jaw muscle). I think while meditating we tend to strain our facial muscles, by putting in effort into the dhyan. Some people even up straining their eye muscles.
Your eyes should be relaxed and still while you meditate. The movement of your eyes is unimportant what matters is where your attention is, what matters is where you are concentrating.

How do you know where you dhyan/attention is?
You should not need to do this.
You should not strain your eye muscles ever. That can cause problems. Keep your eyes relaxed and still, and if they get tense then loosen them up by rolling your eyeballs around and stretching all the muscles.
Stop looking with your eyes, instead try to develop an awareness of your entire body, of each limb, each area of the torso where we describe the chakras to be, each finger, etc, without physically looking there.
You know the shape of your body and you should be able to tell where you are focusing in on the body. meditating on the body is whole different field of meditation. However for naam japna, just do a basic body scan, and become aware of the shape of the body and then go back to focusing on the mantra.
That's only if you want to focus on a body part while naam japna. This is not a requirement. Naam japna can be done with full concentration in the dhwani, the vibration of it.
    Other variations include -
    - Becoming aware of the sound vibration as it vibrates in the body.
    - Chanting with others and focusing on the entire dhwani/vibration generated by everyone instead of just your own.

How do you know if you are meditating on a chakra?
There are many ways of meditating on chakra. But what I consider the highest meditation, mastery level, is to dwell in the region of the chakra.
To be able to move the locus of your awareness to those regions.

What is a locus of awareness? locus of consciousness?
It is the seat of consciousness in the body. The default position for it is in the head, in the agya chakra.
When you are able to concentrate well enough, you can move this seat into your belly, your heart, your feet, etc. Then it will seem as if you are located in your belly and your head is above you.
You can even move this locus of awareness above your head, and outside of the body. When you do that then it is known as an Out of Body Experience.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji maharaj gave us naam simran which utilizes mantra, dhyan and pranayam. It is extremely powerful with all that combined. First my grandpa taught me everything is within the body. You should learn to properly breathe from your diaphragm if you don't know how. Stay conscious of yourself properly breathing from the diaphragm throughout the day. To see if you breathe properly take a deep breath. If you breathe properly your shoulders should not have gone up only the belly should expand and contract. <---- this is just proper breathing to always keep you relaxed. Now on to the meditation part. Realize your journey is from naabhi to trikuti. First month I sat down with my dhyan on the naabhi to train my dhyan. The middle of my chest where the heart is and God resides is another place I really enjoyed putting my dhyan like when I would fall asleep. Once your dhyan is trained then nothing can distract your mind. Many people complain that they cannot focus but that is due to their dhyan not being properly trained. Most people don't know how to properly enter the Naabhi. To enter the Naabhi put your dhyan at the bottom of your belly button and keep it there. If you put your finger straight in your belly button it would be the area the bottom of your finger touches. Do this for 15 minutes per day for a month. Soon your dhyan will become so powerful you immediately go into a extremely relaxed state perfect for naam japna the moment you put your dhyan at the naabhi. Pranayama will happen naturally with mantra you just need to re-wire your mind backwards. Naturally navel goes out when you say Vahe and in with Guru but you need to change to Vahe gentle natural pull navel in a bit and Guru it goes out. You will notice then you won't get tired either. Everytime you sit down for naam japna. First you stabilize your sit bones into a comfortable position. Then you start with putting Dhyan at the bottom of the belly button for 5 minutes while staying silent then you start the naam japna out loud Vahe-Guru, Vahe-Guru. After about 5 minutes of jaap bring your dhyan from bottom of the belly button to your mouth while continuing jaap. You will know your dhyan is at the right place because if you open your eyes you will be looking directly at your nose when your dhyan is on your mukh. "Dhun me dhiaan, Dhiaan mai jaaneya gurmukh akath kahanee." just keep your dhyan on the dhun of Vahe-Guru then. Get the book "Sikhism & Spirituality" by Rabinder Singh Bhamra. Depending on how much effort you put in that'll dictate how long it takes for the Kundalini shakti to awaken in the Naabhi and for person to reach Naam. Takes couple months usually. The method I have told you about will take you all the way. You don't need any other jugti. It's a process of awakening there are no secrets if you put in the work you get the result just like anything else in life. It's good to find some sangat to do it with.

    GGGS - Page 324
If someone could save himself by celibacy, O Siblings of Destiny,
why then haven't eunuchs obtained the state of supreme dignity?
Says Kabeer, listen, O men, O Siblings of Destiny:
without the Lord's Name, who has ever found salvation? ||4||4||
Guru Granth Sahib rejects Celibacy. No Sikh Gurus followed the path of Celibacy then why should Sikhs?

    Why only Celibates?
Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj was not a celibate when he first prepared Khande Di Pohol. If Guruji would want their Sikhs to follow celibacy, he himself would have practised it first. But No, he didn't, neither any Sikh Gurus.
Panj Pyare were not celibates & No Sikh Gurus followed the path of Celibacy. Please read their history properly.

I know @paapiman, many of the Nanaksari Maryada enthusiast, including you, would find problem digesting this  & will start portraying me as anti-Brahmgyanis, anti-Gurmat etc etc, but its hard to expect any logical reasons from them.
