" The following excepts are from is from Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji's Diary:
Types of Naam: There are 2 types of Naam:
Japa (Varan Atmak Bani/Naam): It is the Outer Sound Principle. It is also known as the language of the Pranas or the vital airs for it depends on different types of vibrations in the air. All these types of Japas give solace of varying degrees and one gets peace of mind of a temporary nature only, because the various bodily chakra involved in them are of a lower order, situated below Third Eye. Varn-Atmak words pave the way to Dhun-Atmak Shabd and are thus essential aids in stilling the mind of oscillations, purging it of all impurities and rendering it capable of apprehending the Dhun-Atmak current within. The Varn-Atmak words may and do differ because of lingual differences, but the Dhun-Atmak Shabd being the Life-Principle of the spirit or soul is the same throughout. It can be further sub-divided into 4 subdivisions: Baikhri: These are labial sounds or sounds which are uttered with the aid of tongue and lips. It is when God's Name is recited with tongue and lips. It is the first technique and holds 1 unit in power. Madhma: These are guttural sounds which are produced in the throat or at the back or root of the tongue and palate. It is when God's Name is recited within the throat but without the use of tongue. This is 10 times the power of Baikhri. Pashyanti: These are sounds which originate from the heart center. It is when God's Name is recited within the heart but without the use of tongue. This is 100 times the power of Baikhri. Para: These are sounds which arise through vibrations from the navel center. It is when God's Name is recited within the navel but without the use of tongue. This is 1000 times the power of Baikhri. Ajapa (Dhun Atmak Bani/Naam): This is the Eternal Sound Current reverberating endlessly in every living thing. It is an Unwritten Law and an Unspoken Language. It becomes audible, however, when a spirit rises above body-consciousness. Here one has just to listen to the all-pervading Naam or Shabd. As this Sound cannot be expressed in any symbolic form, it is expressionless. It may be contacted above the sensory plane, behind the centre of the two eyebrows. Here one starts hearing Anhad Shabad. It generally referred to as Naam down to Trikuti; and below Daswan Dwar, where the causal region extends, It is called the Trigun Bani, or Sound within the regions of the three gunas. It is also described as Brahm Janjalla, the network of Brahm, the God of creation. This Trigun Bani or Brahm Janjalla is still within the domain of Kal or Dissolution and hence must disintegrate. HE is beyond Japa, Ajapa, and Anhad." Blessings to everyone.
I am writing this today in a bit of shock and disbelieve but at the same time a lot of peace and satisfaction.
These past few weeks/months had been a bit of a rough sail for me. I had lost a lot of faith in spiritual teachers. I had been hearing and seeing a lot of drama that didn't sit well with me. So part of me fell off the boat a bit. I was still listening to shabad and looking at parkash. But I wasn't putting effort in to try and move further. I was sitting still.
Something even worse happened in my personal life a few days ago. A very subtle but very strong attachment got pulled away from me. An attachment I didn't realize was there but was really consuming my mind. I'm not going to lie, I lost my stability. I was upset. Angry. Lost. Confused. And it had been a very long time since I experienced a pain that made me upset like that.
I began isolating myself and really letting my mind be consumed by shabad and parkash because I knew that was the only way out of the trap I had fallen into. I had to work extremely hard. But just now I was laying on the floor looking at parkash internally. I opened my eyes to look at the parkash that exists externally. Mind was clear, no thoughts. And I had a realization. "This parkash exists both outside and inside... Are my physical eyes the one seeing them?..... And then all of a sudden I felt this third area of space. A place that wasn't the internal body, nor the external world. It was this place in the middle. I think it was beyond the mind or some extension of the mind. And sitting in that space there was just parkash. It was like looking at a new world with a new set of eyes. The best way I can describe this is by using the term "non-physical" eyes.
It's as if the parkash outside and inside had become one. I cannot describe the amount of peace and contentment the mind and body feels sitting in that area. I don't know if it's correct for me to stay in that space. But I just wanted to write this out with the hopes that maybe someone knows what this is.

Great thanks for clarifying, the anhad are on and off so the mind needs more cleansing which is hard as everyone is home and  we get disturbed( my daughter is ahead of me as she zones out and sees twinkles floating then hears bells. )I just get a weird sensation where my body feels really relaxed then I fall asleep , but it’s relaxing and my head vibrates. I guess we need more gurmantar abhayas.

Just facetimed nephew, he looked good. Maharaj's kirpa naal he's started going back to work. So if you get it, it's no guarantee that you'll be 'brown bread'.

