Imo there are alot of fakes out there.  However there are legit ones.  However for a gurmukh, karams are always influx due to bhagti, always changing.  What they tell you one year, can be different the next, just like the lines on the hands change with raising consciousness/awareness.   Best not to worry about the past/future :)

Why are you looking down on people who want to meditate or do bhagti ?
Shakti only comes after your are perfect in Bhagti.  Not the other way around.
Sant Jarnail Singh was a true  khalsa. He meditated on Japji Sahib.

When we think about the task as being laborious and hard, then we will never begin it. Half the problem lies with beginning it.
How to convince yourself to start it then?
Trick your mind and say you will sit just for 5 minutes. After your five minutes - extend your time. Keep extending it.
Think in terms of negative i.e . if I dont start doing it, I will never do it... that would be terrible and add to that list. Therefore get motivated to start doing it.
The best thing is routine. If you commit yourself to wake up... start like at 6 ... then keep adding some minutes or try to wake up 15 minutes earlier each day. Winter is a problem. However you need to keep checking on your thoughts and re-editing them in your mind.
I am going to feel cold when I get up. i feel bored and sleepy when at my task. Try to get a solution and fast. That means tomorrow I will use my warmest blanket. Tomorrow I will sleep early. A rested body performs better and is more ready to get started at tasks. Make the task interesting by reading some topic on it and motivating yourself. So and so did it - so can I. Have a vision in your mind and keep going through it over and over again.
Still cant do it - get a friend to send you a text asking you to do it.
Never debate - should I do it or not. That kills willpower and tires you. Get down to doing it or just put it aside until you get further motivation.
Keep your favourite shabads  both written and verbally recorded at hand so that you can keep yourself in high spirits and positive thoughts occupy you. Hum your tunes and repeat them over and over and think about the meaning. You will be relaxed and motivated too.
Kirtan, even if a bit of it works good after path. Reward yourself with your favourite shabad after you have accomplished your goal of lets say X hours or minutes of simran.
Think of your task as so tiny i.e. just 3 hours simran in a 24 hour day period. It seems silly to miss it. As kabir Ji says use the mind to fight the mind.

Bro, try to go to a Gurudwara and listen to Kirtan (also sing along) at Amritvela. That might help you. Those positive vibes will possibly encourage your mind to do more bhagti. Doing bhagti in sangat is relatively easier than doing it alone at home for Jagayasus.
Nanaksar Gurudwara (the one near Mclauglin Rd) is amazing, especially when certain Singhs (who seem to be of high avastha) do Kirtan.

do ardaas to vaheguru. If he wishes so he can make u follow the path of gurmat. If he wishes so he can make u get caught up in the jaal of Maya. Nothing is in our hands we r mere puppets. The 5 dhoots r under his control. He is the protector who protects his deevotees on his own will. Do paath for the love of god. This love that makes u do sava lakh jaap of mool mantr. This is the love that makes you walk to darbar sahib with your head in your hand. Expect nothing in return just accept what the lord gives whether it be death of a dear one or unlimited riches it's all part of the game.

Demons and angels are very much at work actively all the time, though we cannot see them. The book Delivered from the powers of darkness highlights some of their activities. They are invisible forces as this articles points out the differences between them. Angels and demons have the same powers but they use them for a different purpose. This is why it is important that we always say our prayers and utter Waheguru in times of difficulty for divine help.

A person who commits the most sinful acts continuously in this life like murder etc... will be given the capacity to become a pret (ghost) in his next life and keep on influencing wrong behaviours.
    Demons are different to ghosts.

There was a time when there were no demons in the world i.e satyug. The following article explains the timescales of the yugs.

There is a sakhi (can someone please confirm it), where Vishnu jee defeats and then throws all the demons out of this planet earth. Shukaracharya (the guru of Demons) tells Vishnu jee that the humans, whom who are protecting, will commit worse deeds than demons in Kaljug.

