I can totally relate to what you are saying. I actually feel internal detachment occurring that I have to force myself to remain grounded so to speak.

A kind member on here recommended I read the following book.

Naam should take you beyond the subconscious mind to the 4th state called Turiya, Chota Pad and beyond...
Try not to be so pessimistic in your thinking. Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji would never have wrote the following if it wasn't possible in this life time. The question is do you have the desire to achieve it this lifetime. Having the mind-set of oh it will happen in future janams is just an excuse to say you don't want to experience it in this one, and not prepared to put in the effort to do it in this one. Make the effort now and leave the rest to his grace. Rest what will be will be...

You should start writing a book veer ji !  And keep adding your experiences. Publish it when you feel you have reached the destination.

    What difference would that make?
Would it help them be better saints if they wore white, or if they wore a sword and if they got initiated with khande di pahul into some panth?
The answer is No. Wearing certain clothes, wearing swords and taking khande di pahul is helpful for beginners who have no idea what spirituality is. It is their initiation into a spiritual path. That's where their journey begins. They are just beginning to walk on this path.
People who have already attained high states of being don't need these things. They are getting close to completing their path. It would not make any difference what they did. As Kabir ji says, "they could have long hair or shave their head bald."
Before wearing white and kirpans was a thing, holy people wore malas and carried shaligrams, the signs of a saint. They looked very holy. But some people who wore these things, were not holy and in fact they were harmful, they were fakes. Guru Sahib tells us that these outward signs are problematic because sometimes they may not reflect the wearer's inner state.
So do not rely on these outward signs alone. Eventually you must look past this.

    Good stuff Sat.
I think that this guy came here some time last year and I recall my Kundalini instructor mentioning a few things.
These guys have a lot more spiritual information than fellow Sikhs imagine. I have learned some incredible wisdom and encouraging knowledge from Yoga teachers. Sometimes just a few simple explanations and reasons seem to fit so well with what Gurbani says. It often results with understanding and seeing gurbani at more deeper and informative levels when experience and practice can be applied directly.

Glad you got some doubts cleared up Sat, because doubts are a huge hindrance on the spiritual path.

Yogi Amandeep Singh is a very down to earth humble guy. I had the privilege of having a short chat with him today about my simran experiences to date and he was able to confirm that the experiences were normal and encountered on the path within. He was also able to clear up some questions and doubts I was having especially with regards to anhad sounds and the views expressed by him were very encouraging indeed.

Something new again today. Was doing saas saas and then the sound of waheguru in my mind automatically started matching my heartbeat for a few moments
maybe a minute or two. Felt very pleasurable. Eventually I got caught up with what was happening and it ended.

These days doing jaap silently/whispering has been very effective. I might spend a few days experimenting with this.

    ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਗਾਜੈ ਸਬਦੁ ਬਾਜੈ ॥
    Gobinḏ gājai sabaḏ bājai. ..
It's as if the skies open and it thunders when Gobind(Lord of the universe reveals himself)   .... You getting close kid!...  This thundering doesn't have to happen,.... but it can happen... when you hear the Lord's voice.   Gurbani says that it Thunders and roars with the Voice of Akaal purakh and then It will rain with amrit when the message comes down to you!
You have to Note  that this is also exactly the same way that Moses heard the 10 commandments. The old testament bible gets translated as Moses climbing the Mountain(Sinai) and then experiencing the thunder and rain with the voice of God and a Hukam of 10 commandments. But I'm 100% sure that the mountain is a metaphor for the peak he climbed whilst meditating deep inside antarghat and reaching the internal peak to where he had raised his consciousness.  In reference to this, there is a similarity in sikhi from what I gather, and that is a HUKAM direct from Akaal Purakh can definitely be heard if you are lucky enough.  Next time just hold on sit tight and don't wander, just let the Mind continue listening.

Had a very different experience today. This was close to the end of a 2 hour Simran session
My mind got absorbed into the focus and my entire body started vibrating extremely fast and hard. It was so intense that it was like being on a roller coaster. I started hearing these very deep sounds, I think somewhat like thunder- its hard to describe. A few other sounds but I can't really describe them.
They were getting louder and clear as the focus started to become deeper but I lost it a little while later.
I think curiosity is a big problem for me. I start to analyze what's happening and I lose it. Should just let it happen.

Sat1176 reacted to Lucky in Is there a thin line between love and hate?
there is No hate there is ONLY TRUTH and LOVE, Love for ONE.
ALL the hate, the love for others(that you think!) are products of the MIND. When you truly and very truly Love GOD and the One Truth, then you will never know or experience Hate.
Love for Prabh comes first. Even the significance of Anand Karaj is the love for prabh and the stages for union with this Love.

Sat1176 reacted to Lucky in ASTRAL TRAVEL AND SIKHISM
You guys are getting mixed up with what you read about astral travel.
There are a few different events that are often coined under the same banner.
Firstly, in Simran, and in advanced stages of simran, you can experience "consciousness expansion" this is being fully conscious of exactly where you are physically and at the same time your consciousness can also be in full awareness some place millions of miles away!  This means you don't exactly "exit' your body or anything and leave it behind, but you can be fully conscious in 2 places at once.  A member or two on here has experienced this whilst meditating and you really won't ever understand it unless it's experienced.
Secondly, In simran/as per gurmat /gurbani. ...the object is to CLOSE the 9 doors(naun darwajey) and meet our One Prabh. This is ONLY by "Har Har Naam dhyiaana"  . Now, I can't say no more, because I don't know if 9 doors close and soul exits dasam duar to have darshan OR if the darshan occur whilst in a state of consciousness expansion. However, I do feel that it is probably the former and in that sense, I believe that our interest as per gurbani, should only be on astral event of closing naun darwajey and opening the dasam.
As per the most common explanations of astral travel, which involves atma (inner soul) exiting body via some route or method; Sikh abyaasee is only interested in leaving the body via dasam duar, because that is the only direct portal to waheguru. Leaving by any other of the 9 doors keeps you in the lower realms.

    Savinderpal,

This whole issue has been discussed many times when they first started up. You can find many threads on sikhsangat about him.

But to put it simply they have a 1 year naam abhyaas course where you probably stay there and do a serious about amount of daily naam abhyaas under their guidance. At the end they give you a certificate from their institution called Brahm Gyan University stating you completed the 1 year naam abhyaas course. I don't believe it states you are now officially a "Brahmgiani", which was how people started interpreting it. Think there is also a 4 year course.

Yes they have certainly raised the bar in who can partake in Amrit. They believe one should have a certain level of kamiyee and reached a certain avasta before you should present yourself to take amrit. I'm not 100% sure but I think as a minimum you should have reached the stage of anhad shabad. Even after taking the amrit I think you have to commit to spending another year doing further strong naam abhyaas as some other jugties are taught in the amrit sanchar.

They certainly believe in quality not quantity.

Think the aim is to develop pacharaks with practical kamyeee as well as knowing teachings of Guru Maharaj.

I really like his lectures. He is one of the rare few who openly emphasized that one should do waheguru simran and you should focus your dhiyan on dhun of the gurmantar. He also discussed some very advanced stages of sunn, chota pad, dasam duar.
