Lucky got a reaction from tva prasad in What kind of shower to take after workout ? Hot or Cold
    Both.
As you are aware, heat causes vasodilation and cold causes vasoconstriction.
After a workout, muscles are tighter, pumped and have gone through a series of contractions.  A series of events unfold from these contractions which leads to many chemicals being produced and especially lactic acid.    I have had it explained to me as if to think of the internal blood muscle differently to  the blood that bathes the external muscle. Therefore, the internal part of the muscle draws in as much blood and nurtrients for the contractions, but it can end up pooling in there and causing stiffness later on.   In effect, the blood bathing the external  body of muscle will be less mobile and of a lower volume.  This is why your biceps end up looking and feeling pumped after workout.  ...with all this in mind, it makes sense to get some vasodilation to prevent stiffness and cramps... so you would use "heat".  However, too much dilation can lead to more loss of sweat and salts, so many people recommend to do a quick switch to cold and get the vasoconstriction. This way none of your body parts will be deprived of any nutrients and you will feel stimulated and more alive.  But the biggest reason for me to do this hot-cold is because it is activates and energizes your subtle-etheric body and helps get your prana flowing. Remember that prana/chi is not air/oxygen, but it is the sukham life-force. You will also understand why many Sikhs recommend a cold shower at amrit vela. I believe you get the same effect if you have a warm shower and then in the last minute or so turn the dial to cooler and colder. I usually get out of the shower after being exposed to it's coldest setting for the last 30 seconds or to the point where I get the shift in my breathing pattern.

excellent! ....this uncle's more than genuine.. what he's describing seems like full  'rom rom' activation. With rom rom it is important to focus on nabhi and get sukhmana activated upwards, but he's nabhi activation must have been real powerful because it's gone both downwards to feet and up towards head. It is recommended that you don't try going downwards because many abyasees have got stuck at the mooldhar,  .. but what he's described is "perfection"

Todays Simran Session Uncle Ji was describing a inner experience.
During the Jaap, putting focus on Nabhi, and then feeling a surge of electricity from feet to top of head, feeling the light inside from bottom to top, & then the body gets masti,
firstly, the masti is focused in the body as well, but later on this masti expands, and you feel part of surroundings & further expansion into universe
Live Simran session everyday till 27 Feb, 4:3--5:30 am, 7-8 pm , check it out, tune in with the vibrations of thousands.   link in the first post

Lucky got a reaction from GurpreetKaur in Vibrating
Vibrations are a natural process towards good cultivation. ...You see, the smaller microcosmic channels have to first align and open up before the major meridians  and central sukhmana.
It is all the same thing as in Taoism, Buddhist meditation, Tibetan, india yoga....etc.....they call them the meridians,...the chi....the nadis  These processes all lead to the beginning of kundalini awakening before the longer process of it rising will start.
All the microcosmic channels/nadis that are opening and activating will be where 'rom rom'  can be manifest further on.
In gurmat , we don't worry about the visualization or pranayama  techniques because Guruji has given us the gurmantar shabad to take us through all these.
Therefore, it is important to NOT let the vibrations distract you from gurmantar jap. ...If they arise, just acknowledge and continue with jap.
Some people feel them quite a bit in the palms, upper neck and chest areas, ..whereas others don't feel too much at all. ..Everyone is different according to where they are internally aligned and balanced.
I've been told that anything above navel area is good, because it paves the way for sukhmana nadi.
Just continue with jap and the vibrations will just take care of themselves............Personally, I only ever felt a few and just let them subside but the dominant ones have usually been  navel, throat, 3rd eye, and the heat/sweats along the back.

This is so true. I can never fall asleep in Shav Asana, I usuallyhave to lie down on my side to fall asleep.
Another thing that I have noticed myself is whenever I am falling asleep or waking up in the middle of sleep or feeling drowsy or sleepy then mind wants to do waheguru jaap, wahe with breath in and breath out...also i feel closer to reality when i am sleepy like as if equating my sleep to death so during my sleepy state i feel more separate from the world and closer to something else...i think this is a good habit which has developed without me knowing...does it make sense to you guys?
I think everyone should do waheguru jaap esp when they are falling asleep in whatever position they are lying...waheguru is an easy mantra to do , however i cannot do a long mool mantra when falling asleep....also during bad health states such as extreme nausea due to motion sickness in airplanes i would try to hold on to waheguru mantra for mental support lol...short mantra comes in handy many times and does not cause mental stress or headache.