With due respect, it depends on your tradition. Those who worship Ganesh, consider Him Parmatama Akal Purakh, and everyone else as a lesser entity. Similarly, those who worship Mahakaal, consider Him Parmatma Akal Purakh, and everyone else as a lesser entity. And so on. It's funny how that works.

With all due respect i would quote Guru Gobindsingh ji Maharaj's bani :

Main na Ganesah Pritham manau, Kishan Bishan kabahu naahe Dhiyau.
Kaan Sunhe Pehchaan na tin so, livv laagi mori pag inso,

I do not adore Ganesha in the beginning and also do not meditate on Krishna and Vishnu; I have only heard about them with my ears and I do not recognize them; my consciousness is absorbed at the feet of the Supreme Lord.434.

We respect all avatar however our concentration is on the Supreme Being ..The Parmatma Akaal Purakh.

That sounds good. Keep going. It seems your getting very close to full rom rom jap. This will be felt in auto mode all over and everywhere in your body.
It may be a good idea to occasionally practice with dhyian on navel as well as dhun, rising upwards to heart. Becomes easier when it automatically synchronises. Once you maximize the energy flow here, then sukhmana channel begins to open up.
NOTE- if your sensation settles on the physical heart towards the left of your chest, then try and bring it central. This is where the spiritual hirda is in terms of chakra.

It's a real feeling that you actually feel the warmth and protection of Waheguru. Almost as if you are sat in his lap like a child and you have the view of just seeing mankind as creation regardless of age, color, creed and religion.
I know it's indescribable, but I remember that it redefined words like Hukam and fearless for me. I actually began to really understand a small fraction of the Gurus steps when they walked in hukam to shaheedis. Have a look at this fantastic painting by our own @BhagatSingh. Look carefully at an enlarged version and just try and absorb it calmly whilst at the same time sinking into it. . You may sense some strong components of joy, love and protection. A  feel of being untouchable, almost as if saying "bring it on".    I have to compliment Bhagat once again for the Lord's kirpa and blessings which has enabled him to paint such precious art.

Totally see what you are saying here. It's almost as if it's  just you(the witness) and a single God in and around everything.
I think this is one of the keys when it comes to merging with Waheguru to the max. You start to feel that the line we created separating God and maya begins to disappear. It seems that the duality starts to dissolve and instead of assuming that you had to separate from maya, you begin to learn that there was no maya and it is all HIM.

I think I know what you mean.

This love is a very powerful thing. When this mindset lasts for a few days, a lot of extraordinary things begin to happen. ie even as of now, just cherishing each breath is very intoxicating. It's a feeling that cannot be described, its as if the entire body is tasting some sort of "sweetness". When just closing the eyes and sitting in silence - it feels as if energy is just radiating through every part of the body. The vibrations arise but with the breath, another type of tingling sensation arises as well. It's very hard to describe.

It's a very selfless love where there is no desire to receive. But you know this energy will continue to build the more you express this emotion of love. Experiences come and go just like thoughts (and thoughts come and go just like clouds in the sky). No desire to associate with anything. Everything just is as it is. There is a desire to express nothing but love even to the people who I've had bad experiences with.

Within the mind, everything begins to drop. Every idea of identity, religion, relationship and attachment begins to fade. The world is seen through the eyes of a witness or perceiver (if those words are appropriate). The mind literally feels like its dissolving.

    Go for it kid!!
You are experiencing some of the very many changes that occur in your normal day.  You will hopefully get to realise that "anand" has a very different meaning to what most people assume.  The only reason I can say is, Waheguru is showering you with the many blessings.
Just last night I was talking to my wife about how I want to go back and experience that avastha experience and mind-set again! It lasted for months and starts with shorter periods of few days first few times.
My advice is too stay quiet whilst watching and observing all around you.  You should begin to find many answers of truth coming your way and and also many signals and hints for any decisions you may need to make.  Before you can see the brahm jyot in everyone and everything, Gobind makes you aware that he is working in every single living thing and object around you!