If your doing simran slowly and elongated (with slow long breathing) then sehaj avasta will naturally come as mind stills. Personally I don't think it's a bad thing. Lets say your doing you jaap during the day and you have had a good nights sleep then this is a very good stage. If your lacking sleep then it can also be a natural body response. If once in sehaj there are no dreams and thought, then that is also very good. If your falling into dreams then not so good.
Ideally one need to start hearing anhad shabads in this sunn/sehaj state. This can take time to manifest. In one katha I heard you have to repeatedly keep pushing the mind into this state and eventually the mind begins to awaken within.
When in the stage of no thoughts whether conscious or unconscious two jahaj's take off from that place. One is that of anhad shabad, and the second is that of falling into dreams and into thoughts and visions. You want to take the jahaj that is naam and keep surti attached to that with no thoughts.
If you want to stay awake you will need to do jaap with determination, josh and more faster pace.
I took these notes from Gurmat Meditation youtube channel about how to go to sleep with simran and continue bhagti throughout the night. Maybe it will offer you some guidance.
1.Elongate waaaahe guuuuru jap and listen to dhun. This should help stop thoughts
2.Listen to sehaj dhun if you can hear dhun and fall asleep
3.You will enter deep sleep without dreams
4.Then after some time you will come back for a short moment. Maybe to change sides. Don’t open eyes. Repeat gurmantar with surti or listen to anhad shabad or start gurmantar again.
    5.You will fall asleep again.
    6.Then you will awake again.
    7.Listen to anhad or simran
    8.5 shabads will start
9.Anhad Toor (very loud) may come as combined sounds or like loud horn being blown
10.Put dhyan (listen) on Toor if possible after which Parkash may manifest
11.Put dhyan (look) on Parkash (Transparent glistening light - Nirankar)

    I came across this online:

    Katha Shaheed Singhs

One day Kalgidhar [Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji] was sitting with his faithful [Sidhki] Sikhs.

[Piara] Mohkam Singh, [Piara] Daya Singh and the content [Piara] Himmat Singh were also present

At that moment all three of them folded their hands and made the following supplication,
ohs samme tinna ne apne apne hath jodde te satguraan nu eh vinamr benti keeti,

    'ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹਮੈ ਬਤਾਈਐ, ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਅਨੁਜਾਨੀ ॥੪॥
"Oh Guru Ji, please enlighten us on a topic we have no knowledge of. [4]
Satguru ji kirpa kar ke saanu ehs vishe te gyaan baksho, jide vare asi anjaan haan,

What is their limit? What is their code of conduct? What is their power?

You are the knower of all this knowledge, for this reason we have come to you for answers."[5]

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji laughed after hearing this question and said the following,
eh sawal sun ke pehla ta maharaj ji hass paye, fir shromani mukh chon eh bole,

    'ਗੁਪਤ ਹੁਤੀ ਬੂਝੀ ਤੁਮਹੁ, ਕਹਿਬੋ ਬਨਿ ਆਯੋ ।

Near the end, Sant Jarnail Singh Ji says that we only praise the one who has slaughtered a dusht, not an innocent being. Baba ji was of the highest avastha possible in a manukha dehi, a puran purakh, jeevan mukht individual. So when he says in another speech that every village should keep one motorcycle and the youth should take an oath to execute the wicked, then we shouldn't doubt his bachan. War is very dear to Akal Purakh as they say.

watch from 37:40.   Interesting conversation unfolds.  Psychic could not get through Sant Ji but when Sant Ji gave a hint about her past at age 13 she was really impressed  her body language & receptivity towards Sant Ji changed. On the other hand swami got flustered and anxious. What was more amazing was how sant ji hid his psychic/supernatural powers throughout the whole morcha & mission. He just pretended to be a normal person & go through the whole play untouched.  Head bows down to the kamai of such a great Personality.  Waheguru!!!

MySimran.info few years ago had loads of akath katha videos on their YouTube channel. For some unbeknown reason they took them all down.
Sajjan_Thug found a few on the vimeo site and posted a link here.
Within 1 month they have taken these down also. They must have seen the post.

The diet above had changed very little up to my parents time. Interesting.
Also note how by going to work without eating breakfast the people were actually doing what we call 'intermittent fasting' today - which is all the rage with people who train.

Practice. Massive amounts of practice. At one point in my life where I was reciting Japji Sahib ten times daily, I could recite Japji Sahib in about four minutes. Neither tongue nor throat moved. It was pure thought. I was told abhiyaasi Gursikhs could recite Japji Sahib in 2 minutes and I was trying to emulate them. Sadly I could never achieve it.

Please listen to Gyani Inderjeet Singh Raqbewale narrating an anecdote from the life of Sriman Baba Roop Chand jee (Famous Sikh of Sixth Master). Baba jee was confronted by an army and asked to hand over a basket of rotis to them. This sakhi will illustrate the power of a Gurmukh Brahamgyani and the application of Ridhi, which is the power to reproduce unlimited quantities of food from a small supply.

I can imagine Dhunda,Ghagga,Raagi,Dhadri in their white lab coats working under the Missionary College busy assembling a new generation of staged thermonuclear weapons to be mounted on a hypersonic missile.

yes, I would assume grinding it dry, any moisture will cause mold.
Also, all kesar that we can get in the store is "dried" in that there is no moisture left in the flower because if there were it would not grind dry.