You are right they don't. Scientists have been holding back science themselves. When they say science, they mean materialistic science. When I say scientists, I mean materialistic scientists. There are plenty of others, who are looking at spiritual phenomenon via scientific methods.
In our culture Yog is a science. The hypothesis is "yog chit vrti nirodh, tda drisht swaroopev sthanam" that through reducing distraction we can merge with our mool swaroop, and gain insights into reality. The experiment is to meditate and draw your conclusions via personal experimentation.

The OP's question was about oral sex...... To answer this from my understanding, I can say that oral sex has nothing to do with sikhi. Sikhi doesn't say you can or you can't, it doesn't ban fellatio or cunninglingus, or state whether one swallows or spits!...... oral engagement is an intimate sexual encounter between a couple as any other act would be considered. In sikhi, one only exhibits this behaviour with ONE lifelong spouse...  I'm not sure exactly what the op's intention was or what they wanted to hear, but let's get this straight- Sexual relations outside a marriage are a no no. ... I'm saying this because many young, distorted minds feel that they can indulge in such acts outside or even before marriage because they feel it is not full sex, or that no one's "cherry" is popped. These folk will be under the impression that they can still be considered pure virgins at the time of marriage because full penetration never occurred, The same goes for people that will be so sure that they haven't committed adultery just because they didn't go all the way... This is a false misconception because sexual relations with anyone means any kind of pleasures gained via senses of touch, feel, taste or sight by use of another's body.
.....Bottom line is that oral is not prohibited, but it is still an act of sexual relations and is therefore not engaged with anyone other than your husband/wife. What you do with your husband or wife in the bedroom is entirely your business and nothing to do with sikhi. Saying that you can't engage in this or that in sikhi is like saying you can only wipe your backside with this hand or that one because your Sikh.

No worries Sat, this is not too unusual....It's your etheric/subtle body that is gaining kundalini potential. The etheric body is made up of energy channels called chi, meridians or nadis. These start getting blocked in all of us from when we detached from the umbilical cord and starting to get our minds enveloped in maya..  The etheric body affects physical body and vice versa.  Just as negative emotions, depressed moods etc. can lead to physical illness symptoms., then in the same way, a significant increase in chi or prana flow, can lead to physical and muscular stimulations. This is exactly how acupuncture works to relieve pain. The needle mapping in this therapy works on the Chinese meridian points- which are the same as nadis. Needling the surface of etheric body meridians results in stimulation and loosening of tight muscles. People wonder why acupuncture is not painful and why there is no bleeding,.....This is because, it is the subtle etheric body being poked, and not the physical.... p.s. " I've been having acupuncture and IMS regularly for a few years"
Anyway, I mentioned the above so that you get and idea about how powerful prana actually is..The muscle rigidity and aligning you experienced is because your erupting etheric energies are telling the physical to "straighten up and let us get through". This is why it is important to maintain good postural alignment for both a spiritual and physical well being.
I always imagine the prana flow and channels as thousands of long tubes running straight up your body. If you look at some human biology books or pictures and see the blood flow in veins, then you will see lots of valves that prevent blood from flowing backwards. I imagine the chi channels being blocked as if these kind of valves are closed shut and preventing flow........So when you felt the physical jolt and muscles aligning, ...it was because the prana was desperate to flow through and upwards along kundalini.. This is exactly what you want, but your physical body was not aligned and was obstructing by not helping the valves to open.... Thus, we can understand that to get the internal jog between atma and paramatma, we need to get some physical balance and alignments to help with the process.
I've heard that some people can be so physically unbalanced and unstable, that the prana channels can open with such a force that they get thrown a couple of feet from the floor as if some 'poltergeist' has wacked them whilst they were doing simran! ....On the other hand, some people can also end up passing flat out on the floor with such force when the prana erupts through channels above or near heart chakra.
Sehaj, 24/7 helps. Sehaj in day, no emotions, no regrets, no anger, no praise, no slander....just sehaj ,,,calm  and neutral... This will help all your body layers to stay in equilibrium. It will help prevent abrupt and  sudden flows of energy.