Yogi bhajan spoke a lot about this... he said something like  i dont want you to open it, its already open, you day-dream you fantisize, i want to close it, focus it inward. he also said waheguru mantra is a trikuti mantra (agya chakra). My limited experience and education showed me its seeing beyond duality, seeing your true self beyond labels to see the truth. Bhagti trumps all yogic practices, it gets rid of the spiritual traps or hang ups, just attaching to maharaj gives you all yogic benefit and power. Using intuition, being able to navigate from the soul rather than ego, agya chakra can compute the dualities and see the truth in it...
upper and lower chakras sort of reflect each other in a way so 3rd eye and second chakra reflect 2nd the theme is "who am i" but its more of an egoic identity, 3rd eye theme is "who am i REALLY"
hopefully this helps a tiny bit at least.

This is to add to the vibrations - as of last night, it's begun to happen in my heart. I was just observing my breath last night and it synchronized with my in and out breath. Feels very pleasant.

Lately I've learnt that a huge booster is the ability to express positive emotions. The more loving and compassionate you become as a person, the more fruitful your meditation becomes.

tva prasad reacted to nehkewal in 10 days meditation retreat
Finished 10 days Vipasna meditation - was the most profound spiritual experience of my life - almost reborn. Vipasna is a scientific way to live joyfully and happily regardless of your worldly circumstances and make others around you happy as well while helping you overcome the endless cycle of rebirths.
    Things I learnt
    1. Nothing ever goes wrong - nothing has ever gone wrong and nothing ever will , therefore never regret your past or be in dilemma for the future - any choice you make will be the right choice . The forces of nature that run the planet are beyond human intelligence and nothing ever happens randomly. The fact that you are the doer/decision maker is an illusion which causes immense suffering to yourself and others around you.
Hukmai andar sabko bahar hukam na koye ||

    2. Everything is impermanent - whatever good or bad times you are having will not last , so experience them as a witness rather than a consumer for example if you are feeling angry - say to yourself the reality of the moment is that my body is experiencing anger - watch your breath , heart rate etc .Or If you are having financial or health problems - say to yourself this will pass too , and same goes for good times , make the most of them while they are coz they would be gone too.
Kis nal keejai dosti sab jag chalanhar ||

    3. Illusion of eternity - unfortunately we are conditioned to live our life as immortals - if I look back my 40 years of life seem like 40 seconds and I am not sure how many more 'seconds' are left , so why associate with this body and obsess with its future. Every new year take a moment to ponder about the last new year eve and it will seem like only yesterday.

    4. Hate no one - Just as you are not the doer, so are not the other people which means if someone said or did something unfair to you , that action was caused by a force that is beyond this person's control so no point holding them responsible and causing yourself hatred and anger.
Manda kis noo aakhiye je dooja hoye
    5. Others before self - It brings way more joy to give something you cherish to someone who is in dire need than keeping it to yourself. I have decided to dedicate my life for the welfare of others. This automatically makes the 'I' in my very petty as its now just an end to a mean while before it meant the world to me.
     Mithya tan nahi parupkaari
    6. Life obsessed with 'making it' is sure to bring misery - I am myself implicated in this as my attempts to becoming a software entrepreneur was causing me - lack of sleep , stress , excessive thinking - limit your material needs and you will find how little it takes to be happy.
    Kacha dhan sanchai murakh gavar
Bikhyia ka dhan sada dukh hoye | Na saath jaaye na paraapat hoye.
    7. Spend time in nature - watch the birds fly , feel the breeze on your body this is where you came from and what you will eventually merge into - feel the perfection in the apparent randomness .  "Kudrat hai keemat nahi paaye "
    8. Treat every day as your last - first thing when you get up in morning say to yourself with conviction this might very well be the last day of my life - I must make the most of it for myself and do something good for others .
