Guru Nanak did not reject anyone. They all simply failed the tests that Guru Ji set, except one person.

There you will get your answer to

That was kind of petty of Ranjit to call Harnaam that, but still, nothing that's happened warranted a f***ing execution.
    This is straight pendu backwardness.

So basically its Harnam Singh & his followers who were behind this. They accepted it in open.

wow I never thought people could kill each other over war of words.  This will be the decline for Harnam Singh.
And the youth who did this wasted their lives for nothing.
This only reminds me of pendu rivalries where people would get killed for no reason.

watch from 37:40.   Interesting conversation unfolds.  Psychic could not get through Sant Ji but when Sant Ji gave a hint about her past at age 13 she was really impressed  her body language & receptivity towards Sant Ji changed. On the other hand swami got flustered and anxious. What was more amazing was how sant ji hid his psychic/supernatural powers throughout the whole morcha & mission. He just pretended to be a normal person & go through the whole play untouched.  Head bows down to the kamai of such a great Personality.  Waheguru!!!

Baba Mohinder Partap Singh ji may fit the bill. He is a mastana mahapursh residing at Guru Nanak Ashram in Patiala. I think few people know about him outside of his area.

Way to control the mind is to realise everyone everything and everywhere as na roop na rang na rekh.

When you realise all to be Him, you let go of all imagery hence thoughts as all is just Him in no form.
Even with your eyes open, doing this is nirboah and nirvair, you are fearless and all loving because all is Him.

I think the biggest problem is "us". When things like this happen we should be knocking on the door of the pradhaan and committee members , bombarding them with letters, petitions demanding an answer from them,, putting them on the spot. If they know the sangat will be on their backs if things like this happen , i'm sure they'll think twice.

    Good stuff Sat.
I think that this guy came here some time last year and I recall my Kundalini instructor mentioning a few things.
These guys have a lot more spiritual information than fellow Sikhs imagine. I have learned some incredible wisdom and encouraging knowledge from Yoga teachers. Sometimes just a few simple explanations and reasons seem to fit so well with what Gurbani says. It often results with understanding and seeing gurbani at more deeper and informative levels when experience and practice can be applied directly.

Glad you got some doubts cleared up Sat, because doubts are a huge hindrance on the spiritual path.

Yogi Amandeep Singh is a very down to earth humble guy. I had the privilege of having a short chat with him today about my simran experiences to date and he was able to confirm that the experiences were normal and encountered on the path within. He was also able to clear up some questions and doubts I was having especially with regards to anhad sounds and the views expressed by him were very encouraging indeed.

    1. Any state of consciousness has associated with it a sense of satisfaction.
    2. One must let go of that satisfaction derived from that state of consciousness.

My mind yearns for the vision of Hari, the way a man without water, yearns for a drink of cool water.
This lady is already doing great. Everyone should learn from her and develop a desire for his darshan.
A lot of people after 40 years would have lost this desire and sunk into a lower state.

there is No hate there is ONLY TRUTH and LOVE, Love for ONE.
ALL the hate, the love for others(that you think!) are products of the MIND. When you truly and very truly Love GOD and the One Truth, then you will never know or experience Hate.
Love for Prabh comes first. Even the significance of Anand Karaj is the love for prabh and the stages for union with this Love.

SAadmin reacted to Lucky in ASTRAL TRAVEL AND SIKHISM
You guys are getting mixed up with what you read about astral travel.
There are a few different events that are often coined under the same banner.
Firstly, in Simran, and in advanced stages of simran, you can experience "consciousness expansion" this is being fully conscious of exactly where you are physically and at the same time your consciousness can also be in full awareness some place millions of miles away!  This means you don't exactly "exit' your body or anything and leave it behind, but you can be fully conscious in 2 places at once.  A member or two on here has experienced this whilst meditating and you really won't ever understand it unless it's experienced.
Secondly, In simran/as per gurmat /gurbani. ...the object is to CLOSE the 9 doors(naun darwajey) and meet our One Prabh. This is ONLY by "Har Har Naam dhyiaana"  . Now, I can't say no more, because I don't know if 9 doors close and soul exits dasam duar to have darshan OR if the darshan occur whilst in a state of consciousness expansion. However, I do feel that it is probably the former and in that sense, I believe that our interest as per gurbani, should only be on astral event of closing naun darwajey and opening the dasam.
As per the most common explanations of astral travel, which involves atma (inner soul) exiting body via some route or method; Sikh abyaasee is only interested in leaving the body via dasam duar, because that is the only direct portal to waheguru. Leaving by any other of the 9 doors keeps you in the lower realms.

I think its good to have a list of katha topics if one wishes to know more about a certain subject. If people dont like it they are free to click on the other topics instead. No one has been forced to click the katha topics nor press the links.

There you go. I can confirm.
Also it's important for the body to become slow as well. One I thing I do is deliberately slow down my breath, my body movement, and become extremely focused on the slow movement of the body.
When the body slows, it slows the mind, which is attached to the body.
